  1. YES! this was a huge problem, I had one travel agent have our guests from halifax there SIX DAYS before we got there from Toronto!!! ummmm not going to work... we are trying to organize a wedding! I found tripcentral.ca to be a GREAT resource. If you go into their "vacation packages" tab you can list all the trips for a specific week month etc. What I did was go into these for every departure city we have, see what day was common between all the cities (or as many as possible) and than tell my travel agent the date we wanted to depart from all cities. Also, Air Canada Vacations (who we are booking with) has all of the departure cities you mentioned and what they are doing (for us at least) is everyone is connected to Toronto and then we are all on the same flight together to Punta Cana! Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!!!
  2. Hi Messica, Welcome to the group! You will find tons of great information on this site it is truly an amazing resource!! Use the search tool and you will find lots of information on Jamica weddings, resorts etc. We were originally looking at Jamaica and I fell in love with the Iberostar Rose Hall Suite and Grand! It was too pricey for when we wanted to go for our guests but depending on your budget I think it is wonderful!!! You have lots of time to plan but Destination Weddings are so popular now that the resorts do book up quickly!!! Have fun planning!!!
  3. Visit (http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/personal/productsservices/picturepostage/default_en.htm) and you can create your own!
  4. Hi Canadian Girl, you said you found your bags at dollarama? Do you mind posting a pic if you can figure it out lol I would love to know what they look like as the american brides all have great options but us canadian brides have a harder time!!!
  5. Hi tabtihad, I know the post is a little old but was wondering if you are still interested in selling your dress?!
  6. Hi lianee! Welcome! I am by no means an expert but I will share what I have learned and what we have decided to do! We could not decide on a resort for the life of us I would say that this is the #1 thing to do! Deciding on a resort takes all those other options off the table, each resort offers different wedding options and having all those different things to consider just made it way to hard. Once you have decided on a resort get in touch with them. We were also flexible on dates but knew we wanted to be in February 2012 (or around there). I got some great advice and that was to book your wedding date before you book your trip! Some places are already booked! for weeks straight and it would be absolutely awful if you booked your trip and couldn't get a date!! We decided to talk to a travel agent, get some quotes and that way we could narrow down what dates we were looking at. I have already been back and fourth 3 times with the WC at the resort because that dates I have suggested are booked! Once we secure a date we will book our trip and send out our invites. From what I have learned we are a little behind in the process! Since you are looking at getting married around the same time I would definitely suggest getting your resort picked so you can confirm a date!! Hope this helps and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!!! CONGRATS

  8. Canadiangirl - there are toooons of threads on OOT bags on the site. There is a search function at the top that will help you find ANYTHING you are looking for!! I think your information doesnt show up until you are more active, I am also a new member so I am probably not much help!! Congrats on the setting the date and welcome to BDW!!!!
  9. Just spent 20 minutes on the dollartree website!! The totes are back AND I cannot get over all the amazing stuff you can order for your OOT bags!!! Now I just have to figure out how this Canadian Bride can get all of that great stuff!!!
  10. Is your dress still available? What height of heels did you wear with it?
  11. How much is the dance floor? At Majestic Colonial they are $900 for 1-4 hours (it doesn't matter how long you have them for) we are only going to have 2 hours for dancing so it is quite pricey but we have heard amazing things!
  12. Congrats! We were going to get married at the Iberostar Rose Hall, the suites is lovely but the grand is spectacular!
