    YAY! Glad to see this stirred up a little discussion. We have budgeted 10K that includes our travel (flight and hotel) but no honeymoon the rest is all wedding costs. Our reception/dinner is going to cost about 2k-3k we think with DJ and bar and everything, photographer is just under 3k (could have gotten carried away here) so now that I am breaking it down it doesn't seem like much! We have done a spread sheet for 20/30/40/50/60 guests and comparing costs etc and we seem to be able to make it work. I expect we will end up closer to 12k though!

    Welcome Amanda, so nice to have another Feb2012 bride on here!!!! We have no idea on guest #s yet either so I am trying really hard to contain my need to start every project!!! I LOVE the sheppard hooks Robyn, I didn't realize the resort had them!!! Have you emailed your WC to see how much they are to rent? I will take pictures of the pomanders and post them later today!!!

    I saw these the other day and thought they would be perfect bridesmaids dresses. They are from Jacob right? You can also look at H&M, RW&co, Le Chateau as well. I am thinking I may do the convertible dresses from American Apparel because they are inexpensive and they can all wear them a way they like and theyre comfy, I am just afraid they may be too casual! My other choice is a strapless cocktail dress. What are your colours beachbum? Or have you not decided yet? My BMs will be wearing one of our colours

    DaramaticAnnie you are AMAZING!!!!! Sale alerts sound unreal I am heading to the website now to sign up. Kathie - you can order online from http://www.shopbubba.com/ but I don't believe they ever have any sales as significant as the Canadian tire one!!!

    Meeshie, sounds like you're having the same problem as me! Did you ever expect a raised solitaire to give you so many problems?! I would love to see a picture of the plain bands you mentioned, with your ring!

    Welcome! We are getting married February 4th 2012 in Punta Cana! I believe most places if you book everything early they will honour the 2011 pricing!

    Phil's price was really reasonable for what you get. He is doing full day coverage (approx 12 hours) and TTD the next day. We also looked at HDC Photo, Katya Nova, Photo Souvenir and a few others. When we worked out the costs they were all about the same as Phil (Katya is significantly more, she does amazing work though, just out of our budget!) Phil's nephew Michael may be available? He does amazing work too!!!
