  1. Thanks for posting the picture Lisa, they look great and the wine bottle is great perspective, who doesnt have wine sitting around!!!!!
  2. Hey Robyn, Just wanted to share with you my latest dollarama find! We had talked about them before, the sheppard hooks to hang the pomanders on as aisle markers. Well my mom and I were out yesterday and dollarama had them, they are only 2.5 or 3 ft tall but they are PERFECT! They will fit in a suitcase and only $1.25 each and not super heavy but definitely durable enough. I am so so excited and just wanted to share. I did have to go to a couple dollaramas to get enough as some of them didn't have them anymore but I am thrilled! We bought 10 for just about $13
  3. We ended up printing ours at home, Staples gave us a hard time about the template saying that "even with a laser cutter" they wouldn't be able to cut them (I cut them at home on my "Cutterpedede" from Walmart no problem!). Also, staples had no selection of cardstock to print on. I talked to the manager who said I could buy my own (only from them) and they could print on it but if it got stuck or messed up it was my problem, I still had to pay and they weren't going to re-print for me. Not so impressed with staples I went home to do a test on our printer and make sure cutting and everything was fine which it was! I ended up printing them all at home for only $1.25 an invite! Do you have a friend or family member with a decent printer you could use? Just buy the ink and paper and you're set. I found the quotes from printers to be ridiculous. It's like they see wedding invite and jack up the price! Good luck!!!!
  4. So glad you have got something you like! They are real fun once you get started and figure it out!! I can't wait to see pictures of your finished product!!!!
  5. I am not sure where you are located but Costco had packs of three for I think it was $15 or something around there. Another bride posted them on here and I saw them not too long ago. You could them do the waterproof stickers with your logo if you wanted to personalize but a great way to do a more affordable option. Also great quality!
  6. Thanks! I am visiting my parents in Toronto this weekend so I will definitely hit up a few of the dollaramas in the area, may change to the jute bags in blue!!
  7. My girlfriend whos colour is fuschia or hot pink got gorgeous heels from Kohls online and they were on sale! Another option to check out!!! I love coloured shoes under the wedding dress, just such a fun surprise!!!
  8. That's really smart Janette, I never would have thought about that! I have heard other brides used riboon in their colours instead of loops which I know you can also get at the dollarstore! Just a suggestion for anyone thinking of DIYing their luggage tags!!! Love this forum!!
  9. I have heard of the water proof labels but wasn't sure how they worked. A lot of brides have also mentioned using the window decals from Vista Print (sometimes you can get them FREE!) as they work as well. I like the idea of having the logo printed on the mugs, especially if the cost is right like the mugs you found Leigh, who cares if they rub or scratch off by the end of the week, everyone saw the original product and loved it. They'll only be coming off because people used them which is the point!!!!
  10. I have heard they sell out really quickly so that is my fear too! We will make the trip across the boarder just to come home with no amazing $1 totes.... *sigh* On a bright note, oriental trading has very similar bags to the dollartree totes in a few different colours. Not the bright fun colours but there is royal blue, red, black and there may be more. They are "faux" (polyester) canvas totes with nylon straps and are only $20 for 12 so the price is right! Just thought I would let you know for those with their hearts set on this style of bag like me!!!
  11. I don't think it is dumb at all Robyn. I actually wouldn't have even thought of it until I saw Phil mention it on the facebook page. I think it is important to feed your photographer especially if you are having them all day/night. Officiant is another story. We are having Pastor York officiate for us. I have heard (also thanks to FB) that he doesn't generally stay for dinner, usually has other weddings etc. I think we will extend the invitation to him and see what he says and play it by ear for dinner that way. I think I asked you before but forget the answer, who is your photographer?
  12. Thanks for the update!!! I have until February so even if they got them back in this summer it would be great! Did it sound like getting them back in stock was a possibility? I was planning a trip to the states tomorrow but have to reschedule, so disappointing because I had mapped out the 15 closest dollar trees to where we'd be! I planned on tracking down my OOT bags!! haha
  13. Coconoir, sounds like a fantastic weekend!!! All my BMs live far away from me too, I wish we could have a weekend like that!!! Enjoy every minute of it with your girls!!!
  14. Beachbum did you buy the travel mugs? I would love to see them!!! I love the jute bags, I think I am going to have to go check them out! The one near us had a different version but your are so much nicer! Did the pink style come in any other colours? Leigh have you ordered the bags from OT yet? I am curious as to what shipping is going to be like!!!
  15. Lua thanks so much for sharing your finished product! It is great to hear from a Bride who has done this as opposed to just seeing photos on a site!!! Looks amazing!!!
  16. Congrats! That was our original choice but we couldn't seem to get a reasonable rate!! I am sure your wedding will be beautiful!!!
  17. Oh no Janet! What happened? Can't make the trip?? Do you have other BMs??
  18. I am in Peterborough, ON these days. We used to live in Halifax but moved back to Ontario in October. We were in Mississauga for 5 months and then just recently moved here. I feel your pain on all the moving as we've done quite a few over the last little while. Shoe deals sound like music to my ears!!!! We will have to get together once you're back in Ontario!!!! Sorry ladies... off topic but still about shoes
  19. Hmmm.... didn't know this about Pepto... will have to look into it or ask our pharmacist, as an over the counter I wouldn't expect any issues! Thanks
  20. I got the flyer (didn't look at it!) but didn't get a notification!!! May have to go check it out today! I am headed to the states this weekend, hoping Walmart has the bubba mugs that another bride posted!!! Such great colours!
  21. Congrats!!!!! Can't wait to hear all about your planning!!!!
  22. Maybe that is just the way it is then?! I was just wondering if I am doing something wrong!!! I was hoping the "unread" threads would be near the top ie. threads I subscribe to or comment in that have new msgs. Oh well.... if anyone else can comment that would be great!!!!
