The luggage tags/name tags can be found on ebay and amazon as well as in store at office supply places!!!! I haven't bought mine but I also saw another bride mention she found them at the dollar store.... haven't seen them there yet!!! They actually have 15 SPF on for $0.79 as well... there is 3 different chapsticks, .79, .89, .99 Take your pick hahaha

I answered your message and then was talking to FI after and he was like "I am calling him to find out what the big deal is" I was like well they want to fly direct. He was like whatever there is no difference it adds basically no time to their trip. When he said that I thought you know what youre right! I am stressing out because 2 family members want a direct flight and not to connect through TO... I have decided to come to term with this is the rate we booked so that EVERYONE can be in the DR at the same time and enjoy the wedding AND a mini family reunion on each side... if they want a direct flight they are welcome to get one on their own but when I looked them up they are $400 more than our rate! I think you just need to make a decision and stick by it! This works for us and satisfies our need to have everyone there at the same time, if people have different preferences they are welcome to book independently or our TA can get them something figured out to suit their needs!!!! AHHHHHH I feel better!!! lol

If you found a $99 DB dress I don't think you would be getting it "replicated" as they wouldn't be able to do it for cheaper! It is a gorgeous dress and vbbbtk is right, I don't know why they always show the corset string out but it looks silly to me... tuck those in!!!!!

We aren't using the resort photographer... pictures are very important to us and so we had a lot of trouble deciding on a photographer!! We went with Katya Nova, she is absolutely amazing and both FI and I fell in love with her work!!! She works with her Fiance and I love that we will have 2 photographers capturing multiple reactions at the same time. The outside photographer fee is a little ridiculous but you have to do what you have to do I guess! I am starting to realize that the MC/ME have a lot of silly extra fees for everything surrounding weddings... OH WELL!!!!

It is so so frustrating! I feel like we made the wrong decision. She really pushed Air Canada Vacations on us and so we booked with them. All our guests will be connecting through TO and then we will on be on the same flight to the DR. It sounded great to me and in theory works well BUT now that people are booking they aren't loving the idea... I am tempted to have her get direct flights for people with a different tour operator... so confusing, she is supposed to make my life easier yet she didn't bring up the downsides to this way of travel... oh well... live and learn! I heard another bride call the dollarstore the "wedding planning store" lol I thought that was a good one and soo sooo true!!! ANNNND even if I do get to the states before I am sure I will need another trip near the end of the summer so we can definitely go!!!!!

Have you checked out the facebook group? There are several picture on there, Brendali just posted a bunch of pictures from her wedding at the wetbar. $500/hr reception is not dinner just wanted to make sure you knew that! We are doing the semi private dinner at steakhouse followed by the reception at the wet bar, I don't think our guests will be bothered by moving. Have you decided on a photographer? Where are you from Shahlo? We go to buffalo all the time it is only an hour and a half from my parents house so its an easy day trip!!! You just need a passport to go across!!!

That sounds great, we had friends who had their wedding at a different resort but did their reception on the Baracaza boat and loved it!! They highly recommended it, we are just afraid we will have too many people... You could always do the steakhouse dinner as a welcome dinner or goodbye dinner with all your guests as well!!!

The nice thing about the first aid kits from Dollarama is they always have them!! It's not seasonal or anything so it is 1 thing you do not have to get it when you see!!!!

That's so exciting!!! I was hoping it was to me because I haven't heard of ANY other brides getting married around the same time as us!!! Sadly we will probably be passing each other at the airport. I blame the families, we are inviting some of FIs aunts and uncles who are in nursing homes.... we know they wont come but his parents insisted!!!! Aside from that his side is huge and mines not too much better.... I couldn't get over how many people... over 200!!!! UGH oh well... we already know who we can expect and who we know is a definite NO!

I do Buffalo shopping trips too!!!! I am hoping to go the end of this month, just waiting to get a better idea of numbers! Our TA has been away since we booked our trip... ahem not impressed... so no one has been able to book their trips. My FMIL called FI yesterday saying we need to figure this out. She is back now but needless to say FI is not impressed at all!!! Oh well, there has to be some drama right?! We have until end of august to get deposits down... I just hope people start booking soon!!!!
