Dollar Tree Tote Bags
torilynnsmith replied to kball21's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
They are pretty small just to let everyone know. They are more like a lunch bag size then a beach bag. The towel pictured would be more like a hand towel than a true beach towel. I saw them when I went to find the original dollar tree beach bags and was actually shocked at how small they were! Just wanted to let you all know so you arent disappointed when you receive them! -
Awww you are too sweet!!! I am glad you like them!!!! I used the full page labels for all my label printing needs. I measured my chapstick (with overlap for the label to stick to itself) and used that size. I can't remember the dimensions now but if you just peel off your chapstick label it is really easy to do! Let me know if you need any other help!

I am leaning to Mikaella 1406 because of the simplicity lol too funny!!!! I have been out quite a bit but am down to the two dresses, nothing has even interested me since those two so thanks to @Laurelyns dress I have found out where it is sold near me and booked an appointment for tomorrow. Hopefully they have the sample in stock I totally forgot to ask but they also carry pronovias. I am hoping to try both on and make my decision tomorrow!!! I am running out of time!!!! My mom loves the galante but I love the simplicity and elegance of the mikaella style, I also feel that it is more timeless than the galante with the ruffles and such.... such a tough choice... we'll see how tomorrow goes! Adorae is SO heavy, but so gorgeous!!! -
This is awful but I have no idea what kind of printer we have, I am away from home for the weekend so I can't even check. I am pretty sure it is an HP but to be honest I don't really like it. If one ink cartiridge runs out it wont print until you replace it, just annoying but it is a good printer. Check out Best Buy or Future Shop, thats what we did and there are some very reasonably priced ones. Get someone knowledgeable to help you!!!! Good luck!! Oh that's so great!!!!!! I would love to see them, nice to know I was able to help someone as everyone else helped me!!!!!

Thanks ladies, we went ahead and booked our photographer, we are just going to suck up the $300.... now $400 vendor fee (Because of her assistant) as it is still cheaper than paying for the 3 nights. we are getting up there in photography but I really like her work. I sort of wish nowI had checked out bringing a photog from home since the cost is working out to the same if not more now... oh well! Happy with our decision, just maybe not all the extra costs!!!!

Found this and thought I would share: Top 10 things to consider when hiring a wedding photographer. 1. Talk with them on the phone if you can and don’t just email them. With email it can be hard to understand tone and context. Get to know them, ask questions that get you closer to who they are and what makes them tick. 2. If you are in the same state make sure to meet with them. Make sure this person is someone you would like at your wedding. You may spend more time with them than family and friends on your wedding day. You want to be on the same page and click with them! 3. If you have a chance look at a full wedding. Don’t get fooled into looking just at one gallery of favorites. Make sure they are capable of creating what you expect at each and every wedding. 4. Make sure you like there style. Some photographers shoot every wedding the same hence a style emerges. Others shoot freestyle and create different looks for each client. Make sure you trust them enough to create something special for you. Another thing to think about is just because you like there style make sure it fits who you are. In other words it may look great for the last bride but not you. 5. Ask your photographer if they have a backup plan. Digital photographers rely on hard drives to archive your images. Anyone with a computer will know that computers frequently have problems. If they give you a blank stare or can’t explain what they do then you know they are unprepared. Your photographer should have your images backed up in multiple places and perhaps a copy off site. These things cost money so be prepared that photographers with good back up plans will cost more. 6. Does your wedding photographer have liability insurance. This is important because many venues will require they have insurance before they are able to provide services. It’s also good to be covered when accidents happen! 7. Ask about backup equipment. Again if you get a blank stare you know they are not prepared to shoot your wedding. They should have a at least 2 bodies for each photographer and multiple lenses and flashes. This sounds trivial but digital cameras do fail. We have had 2 cameras and two flashes stop working at a wedding before. If we were unprepared and only had two cameras we would be unable to take more photo’s. There are many photographers who do not have enough gear to shoot at weddings, so make sure to ask. 8. If they get sick what happens. If they can’t talk about it then they haven’t thought about it. The answer you want to here is that they are in professional organizations (ppa, wppi) or have other photographer friends who they have made a deal with. Make sure they will replace themselves with someone of a similar style and price point. 9. Pricing- make sure you understand what you are getting up front and their pricing practices are up front and understandable. Many photographers have introductory pricing that is back end loaded. They know that they can upsell you after the wedding. 10. Do a search on the internet to find out all you can about your photographers. Search items like there names, phone number, and business name. It is amazing what you what you can find out these days. You can find complaints, praises that they may not want you to find. The internet and information are on your side Personally we have had a lot of trouble deciding, booking etc our photographer! I highly recommend fully understanding their procedures etc. Ask for a contract before signing or committing to anything so you can understand what they are all about. We put a deposit down with one photog just to regret our decision, we never got a contract or anything so we didn't know where we stood. luckily we were able to get a refund of our deposit (30 days) and was able to book our dream photographer. She passed along a VERY detailed contract and this had us thinking again. luckily we know that with her contract every question or concern was answered. Anything we wanted to know we also communicated through email so we had it in writing! Hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions I feel like our photog dilemma really tested me but in the end I am happy with our choice!

torilynnsmith replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
picked up the GM shirts today. We found navy linen Mexx dress shirts at winners for 24.99, couldn't pass it up. Going to get FI to try one on to make sure the fit is right but I think they will be great and a good deal!!! Off in search on linen pants and suits tomorrow.... -
February 2012 Brides!!!!!!
torilynnsmith replied to torilynnsmith's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
It can get so frustrating at times can't it! Photography was so so so so sooooo important to me, but when we started looking at costs I said to FI why don't we just make some sacrifices. He insisted this wasn't something we were going to sacrifice because it is the one thing (more important to me than the dress!) that I had always said. Now that our photographer deposit is down and we are committed I am relieved and happy with our decision. It is going to be tough dishing out 1/3 of our original wedding budget on photography but all fingers crossed that we made the right choice and it was worth it!!!! -
Dress Budget???
torilynnsmith replied to Bride2012's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I originally wanted to spend under $1000 on my dress, I didn't want to be picky and was sure I could "settle" on something. I should have known myself better... I'm the girl who goes into winners or marshalls and in the racks of $24.99 purses pulls out the $300+ handbag... ugh! I have fallen in love with 2 dresses in the $1500 range which isn't too bad but still more than I had hoped to pay....at a loss and trying to decide what to do! Glad to hear I am not the only one thinking under 1k -

I did notice the extra flowers and feathers in there!!!! It made me wonder if I really knew the dress lol. I actually think your dress is more fitted before the flare or mermaid as well... now I am even more confused, definitely like your better than the mikaella!!!! Thanks for posting the link!!!!! -

Any one work with Pastor Rick York??
torilynnsmith replied to mrullo's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Pastor York only does symbolic ceremonies not legal ceremonies. You would have to communicate with your WC to ensure that the judge can make it legal f they dont perform the ceremony. I don't think it is possible but you may as well look into it!!! Good luck! -

Love your tips and tricks idea as well. something to include in your welcome brochure!! Oh that is so awesome!!! Where did you go?Buffalo? I need more gatorade packs, the big lots we went to only had 5 boxes with a late enough expiry date for me so I will have to make another trip! Where did you find your BM dresses?!
