Show us your wedding dress!
torilynnsmith replied to Jennifer's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Thanks Laurelyn, I can see why you fell in love with your dress, I still definitely have a crush on it!!! I came out of the fitting room beaming with the biggest smile ever!!! It is a great dress for sure!!! I will have to live vicariously through your dress pictures of the 2bebride dress!!!! -
I went with Ivory, not realizing I had only tried on ivory dresses this saturday I tried on a white dress and man did I hate it!!!! I have a great tan going since its summer and did not expect to hate it as much as I did. I think it is personal preference, try on both colours in any dress and you will be able to tell! I got FIs shirt in white but I don't think it will be a huge issue they are not perfectly matched!

Love all your shells, you can TOTALLY make that shell bouquet DIY if you are up for it as you are definitely crafty enough!!!! A foam ball from any craft store (or some dollar stores) some shells and a glue gun will be your BFF. I was making shell pomanders (1 mini done and 1 large) but ended up finding them at winners (your marshalls) for cheaper than I could make them so just bought them but your bouquet would be the exact same!!!! You can do it!!!!!

torilynnsmith replied to reevesbride's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment

February 2012 Brides!!!!!!
torilynnsmith replied to torilynnsmith's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Just checked out your dress online and it is GORGEOUS!!!! I love the 1 strap, that is what I was originally leaning toward!!! Mine is basically a sweetheart version of pronovias galante, it is a special collection by pronovias but I will post a picture when I get it. It sort of looks like "fresa" but not quite the exact same. At least gives you an idea. I originally expected to do the flowy beachy destination wedding dress but definitely didn't like how they fit me either!!!! I am so glad to hear someone else is doing hot yoga, we are doing moksha and love it. It is so great to sweat it all out and my skin feels amazing!!!! I am a shoe whore for lack of a better word so the idea of giving up beautiful heels is really hard for me to take! I am going to go barefoot for the ceremony (on the beach) and am on the hunt for the perfect navy shoe to wear for dinner and the reception. I considered doing a flat sandal like a gladiator style or something but I don't know. Plans may change but for now I am set on having my shoes!!! What are your plans?! -
Dress Budget???
torilynnsmith replied to Bride2012's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Post a picture!!! I would love to see the dress you are talking about. When I was deciding between 2 dresses one was significantly under my budget and the other was at my budget. I was leaning toward the less expensive dress until I realized that was the only real reason. Don't give up on your dress if 1) you can afford it and 2) you know you really love it. If the price tag is not an issue for your pocketbook don't let you mind talk you out of it! -
Not sure I understand your question. If you download the ayleebits template it is 3 pages - 1 blank boarding pass outline, 1 boarding pass where you can add info, this has the barcode and the boxes, and the last is the "not a valid travel voucher" print. Let me know if you have any other questions, you can also check out my templates they may help you!

torilynnsmith replied to hommer's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I actually picked mine up at Walmart in New York, so if you are in the states or planning a trip I would recommend checking them out! We got 18oz tumblers for under $5 and the 34oz mugs for $6.22 -
Bubba Kegs
torilynnsmith replied to hommer's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Just thought I would share with everyone that Bubba Kegs are on sale in Canada at Canadian Tire right now for 50% off!!!! I just stopped in to check it out and they had ALL the sizes on sale. For those that haven't made it over the 20oz bubba mug kegs (w/handle) are $5.99, the 16oz "Chugs" I believe they call them are $7.99 the 32oz kegs are $7.99 and the 52oz kegs are $9.99 (these are great for FI and the GM or dads as they are soooooo big it is such a fun thing for down south) Really great for Canadian prices so if you are looking to get them I would say now is the time. Also if your Canadian Tire is out go to the service desk and get a rain check!!!!!! Then you can go in an pick them up when they're back in stock and still get the sale price The colours are chocolate brown, black, a grey/blue and purple right now. Also a note, the 20oz kegs some of them have a bottle opener on the bottom of the handle and some don't so if you are trying to keep it consistent check that out too. No need for it Down south but would be great at a cottage or camping!!!!! Good luck everyone!!! -

February 2012 Brides!!!!!!
torilynnsmith replied to torilynnsmith's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
OMG!!! Congrats on the HUGE weight loss that is AMAZING!!!!!! You must be so proud of yourself, what are your secrets? I would like to lose about 20, or rather tone and firm certain areas, the number doesnt really matter to me!! I just completed a 1 month yoga challenge and we got there about 4 times a week which I was happy with. I have noticed I am getting back to where I want to be but still a ways to go! I am also losing all my bust from yoga, no idea why, so I am going to get back at the gym as well to get that problem fixed ASAP lol We should definitely start sharing our dieting, exercise, weight loss secrets as feb brides!!! I know there is a weight loss support for 2012 brides but its nice to talk to brides that are on the same timeline as me!!!!! OMG that is amazing!!! What dress did you choose?! I will post a picture once I get it! We didnt take any photos of me in it and since it is a private collection there is none online so the salon will be sending me a photo tomorrow!!!!! I don't actually like how my dress looks "on the hanger" but it will have to do for now!!!!! -

February 2012 Brides!!!!!!
torilynnsmith replied to torilynnsmith's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
CONGRATS!!!!! It looks great on you!!!!!! When do you get to try it on again after alterations?! I bought bliztex with SPF 15 in the states for under $1 a piece and I created my own labels using powerpoint. I then purchased 8.5 x 11 full page labels sheets and just printed all my labels on those as that way I could do the variety of sizes i needed ie. first aid kits, sewing kits, bubble bath, lip balms etc. Let me know if you need more details, you can also check out my OOT bag thread to see how they turned out! I was quite happy with them! -

torilynnsmith replied to torilynnsmith's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Hello my lovely Feb12 brides!!! Just wanted to share that I said yes to the dress and went ahead and ordered my dress today!!!!!!! I had it down to two styles and went to one last shop that carried both so I could try them on one after the other lol, well turns out they had another version of the pronovias gown I loved and it was PERFECT!!!! After trying the 2 dresses one 3 times each I made my decision and am so excited to get it!!! 4-6 months of waiting is going to kill me!!!! So I am curious, anyone else ordered their dress yet?! We are going to need to start seeing pictures soon!!!!!!!!! -
Celticgirl - I was at The Bargain Shop today and they had similar beach towels to the ones I saw at Superstore for $3.50 each just thought I would let you know because again and fairly good price point!!!!!!! I feel like I had more OOT finds to report but can't think of them now!!!! See this is why I need an app for BDW!!!!! I ordered my dress today totally off topic but I just had to share! I am off to Canadian Tire tomorrow to check out the Bubba Kegs, I am thinking we are going to need a few more so we'll see!!!!!! Anyone know CTs return policy? I am thinking Ill pick up a few and if I have extra just return them.... hmmmmmmm Annie I am frustrated I didn't get a notification either!! I have been putting up with the weekly emails jsut because of the notifications... will have to see why that is!

What are you walking down the Aisle to?
torilynnsmith replied to reevesbride's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
I love your whole set list. I think God Only Knows is so great for you and your dad walking to your new husband. Unfortunately FI and I have just wrapped up a Big Love (tv show) kick and the only thing we think of when we hear that song is the show!!!!!!! Maybe if we can get past it in the next 6 months I may just borrow your idea!!!!! -

Beautiful dress Meeshie!!!!!! I too said yes to my dress today and cannot believe I made a decision and ordered it!!! I am so so so excited the next 4-6 months cannot go by fast enough!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I do not have a picture, we didnt take one of me in it and it is a special collection for the bridal salon so it is not even online!!!!! I chose a pronovias gown that is basically a sweetheart version of the galante with a few other modifications. I did try on the Kathy Ireland dress posted a few posts back as I fell in love with it and that was the reason we went to this particular store but I had it down to the two and went with my first love, the pronovias!!!!! Can't wait to get a picture of it so I can post it!!!! -
Dress Budget???
torilynnsmith replied to Bride2012's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I am so curious as to where people are finding $300 dresses, I would have liked to stay there but found it impossible around here!!! Good luck and I can't wait to see what you choose!!!!! -
Congrats and welcome!!!! I can't believe how much you have decided already, it took us 10 months to choose a resort LOL best of luck in your planning, you have definitely come to the right place!!! BDW will be your home from here on out!!!!!

First Aid Kit Templates :)
torilynnsmith replied to luvmoo's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
If you are starting your OOTs and need the templates just PM me and I would be happy to email them to you!!!!! I would much rather that then see the "cool" "nice" "great job!" posts everywhere!!!!!!!! Happy to help out a few brides to be like myself!!!!! -
That is so exciting, we had several of the same photographers in our mix too!!!! I loved that Katya and Rob (her fiance) would both be there to photograph for us. I always wanted to have 2 photographers because they capture such a wide range of shots and emotions like both mine and FI's reaction walking down the aisle, shots of our guests and family during the ceremony etc. I highly recommend getting in touch with Katya, she has been an absolute pleasure to communicate with and was so quick to answer any questions I had!!!!!!! Best of luck deciding, be sure to let me know who you choose!!!! It's a tough decision but once you had it done man does it feel good!!!
