  1. Luggage Tag STDs - It all depends on what else you are putting with them, shipping rates in your country (I know Canada and US are different) you may want to consult the post office first to find out different prices and options. Brochures - If you are doing STDs will you be sending invites to ALL guests who received a STD or just those who book or RSVP yes? If so I suppose you could include a brochure with your invites. Not sure what you are looking to cover in this so early on in your planning process though. Most people do a "pre travel brochure" sent to guests about a month before the trip. Otherwise they include a brochure in their OOT bags. If you do some searches of the forums you will definitely find more information regarding both your questions Happy Planning!
  2. Wanted to share my inspiration board I did up today. It's probably a little late for it but I wanted to collaborate all my inspiration pictures I have been saving in one place!
  3. So I have had a inspiration picture folder on my computer for probably a year now, when I come across something I like I save it. I decided to put together my not so traditional inspiration board to share with everyone. I am having a lot of trouble deciding on flowers. I originally wanted calla lillies but my gf used them at her wedding this past weekend and my mom thinks they are "over done" and now I think I am kind of over them. I really like peonies but think they will be hard to find real touch. Any help would be appreciated My navy is not really running through here too much but the GM will be wearing navy shirt and the BM wearing navy dresses. Most else will be green and white accents. I will wrap my bouquet with navy ribbon and wear navy shoes!
  4. I never thought of that before!!!! I don't find mine looks more square at all but truthfully I never even considered it! BLING BLING!!!!!!! Its fun when they get excited about something wedding related too!
  5. Thanks!!!!! I love them!!! I am excited to here the CK ones come in green!!!!
  6. 2 for $3!!!!!! Kind of makes me want to do a flip flop basket now lol I know most people will HAVE their flip flops and if they don't wear them they will only be a short walk to their room away so do you think this is a waste?! I mean theyre great at "traditional" weddings but what is everyones opinions of the down south flip flops basket?!
  7. I am off to check ardenes and le chateau! I heard the le chateau ones were like $15 or $20 so this is good to know, was it just specific colours jaykay?
  8. Have you checked out oriental trading they have a TON of stuff for inexpensive to add to OOT bags and they ship to Canada. Not sure if they have them but worth checking out! Also always google for a coupon code for OT! There are lots of threads from other brides who did the maraca thing so search to forum too you may get some good info there!
  9. I have been considering bookmarks for awhile now, I figure they are an easy addition to the bags! I know I read a TON on vacation, I love that yours are "beachy" without being all about the wedding. I am being careful not to plaster our names and date on everything so I think I will have to borrow some of your wording!
  10. How are the linen pants?! Are they nice? FI is very concerned they will be "cheap" and not fit properly so I am hesitant but they look great online and for $15 I can't go wrong!!!!! FI asked to wear his wedding shirt the other day, Michael Kors I picked up in the states, I was like UMMMMMM NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh boys, can't live with them cant live without them!
  11. I love that idea!!!!!!! Very cool!!!! It is gorgeous!!!!! Looks so different in the blue colour definitely like it on you more!!!!
  12. No I didn't I had these kits before we even set a date, originally I was going to send our boarding passes (invites) in the passport covers but then we decided to invite everyone and not just send invites to people who booked (our original plan was an evite thing and then formal invites for those who booked). I have seen the michaels ones and LOVE them!!!!! I like how they coordinate too!!! Definitely pick one up for yourself, I have had one for a few years and LOVE it!!!
  13. Totally forgot about the key card holders, we have those too!!!!! It is Avons last week for the 5oz aloe for $1.89 which is a GREAT deal, I really wanted to include this but FI and my Mom said people are prepared for the SUN and the TOILETRIES needs (shampoo, toothpaste etc.) so I thought to avoid giving things people will have already brought we will stay away from them. MJKH we are doing the "big" emergency kits too and I am thinking stocking extra sunscreen and aloe is a great idea so if anyone needs it they aren't paying an arm and a leg! I was only going to do first aid supplies and medicine but why not sunscreen and aloe... it is essentially down south medicine! LOL
  14. Has anyone been able to find the individually wrapped shout wipes in Canada? I picked mine up in the states but need more! I will be making another trip across the border but thought I would check with my fellow canadians to see if they found any here! amjohnson: as far as contents goes here is what will be in our bags - we will be doing 1 bag for every couple and 1 for every single - Bags - Bubba Keg Mugs (1 for each person) - with individual dish soap in each - Wedding Week Survival Kit (includes) - Gatorade individual packs(1 per person) - Shout Wipes Individual packs(2 wipes per person) - Pepto Bismol Chewable tablers (6 tablets per person) - Hand Sanitizer (1 per bag) - Mini Altoids (1 per bag) - Blistex with SPF 15 (1 per person) - Advil 10 ct travel size (1 per bag) - Tums Chewable Tablet roll 8 tablets oer roll (1 per bag) - Nail Polish remover pads (2 for every lady so 2 per couple bag and 2 per single lady bag - none in the guys bags) - 1 Nail File (for every lady so 1 per couple bag and 1 per single lady bag - none for the guys) - 3 hair elastics (for ladies bags only - whether they have short hair or not I couldn't be bothered to think that much) - extra safety pins (4-5 per bag) - Sewing Kit - Shell shaped soap - First Aid Kit - with extra bandaids added - Notepad and pen - Facecloth (1 per person) We also have Coordinating Passport Cover, Luggage Tag and Key Tag to add. I haven't decided if this will all go in the OOT bags or if we will do a "pre-travel" package including passport covers/luggage tags or one of. My mom collected these for us over the last year or so and they are "His and Hers" Hers being white and his being black. I thought theyd be a nice addition and theyre FREE but regular $40 a set so I think it'll be good! I may add playing cards or sudoku/crossword books to the bags to but that would be a last minute addition. We have talked about adding a candy and chocolate to each bag as well which we would likely pick up at the dollarstore something gummy and something chocolate! A friend of mine was telling me she did Caramilk bars and took off the caramilk label and created her own! I totally forgot until just now so I am thinking I may be designing a candy bar label lol I will be adding bubble bath and the poly to go to our parents and bridal parties bags as our resort has large jacuzzis in each room and some rooms even have outdoor jacuzzis so I thought bubbles would be really nice. I may still add that to everyone elses bags but again I have to be careful as it is so easy to get carried away with these bags! As for printed material not yet complete that I will be adding - Do Not Disturb Door Hanger - Welcome Letter/Postcard (possible vista print?!) - Resort Map - Wedding Day Timeline - Thank you card (may combine this with our welcome letter - Photo Share Card Ok I think that is all I hope that helps with some tips and ideas, there are TONS of OOT threads with lots of suggestions as well. Here is the link to my own OOT bag thread so you can see everything I am talking about (I'm OOT obsessed) and I will see if I can find those other threads I mentioned!!! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/74385/tori-patrick-s-oot-bags-price-break-down-templates-and-lots-of-pics
  15. I hope our guests didn't buy them!!!! The few I have talked to that I shared with said they never would have thought of that so hopefully were safe!
  16. GORGEOUS!!!!! What dress is it? Looks very similar to my friends Maggie! I think we may go the same route... wish we knew a DJ! LOL
  17. Wow two leap year brides! When will you celebrate your anniversary? the 28th or the 1st?! Very cool!
  18. Wanted to share with everyone that old navy/the gap/banana republic has a pretty good sale going on right now. The linen pants from old navy are under $15 a pair!!!!!! I am going to the store (hopefully they're in stock) to check them out today before we order them. The banana republic ones come to about $32 which still isn't bad! Banana republic also has suits on sale. Just thought if anyone is still looking to get their guys linen pants (we need them for our GM) that this would be a great deal! I found linen REALLY hard to find in stores this summer!
  19. We wanted to keep them at about $15 - $20 a bag but I think we are closer to $25 a bag (don't tell FI)!
  20. I think they look great, they are very clean looking and I like the "trueness" to a true boarding pass! The sleeve was my challenge too!!! Good luck, I look forward to seeing the finished product!
  21. Now I am torn, originally I was going to do the whole right hand thing but now I want to incorporate that line to our ceremony!!! Thanks for sharing
  22. I think you can TOTALLY do a different bouquet from your bridesmaids, you are the BRIDE afterall!!!!!! I think I will be doing something similar where the girls carry a colour and I carry white! I have to ask, where are your BM dresses from? I LOVE them!!!!
  23. meant to share the link! http://oldnavy.gapcanada.ca/browse/product.do?cid=26065&vid=1&pid=814861&scid=814861003
