  1. Our la vie en rose has 1/2 aqua half regular so I am assuming they would have them too!! I don't know where the closest exclusively aqua store is....
  2. I have heard the candy coating helps protect them! If you keep them in your carry on and then put them right into your air conditioned room you may be ok! I think it would then depend on when you hand them out. Keeping them in AC as long as possible will be the best bet!
  3. OHHHHH I LOVE YOUR DRESSES!!!!! I totally remember seeing them!!!!!! FI likes hte idea of just he and I in white so I don't think I could swing that but they are soooo gorgeous!!! you'll do the coral accent on them? I LOVE the mini cakes but not sure my resort could do them!!!! I saw another bride had these and everyone was able to take them back to their rooms which makes sense because no one has room after dinner for cake! LOL
  4. Ohhhhhhh That makes everything a lot different!!!! I am assuming most of your family is probably in Georgia?!
  5. OMG I just laughed out loud!!!! I know you have told us but what is your date and location again?! We must be close in dates because Im 180 odd days off I think lol
  6. I think they are.... we will NOT be having our napkins like that lol This is just a picture I stole from another bride lol it is the basic set up which I liked. We will have our tall centrepieces and just the white linens! not so cluttered!
  7. I LOOOOVE the white wedding!!!! I have become so in love with this idea. Our colours are Navy and Green but we are letting white run through the majority of it. I think White will be more prominent than any other colour!!! - Arch will be drapped in billowing white fabric - FI light khaki suit with white shirt - All white linens with NO colour accents (so pretty and clean) - White Cake likely just floral accent or ribbon accent - White chair covers at ceremony Our Calla's will pick up the green (in the stem) and our girls will be in navy dresses with our guys in navy shirts with light linen pants. I love love love the white!!!!!! I wish I had decided earlier and I would have done JUST white lol
  8. Oh don't worry you have GOT THIS!!!!! For the kids bags, WATER GUNS!!!!!! from the dollar store!!!!! They are super cheap and will be used SOOOOO much!!!!! I would do these for the girl too so she doesn't feel left out!!!! Other option would be inespensive floats, you can pick them up ay walmart for $5 of $6!!!! Mom and Dad can blow them up but gives them something to play with in the pool!!!!! Activity books are a great idea, what about an underwater disposable camera, it may not last long but it would be fun for them in the pool or by the pool as they can't wreck it AND itll be fun for them to get developed when they get home!!! Card games like uno, go fish, old maid the old classics lol these can often be found at the dollar store too for inexpensive, they will be great on the plane, by the pool and in the rooms! Check the toy section at the dollar store and you can be a HERO for a few bucks each child!!!! Question about the bikini bags, at the first la vie en rose they were $10? Were they not on sale there.... I am going to Toronto to get these Saturday but I want to be sure they are $1!!!! I just love that!!! LOL Breathe.... Breathe again and SIGH!!!! You are getting married in FOUR WEEKS!!! Get excited!!! It will be great!!!
  9. Sorry to be taking over this thread tonight, just wanted to share a picture of our dinner spot so you can see where our Centrepieces will go And our reception spot -we wont be doing chair sashes I don't think.... how much do I love those centrepieces though.... tempting!!!!!!!!
  10. As per Coco's suggestion here is a killer pair of ivory heels with the tiffany blue sole!!! http://www.zappos.com/pour-la-victoire-bridal-and-evening-cristella-2-ivory-satin
  11. Oh I love love love the orchid look I think it'll be amazing!!! I have a few inspiration pics I can share with you if you like as I planned on doing green orchids for ours!! I wish we werent changing locations but it is a nice money saver for us so that allows our OOT bags to be better HAHA
  12. Oh the wonderful Vista Print. Ok so hear goes my experience/tips Are you using "free" stuff from an email? If so every time you add a new item you HAVE to access it through the email. For example you have an email for a FREE pen and FREE mousepad (random) - Click the link in the email for the free pen, design it and in the cart. Go back to the email click the free mousepad, design it and in the cart. If you click on things direct from the website you will NOT get the promo you are seeing in your email. FREE pens, notepads etc. are usually only 1 in quantity. So if you add more than 1 to your cart you will be charged for them. What you can do is do what most brides have done and add 1 of each single free thing you can get. For example these are all usually single free items so put this in your cart -1 tshirt, 1 tote bag, 1 note pad, 1 pen, 1 key chain, 1 hat you would then have to check it out and REORDER that entire order. You will be charged shipping on each individual order though they will likely ship it all together. This is where they get you with the FREE stuff it is FREE + shipping!!! Hope this helps, give me more info if this isn't the problem you were having!
  13. It wasn't too bad, definitely get a pair of needle nose pliers, I picked up mine in the jewelry section at michaels as they are much finer and work really well!!! I didn't have them at first and it just doesn't create the same "clean" lines as the pliers do!!!! Keep me posted if you try it out!
  14. To be perfectly honest I don't think you can. Are you doing a destination wedding? I am assuming you are because you are on this forum. I can't imagine being invited to a friends wedding to go down south and not bringing my long term partner. I am going to play devils advocate here for a second and I hope it doesn't come off mean or rude but just something to think about. How would you feel is someone invited you to their wedding, expected you to pay $1500+ to get there (for a vacation too) and not bring a date/friend/significant other. Removing the option I think just reflects poorly on you, I know I would not want to attend a wedding, pay the money to go be in a tropical climate for this romantic occasion WITHOUT my Fiance or boyfriend. Our single guests were even given a "guest" option as they may want to bring a friend or whomever. As for children same situation, I think you need to leave it up to your guests as to whether or not they bring their kids, afterall there is a significant cost associated so they may choose not to bring them. If children are a huge issue I would suggest selecting and adults only resort and eliminating all children. Another option would be to invite everyone downsouth but no children at the wedding itself. Arrange babysitting for the day/night of and explain this on your invites. We invited 200 people as well. Our guest list was out of control and we still left people out but I knew that having a DW would GREATLY reduce the number of people coming. Of those on your list are you expecting them ALL to show? Prepare yourself for the unexpected when planning a DW. Another bride said "you BFF since kindergarten may not come but your uncle joe who you haven't seen in 15 years may be the first to book". It is a VERY different process from a traditional wedding. If you have not decided on a resort I would suggest look into the different packages to see how many guests are covered and what the additional per head costs are if you are expecting such a large group! I am curious to see what you decide so please keep us posted!!!! Don't let the guest list stress you out though as sllefebvr said, after they are sent out it is the more the merrier attitude, at least thats where we are at!!! Good luck
  15. I LOVE the submerged orchids!!!! I think it is so so so beautiful!!!!!! This is what I was really torn about but I didn't think my vases were tall enough!!!!!
  16. Oh I am so glad you like them!!!! They will be on long tables with some votives or tea lights surrounding and all down the length of the table. This is a semi-private dinner in an open air restaurant. The second location is a beachside reception on the terrace. These will be round tables. I was thinking of using the bouquets for this but don't want to have to bring DOUBLE the vases..... I think I may just go for a single candle and shell scattering on the tables for this. This is the dance portion of the night so maybe I will use my mirrors there and not at dinner or something.. I also love the shells on top, thats why I first got it and think it works well! Ps you are totally not rambling you are a HUGE help!
  17. I love the idea Jenn, will likely be stealing that!!!!! I remember someone asking about the chapstick labels, pretty sure it was this thread. Dramatic Annie maybe?! Looking for shiny labels. I didn't think you could get them but was just reading someones planning thread I bookmarked and she used full sheet glossy sticker paper. You need an ink jet to print it I think but I thought I would share anyways. Here's a link to a product I googled really quick but she said she got hers at office depot! I would redo mine if they weren't already DONE... I just have to accept some things! http://www.amazon.com/Glossy-Inkjet-Photo-Sticker-Paper/dp/B000VKV2H4
  18. Plastic Vases at IKEA?! Don't tell me this... I will have to go Saturday!!
  19. That's a GREAT idea!!!!! 1/2 our group is travelling the day before unfortunately but it could work for the group that is coming with us!!!!! My in laws will be on the flight the day before with the rest of the group so I bet I could give them the ones for those people and get her to hand them out! Don't wanna stress out my MIL but thats likely impossible LOL
  20. You can buy the gemstone letters/words to stick on the bottom of ANY shoes you want!!!!!!! Choose your dream pair and have them say "Love" "I do" or whatever you want!!!!
  21. I know I have had a few requests for my templates from those of you who can't open attachments. The basic boarding pass template can be found on ayleebits.com for FREE but if you are looking for my template specifically, have requested it and haven't received it let me know. I was away for a little while and lost track of who I had and hadn't sent it to. You can design your own boarding pass using ayleebits template, use BDW for inspiration and feel so great about your very own DIY project!!!
  22. So is anyone as crazy as I am and has already started their planning thread?!! I am 6 months out tomorrow but there is SOOOOO much I want to include in my planning thread and I don't want to forget anything!!!! I have just been doing it in word so that I can be sure it is good to go in less than 185 days!!!!!!! I have a few questions thought before I pour my heart and soul into my planning thread ( I just want to share EVERYTHING) - Is it just supposed to be pictures? We all know I LOOOOOVE pictures but I also LOOOOOVE to write so I am sort of treating my planning thread as a blog post lol - People can skim through and just see pictures but there will also be lots of info - are there planning thread rules? Things I should or shouldn't include? I basically plan to include EVERYTHING as I said lol Just wondering what you guys are thinking/planning on doing or what your opinions are!!! I want to detail my DIY projects as well but am thinking I may do a separate thread just for that... thoughts?!
  23. I like the idea of the welcome cocktail thing.... I will need a luggage cart to bring it all down lol Are you sending a pre travel book/brochure?!
