Cheap Pashminas for Canadians
torilynnsmith replied to mimi73's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
What is the quality like. I checked one out the other day but they were not pashminas they were more a linen "breathable" material if that makes sense. I am looking for the warmer pashmina style.... -

Does anyone have any extra zipper name badge holders? I think I remember a bride ordering WAY too many on here so I thought I would check.... I will take some off your hands as we do not have enough of the bright coloured zipper pouches we bought at target and I am going to need something for our "overflow" guests!
-
Thanks!!! I am excited to see your planning thread! All you need is a couple threads you are truly active on conversing and you'll get there in no time!!! When you have your planning thread you will be at 150 in a flash with all the feedback and questions from everyone!!! Happy Planning

Post Groom and GM attire
torilynnsmith replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think it will be hard to find this time of year now, you can always try ebay but also I believe another bride mentioned ordering off of "studio suits" the $99 custom suit website for kids pants too! -
I am not sure if the bride is on this thread but if you check out the "frustrated, where to find mugs in canada" thread there is at least one other bride who had purchased from factory 21 and she has also posted pictures!!! I have heard nothing but great things about them, but if you don't get your answer in this thread definitely check out the other because I remember this being discussed!!!!

Post pics of your Wedding Cake!
torilynnsmith replied to EricaG's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
With only 30 days to your big day I am POSITIVE that ANY bride on these forums would be more than willing to share their templates with you instead of seeing posts like this on multiple forums! I don't feel I was being "rude" in anyway and am sorry you feel that way. This website has been an invaluable resource during my planning process and it offends me to see someone abusing it, then just to post "I made it...Finally! Now what?" on the 150th post forum. If you weren't working towards something specific why bother? Since you have been on here since last year I would expect you would have had plenty of time to reach 150 posts the right way by providing valuable insights, comments and sharing with all the other brides instead of what you have done and then to attack me in your response even though I think the way I approached the situation was very light. I know I was not the only one to feel frustrated and irritated with your many, many posts on multiple forums simply quoting people's pictures. That being said, I wish you nothing but the best in the remainder of your planning process but think it is necessary to point out such things for OTHER brides who may not understand that this is NOT what BDW is about. All the best on your big day! -
Post pics of your Wedding Cake!
torilynnsmith replied to EricaG's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
leahpeah you are killing me with the million posts in all these threads..... MULTI if you really want to comment on the pictures otherwise DONT POST! I see you have made your 150 now so I hope that stops all this but for future noobs... PLEASE contribute to these forms constructively... -
And all in one day too!!!! Please post constructively on the forums it is very frustrating to see the same comments and threads clogged up with "nice" "looks good" just so noobs can reach their 150!

Show us your wedding dress!
torilynnsmith replied to Jennifer's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
leahpeah.... I would like to introduce you to the [MULTI] button.... 28 new posts on this thread and I think all but 2 were you!!!!!! I am assuming you are trying to get to your 150 posts but the point of this thread is to share your dress not comment on EVERY dress that is posted on here!!!!! -

Post pics of your Wedding Cake!

OOOOO I would love to see some!!!! I may recruit you to do some for me (I would obviously pay you!!!) Where in Nova Scotia are you? We left halifax in October (can't believe it has almost been a year) but my best friend is there, I could always get her to pick them up from you to transport for me!!!! -
I don't have a price list for Katya unfortunately but if you send her an email she should be able to help you out. We worked with her to create our own package to suit our needs which was great!!! She is moving to Punta Cana this month and will be living on the beach. We will be doing our TTD session on her beach as we do not want to have to pay the $400 TWICE ($300 for her and $90 for Rob). If you are just looking for beach pictures I would suggest talking to her as you could get shots done just down the beach where she is OR I am sure she would know other great spots you could go!!! She is so so sweet and easy to work with, definitely shoot her an email and explain the situation I am sure she'd be happy to offer a few solutions. I have heard amazing things about photo phil both on here and on facebook but his work is just not my style so we decided to suck up the extra charge and get the pictures we wanted. Afterall they last a lifetime!

Show off your shoes....
torilynnsmith replied to twinkletoes's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Mine is more of a true mermaid style as opposed to a drop waist, very similar to the pronovias Galante but sweetheart and strapless. It is a pronovias private collection. Haven't decided on shoes just yet but am seriously considering the badgley mischkas I posted awhile back. I am still waiting for the dress to come in!!!! -
Only select items were on 2 for $1.50 - the cards I bought are part of a new collection so they weren't included but the "travel" collection which were blue stripped cards, cards with airplanes, fish etc. were on this deal so I did pick up a few of those too. The sewing kits in stock now are also part of a new collection so not included in the 2 for $1.50 (or $0.75 each) sale so unless you were lucky enough to have a location that still had the summer ones in stock (none that I have been to had) then you would be paying the same either way!

I used fabric not ribbon, though I have heard of them being done that way as well. I used satin for my hair flowers but this is a flatter look, not such a sheen! I picked it up on clearance just to play around with and it just happened to match the flip flops perfectly!

I made the shoe clip flowers and several different hair flower options as well. My mom has asked that I make her a fascinator too so I will be working on that this afternoon! I may not have posted clearly, just the flip flops are from joe fresh I made all the shoe clip flowers myself. They have TONS of different flip flops colours both mens and womens for $1.97 though!
