First I want to comment on how our page made it to the homepage of BDW thanks to luvmoos dress disaster!!! Not that that is a good thing but as you said Jenn, you have to find some positive in it. I really liked the visa/pay pal cancellation idea, you can usually get your money back through your credit card company so let us know how that goes. It is awful that any company would treat anyone that way let alone a bride planning her wedding!!! I totally forgot about Sears, I know many can only be ordered through the cataloug (prolly online now) as a friend did that for her DW 3 years ago!!!! Check out the le chateau outlet stores if you have any near you, they have TONS of dresses on for $50 and under right now and all the colours. Another option would be to order from victoria secret online! I am a fellow Majestic bride (colonial though) so we will have to share our planning!!!! 3 months and 2 weeks... yikes time is flying!

Jenn - I cannot believe those dresses! Where is that website located? They have done absolutely awful work and it in inexcusable! I would suggest sticking with a BM brand for dresses and that way each of your girls can go to a bridal store in their area, you can ensure all the colours are the same and they can get measured for size. The only problem may be with only 4 months to go it will be considered a "rush" order. We went off the rack for our BM dresses, 2 need minor alterations but they were under $100 a piece so we did save some money there.... wish I could be more help! I would continue fighting this site you've been dealing with but I know it will likely do no good. This is exactly why I am so hesitant of online shopping!

They aren't heavy but the 34oz are bulky. The tumblers are easier to pack so we are lucky the majority of our mugs are those, just the larger size for our wedding party and immediately families

Just wanted to let any of the peacock theme brides out there know that dollarama was just putting out LARGE peacock feather picks fort of today in the craft section. They would look AWESOME in centrepieces or vases!!!!

It is fun when you hear from them because like you said, we forget that to the majority of the population these ideas are quite "unique" it is just because we are on BDW that they seem like theyve been done a lot! Why not do a symbolic ceremony and do a legal canadian marriage! No one needs to know and you get the tropical wedding without all the legal run around

Congrats and welcome to the thread!!!!! We are getting married on the 4th and staying at the colonial! We were going to book Julia but she unfortunately was already booked so on her suggestion booked Katya Nova who we are really excited about using! I never paid attention to the colours I was trying on until it came time to order the dress. Luckily the shop I bought from had a similar dress to mine in white. I tried on both and HATED the white!!! I couldnt believe it as I LOVE white t-shirts etc and expected to buy a white dress but I just liked the ivory so much more. I was really tan when I tried on too (it was in the summer) and like you I tan easily. That being said, this is NOT the case for everyone and each individual person has their own preferences! There is actually a whole thread dedicated to this and some more tanned people much preferred the white while others said no they preferred ivory. Likewise very "pale" people said they found ivory was better for their skin tone while others with the same type of skin chose to go with white. I think the colour is TOTALLY dependant on personal preference and no one elses opinion in going to help you decide. You need to figure out what you are most comfortable in! Do you really HATE the white or is it just starker than you remembered? My best friend got married in July and after the fact I asked, was your dress ivory? In fact her dress was diamond white but I didn't even notice ( I was MOH lol) I think as long as it compliments you and you are comfortable in it then it will look great! What is going to look bad ona beautifully sandy beach with the crystal blue ocean and sky as your backdrop? Just got the call tonight that my dress has arrived so now to plan a trip to go get it!!!!!!!!!!

What about doing a nice poem or something like that as your program! Instead of doing traditional programs we are just going to do small tags on our fans and likely use the starfish story. Another bride shared it on a different thread and I really liked it since we have incorporated the starfish into so many elements of the wedding. Another option would be the footprints in the sand poem, it is definitely more religious so if that is not you this may not work but I really like the idea of the poem and feel it could be geared to a husband and wife even. http://www.footprints-inthe-sand.com/index.php?page=Poem/Poem.php If you don't like the idea of a poem or story why not just have your monogram or names at the top. Your bridal party (if you have one) and an outline of the ceremony (is this is what you are going with) and then a really nice thank you note to your guests. How many people do you have attending? If it is a smaller group it may be nice on the back of the programs to do a "special thank you to all the wonderful people who have travelled to be with us on our special day" and then list everyones names. It is a special shout out to all your guests and would be nice for them to read as they are waiting for everything to start! Just a few ideas!!!

anudrm - the dress is GORGEOUS!!! Going to have quite the impact. As for your google just stay away from things like YOUR & FI's names Wedding, wedding date, destiantion etc in lots of posts. We had problems because our wedding website is www.mywedding.com/mynamehisname and people typed that into google. Well any posts that had "Tori and Wedding" in them came up! OOPS why couldnt people just type the URL in the right bar!!!! I think you should be fine
