Hi Trish: So as promised lol I did use your idea for our own invitations, and I wanted to share them with you. ALthough I encountered alot of extra drama with these IE: extra printing due to size problems and a mistake on one insert lol, DIY envelopes (no body had them in a 6.5x6) more blisters than wanted due to hot glue...I absolutely love the way they turned out!!!!!

i agree, we've decided on an extended photo shoot.....i want to make sure we get every inch of the day and night, id rather pay a little more for getting everything we want.

Tori: Thank you so much, and I AM NEVER doing them again lmao! yeah I am very happy with them, but the funny thing is...is as soon as I was done them I had to post them on here for you guys to see just because you've been there throughout the whole ordeal lol lol As far as shipping them, I finished doing them ready to mail......and then found out that the canadian post office is on STRIKE! WTF lol lol just my luck is what my TA said this morning, as I was freaking out about my deposit deadline for my guests...lucky for me our TA is amazing, and is extending our deadline for me lol lol Either way, I think they will take two stamps each, as there is ALOT of hot glue and extras that have made them a little heavy lol

Alrighty..... so Im going to try and upload the final project of our invitations, so here goes nothing lmao

HDINSMOR:::::::::: hey sorry it took me so long to get back to you.....didnt notice it lol so sorry! We are going to use digital collection memories, she is based out of Jamaica and is so sweet to work with. The main reason I went with her is because she is willing to go above the normal for mike and I so for the $1000.00 were getting all the salon pics(me and the girls) im getting the guy pics(like you said drinking beer lol) im getting ceremony pics, reception pics, and pics on the beach with fam and friends... she is also gpoing to come the next day and pick mike and I up to go to the falls and do a tour of nagril. I had told her I wanted funky different pics, she said she knows of some buildings with graffiti on it (perfesional graffiti) which is so our style. She is going to be at the resort for one, as our wedding is at 4pm and she will be there until 8-9pm she is giving us all the photos she takes no matter how many, so you know Im all over that lol lol and all of her pics are proofed and on a digital cd. I think thats all, but Ive only had one cup of coffee and might have missed something. If you have any other Q's im happy to help!

Hey Doubletee: Welcome to BDW this place is so great for information and opinions....all these brides have such great ideas, and have helped me a ton already lol and congrats on your date, so exciting! The photographer we are using is actually from Jamaica, so we didnt have the worries of having to fly someone in from home( sooo expensive) and to be honest I was a little concerned with the resort photographer, due to some reviews I had read on these forms, just the lack of pics, and the overall price as well. The photographer I decided on I found on here through another bride her name is dianna and she is through www.digitalmemoriescollection.com I found her not only truly (jamacian) sweet but she is doing so much extra stuff for mike and I that I couldnt say no lol lol When I told the resort photographer that I was looking at another photographer, I must say she did give me a little grief and ended up calling me three to four times a week lol. but over all Im so happy with the choice weve made. And cant wait to meet her in person lol Pics to me were a very important thing for our wedding, and although some reviews on digital memories are that they are (staged pics) after telling her exactly what I wanted her response was the typical (NO PROBLEM) lol if you need any info or are curious on her prices, PM me and I'll let you know what she and I have come up with. So i will post pics this afternoon for you.....so so so happy with how they turned out, I was able to incorporate all of our colours into them, and found really amazing stickers for the outside of them....Hope you love them! ill keep you posted hun. Were getting married April 14 2012 in Jamaica at the grand palladium lady hamilton, I cant be happier with our choice and cant wait! lol as im sure you totally get lol Im doing all the planning ahead of time so I should be done within a month (heres wishing) lol but still have alot to do how far are you into the planning of you wedding? maybe we can throw ideas around and talk about the planning Leigh

Although she is not in Edmonton she has clients all over the place. The reason we went with her, is due to the fact that she always had what mike and I wanted first priority. Yeah I think all of the resorts have the hidden fee thing, were getting married at the GPLH next april, and already im looking at 600.00 in fees. between bringing our own photographer to the reception dinner....i just figured with all the ppl coming and all staying at their resort it would be a little better. I cant complain to much however, I love the resort and the W/C manager is such a peach and has been great to work with and the site itself is so beautiful cant wait till 2012 lol

APRIL 14 2012 GPLH future bride here! we also have picked the WAVES OF LOVE PACKAGE and doing it at the garden gazebo at 4:00 pm so so excited!!!!!!! for you brides wanting to add personal touches to your site, Ive been told today that there is no option to put your own chair swags on, I was told my the W/C manager that if you want to personalize your theme that you have to go with a different package. I was SO BUMED out, as I have already bought blue orange and turquoise swags. However, if you do a private reception you can add all your own decorations...but can not add anything to a reception in one of the alacart rest. do any of you ladies have any ideas? I am thinking of the private reception at $45 per person and have what i want for my theme, and do a DJ...this way we have 4 hours to spend dancing, eating, speeches, and pics. Oh, i was also told that we could do an hour coctail thing for $15 per person. Hopes this help ladies, as I know im feeling the stress of this lol

hey there, we are getting married april 14 2012 at the GPLH in Jamaica as far as the resort photographer goes, I havent heard many good things about them. I know I have talked to our resort photographer, and I didnt personally like her(just not friendly) I have however, found a great lady who is doing a next day photo shoot with us, and taking us on a tour of nagril and will be taking some really different and funky shots for us. As far as the fee goes, Ive talked to the lady were going to use and I have talked her down 300.00 to cover the cost. You could always try that, but no there is no way that ive found to get around vender fee. If you find anything please let me know. thank you

such great song choices! the music thing for me is driving me crazy however, i love the idea of different cds one for the waiting(seating of ppl) and one for FI and I and walk down the isle ...FI and I are having a horible time picking songs though lol so I might steel some ideas from you gals lol thanx for the help! are you ladies doing a DJ? or the ipod/cd thing?

In my opinion, I think its as hard to find a great TA, as it was to pick our destination. The TA we went through was selloffvacations....as we are originally from London ontario, now based temp in regina.....im sure they should have one in the flat lands area lol. We looked at a ton of agents, and she was the best...and has worked so hard for us plus she found us great rates for us and fam. Hope this helps you

Yeah after the 100th time of the arm and hammer ad, I looked into our blocker...and its there and running lol or so it says but arm and hammer is getting the best of me! lol

LMANGO: Im happy to read that your trying to figure out your next path. Just to help you out as well as stated above...weddings are very hard on the relationship between couples, i find that we are at each other sometimes too....me being such an OCD bride lol and him being well him lol. I find it hard sometimes however, if I wanted to marry me I would the thing I love about him the most, is that although we are very different in some ways...at the end of the day he makes me laugh and we even each other out! If at the end of the day you can say the same, then damm everyone else and concentrate on you two and what you two want and need from each other! if there is anything you need..Im always on here lol I hope at the end of the day you get your white dress on with the man of your dreams!
