I just bought these Matisse Tessa sandals at DSW for around $60 also saw them on Zappos for 95 (http://www.zappos.com/matisse-tessa-silver). They'll be my beach sandals. Still looking for a fun pair of heels. I'd love to wear heels for the ceremony (on the beach, in the sand) but figure I'll sink. Has anyone had any luck with heels or wedges in the sand? I was looking at a few shoes with a thin wedge like this one below. Wedge heel too skinny for the sand? Any suggestions?

LOL! I think in a thread called "show us your rings" no questions should be considered tacky. I'm pretty sure it's 2.3 -- I wasn't expecting that at all. It was my FH's grandmother's stone so I TOTALLY lucked out. I had originally told him that I wanted a halo setting to make my ring look bigger (had I only known that wouldn't be necessary). @aahq45 I'm not sure what makes something an eternity band. The band is pave diamonds on top and sides, does that make it eternity? Oops, I originally meant to say I HAVEN'T looked at bands yet.

Sent Save The Dates and put down the deposit this week. Paradisus Palma Real - January 12th 2012! Picking the location was overwhelming -- i'm hoping the rest will be a little less stressful. So glad to have found this site and all of you!

These are awesome!! I'm so inspired!

My FMIL wants to throw me one so i'm going to oblige. I'm marrying her only child so this is will be her only opportunity to do this. She has friends and older relatives that won't be able to make the wedding. So a shower it is! She keeps telling me that I'll get lots of gifts (i live in NYC - small apartments, i don't need STUFF!). I'm not originally from here so with the exception of local friends, all my relatives and best friends aren't here. I plan to invite a some but stress that they shouldn't feel obligated to attend. But if some of my girls do make it in to town i'm considering making it a bachelorette weekend too! It's a win/win!

I'm in Park Slope, Brooklyn and getting married @ Paradisus Palma Real, PC 1/14/12. Any suggestions on places to shop in NYC for cute rehearsal dresses, shoes etc? I need to get out there and shop while summer stuff is still in the stores. I just haven't had time. Is anyone planning a local party after the DW? I've been thinking about it but the way things are looking right now, there won't be anything left in the wedding budget to do it.

Just emailed out my Save The Dates for Paradisus Palma Real 1/14/12 and put down the deposit for the resort! That makes it official right?Ahhh! Compared to many of you, I feel so behind in the planning process.

I just put down my deposit for Jan. 14th at Paradisus Palma Real today! Somewhat relieved but now nervous. I'm really hoping that flight costs go down. My quote for a 4 day weekend was similar to vav11238, 1300-1400 range for hotel for two people. I was considering a couple other resorts that were a bit less expensive but Palma Real was the only resort FH and I could agree on. ::sigh:: I hope there are some incentives! We're going to be there for a week and will have around 50 people rolling with us.
