Some of the initial things that helped me narrow down location and resort were... -Check out flight options, times and cost from the cities your guests are flying from, that might help you make an educated decision on location. -Are kids attending? If so, that eliminates some adult only resorts. -Think about what kind of resort are you looking for -- small (intimate resort), medium or large.

Happy Thanksgiving!! We're headed to his aunt's today for a big dinner. I feel so thankful to have found such a wonderful man to spend my life with. Oh, and thankful that my dress fit last weekend (let's hope thanksgiving and Xmas doesn't change that!). Hope everyone has a great Turkey day!

I was planning to wear flat sandals for the beach ceremony and heels for the reception. I tried on my dress this weekend and the height different is just too much. The woman helping me said if I hem for the heels and wear flats for the ceremony the dress will potentially get dirty a few inches higher than the hem since it'll fold under when i walk on the beach. I'm searching for wedge flipflops or something to replace the sandals I had planned to wear. I'm so bummed! But anyway, while i search for new ceremony sandals, here are my reception heels...

Congrats!! I'm getting married there in Jan. We chose an offsite photographer - Julia Eskin (http://www.juliaeskin.com/). I love her photos - they're just pretty and framed well - no fancy filters needed. I think she's less expensive than the photographer the resort works with - Arrecif. We will have to pay for a day pass for the two photographers but it'll be worth it. I have a call with Cemone from the Miami office tomorrow to hopefully sort out the last details, including DJ and music. I'm happy to help answer any questions that I can. I can give you the full scoop after my wedding too. It's not too far away now. (ack!)
