  1. Coco's website is the one that sold me on wedding window when I was searching for a website provider! :-) She is right... there is soooo much more flexibility through wedding window. I do not regret the decision one bit! Mine is also linked in one of the earlier posts....
  2. I do remember seeing that picture. I was just hoping that wasn't luck...lol... I don't know why but I get super nervous about not knowing for sure. Also, I don't know how much flowers costs (I haven't really looked around) so when I got the quote I wasn't sure if that sounded right for what I wanted. this is the picture I sent her: And she quoted me $180. For anyone that knows about flowers, does that sound right? Also, do you think they'd be able to recreate that?
  3. HI Ladies... I was hoping that some past brides can help me with some flower advice. I sent Mayte my flower inspiration pic and she sent me back a quote. it was a lot lower than I was expecting... which should be a good thing right Well it had me thinking... How close to the original pic would my flowers look? So I'm asking if any past brides that got real flowers for their weddings at the Jellyfish if you could share with me any inspiration pics along with a pic of what your actual bouquet looked like so I can compare? Thanks!
  4. I think they would look sharp with crystals on the heel and the platform
  5. Awww thank you sooo much! This is how I did it. I ordered the flat back swarvoski crystals from dreamtime creations (http://www.dreamtimecreations.com) The sizes I got I couldn't find at the local craft store (Joannes or Michaels) I used 7ss, 9ss, 12ss, 16ss and a few 20ss. I used E600 glue and I used a wax tool (it's called a jewel setter) to pick up each crystal and place it. I also used a syringe kit to dispense the glue, but that's not necessary. It was easier for me because I didn't need to spread the glue on. I didn't use the hotfix crystals because the when using the hotfix tool it sometimes leaves gaps in between the crystals and I wanted all the crystals to be flush next to each other. I worked in tiny sections because the glue does dry fast. I would dispense a bit of glue, enought for like 5 crystals and then place the crystals and did that till I covered the whole heel.
  6. Thanks Ladies...that definitely helps ease my mind... I guess I am just hard on myself. After some sleep and reading the lovely comments I feel much better about them. Now to order more crystals for the other shoe....lol I think I used a few hundred crystals on it, I used 4 different sizes.
  7. Not sure if you all remember, the shoes I fell in love with that had a nifty price tag of $3,375... if not, here they are: Before I fell in love with these, I had already bought mine: I decided I was going to try and add "bling" to mine like the Brian Atwood beauties above. I did the first one tonight. I just spent 3 1/2 hours working on it... and I'm not convinced. I'm not sure if it's because I've been staring at it too long or what. I ran out of the small crystals to do the other shoe so I need to order more, but before I do can you please give me your HONEST opinion... How do they look now?
  8. I thought I had responded, but I don't see it posted... if it posts twice I'm sorry... Thanks so much Dominique! I wanted to give my MIBs a vintage flair and I thought the charms and twine helped do that...plus it wouldn't be glam without the crystals and pearls lol thanks again for your compliment, I appreciate it!
  9. Thanks Ladies! If you have any questions please feel free to ask I started delivering them and just put some in the mail yesterday and the people that have received them so far LOVE them
  10. I posted these in the Wedding Invited forum but feel they are more suited here since they are DIY. I am super excited that my invite project is finally complete. I got so much inspiration and ideas for this project from this site that I wanted to post them in hopes to help someone else. I First want to specifically thank Sunshine2413 and Laurabrea78 for their very detailed posts on their invites and templates. They were a HUGE source of information and ideas. I ordered the MIB supplies from www.sandartsupplies.com and I got all the paper that I used from Archivers. I made the crystal charms, tags and pretty much everything else myself There was sooo much that went into this process. I made 100 invites and spent about 3 months completing them. If you have any question feel free to ask I'll be happy to go into detail. Here is the whole set! I have 2 bottles in the picture because I did some with Fuschia crystals and some with clear crystals and wanted to picture both. Here are the detailed pictures: These are the bottles And a close up of the charms. I made the pearl and crystal charms using Swarovski elements. The palm tree charms I got on Etsy. Each bottle had a pull tag. I hand cut and rounded the corners of each tag and added an eyelet to prevent it from ripping when it was tied to the raffia. All the bottles had shells, a sand dollar, and starfish inside. I ordered the shells from sandartsupplies.com and the startfish and sand dollars from qualityshells.com This is the "message" that was rolled up and tied with raffia and put in each bottle. These were printed on Blue Parchment paper that I got from Staples and then I burned the edges of each after I printed them. THANK YOU to Sunshine2413/Laurabrea78 that shared her template with me. All the Trip and Wedding information was included in the passport. The cover was printed on metallic cardstock from Archivers. the insides were printed on a higher end white printer paper that I got from work. I used Alyee's template for these. Here is the cover and the inside pages: The RSVP cards were cut in the shape of tags. The envelopes were printed to match the same design. The bottle and passports were packaged in this box: And here are the some of the invites ready to go! I hope I was able to inspire someone else Thanks for looking!
  11. I just finished my passport invites and it did take a while to get them to line up. What program are you using for them? that might help me to give you advice. I used Adobe Illustrator for mine
  12. Thanks for the compliment! I did make the logo myself. I too had a hard time finding a palm tree. this is the .jpg I used. It's black and all I did was add a blue overlay in photoshop.
  13. I'm using wedding window and LOVE it! I checked out a lot of the free sites before I decided to pay for one and I just didn't like that it was sooo "cookie cutter" and there weren't a lot of personalization options. Wedding Window gave me so much more to work with and it's so easy to maintian. feel free to check my site out if you'd like: www.jenniferandlouie.com

  15. I had to do a Bank Transfer. That was the only way Mayte said we could put the deposit down.
  16. For real! I didn't know you originally wanted the 29th... sorry I actually originally wanted the 22nd, but it didn't work out for us... I guess a lot of people are getting married around that time.
  17. I was the same way... I ended up telling her that I wanted to send a deposit to guarantee my date BUT I had no idea (still don't) exactly what my bill with be since I haven't choosen food or anything for her to give me a quote. I didn't want to choose any of that till I knew how many people I was going to have. So I just sent her $600 and she was good with that. she sent me an email back saying she received the deposit and the date was mine. I'm getting married the weekend after you (June 29th) and I'm getting ready to send out my invites. I too didn't want to send them till I was confirmed that I had the Jellyfish so you could always do that...
  18. I'm curious too...how did your wedding turn out? Any pictures?
  19. I'm doing a TTD shoot... I'm (FI is too) actually looking forward to it just as much as the wedding. I'm going to use my real dress too!
  20. I'm doing a BD shoot. I just booked mine yesterday for April. I hope they come out great and he loves it...lol
  21. I'm really going to try to keep mine down to $15 since I think I'm going to have quite a few to make. Are you guys giving one per person or one per couple?
  22. These are great ideas! I can't wait for my BD shoot in April!
