    Does anyone know the extra cost of having the reception around the pool? My mom is pretty set on having an outdoor reception. I'm hoping for the La Brasa terrace but figure I should look into the pool price too.

    Okay, so I am WAAAY behind you both...the only things I've seen from the resort are the 3 different packages (blue affair, sand extraveganza, ocean romance). I haven't seen anything re: minister, ceremony script, decoration package, wedding extras, etc. Are both working directly with the hotel or with a travel agent? Otherwise, yes, I'm doing OOT bags (haven't bought anything yet, just looking at prices, etc), my dress, my bridesmaids dresses (scored from target.com for less than $40 each! woot!). Sooo glad to have people to chat with about all of this

    I am...although veeeery slowly. Just need to keep reminding myself to be patient! Our date is Feb 28, 2012, and we've put down a very small deposit....that's it. I've asked several times what to do next, but it's not really going anywhere. What all have you done so far? Our invites have gone out and we have 43 booked so far.

    @Laurelyn - I am at 34 right now, anticipating another 20+. But I'm nervous, too, about people waiting to book. After my first group of about 25 booked, prices shot up (and the flight choices are now less than optimal...many have 2 layovers each way, some with overnights.) When we booked, the lowest price option included a direct flight there and back. But, I have to remember it really is up to them when/if they book, and it's not top of mind for them like it is for me...I doubt they're checking the hotel+ flight combos 3 or 4 times per day!

    Ocean Blue & Sand is at the top of our list for our wedding. I've found their 2011 package prices, but haven't seen 2012 (not sure if they're available yet.) Does anyone know if there is flexibility with the packages, or what their a la carte prices look like? We're planning on 50-60 guests. And any convincing that this is a great option is appreciated, too

    Anyone know anything about prices for Feb/Mar 2012? My TA said the lowest would be $350 per night (2 people)...seems a bit high, especially when compared with the rates others are posting. Any insight/suggestions? Thanks!

    Does anyone know if brides are allowed to do their own flowers at Sandos? My mom is a florist, so it would mean a lot to her if we could find a place to purchase flowers (in town, perhaps) and just make them ourselves.
