good afternoon, girls! THIS IS IT!!! 24 hours from now, i'll be in the airport waiting to begin my vacay. i can't believe the time is here...in preparation for my wedding, my honey and i finally got around to putting together our CD wedding favor. i provided you guys with a peak at the cover and holder a few days ago so i might as well share the playlist too, right? well, here it is... At this time by Algebra Blessett The Safest Place by Sade Til the End of Time by Timothy Bloom Baby, Its U by Brian McKnight A Song for You by Donny Hathaway Whenever, Wherever, Whatever by Maxwell Is This Love by Bob Marley Lucky by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat Love is You by Chrisette Michele Beautiful Surprise by India.Arie Never Felt This Way (Butterflyz Interlude) by Alicia Keys You're All I Need to Get By by Mary J. Blige & Method Man (random, I KNOW..but my honey is a hip-hop head so this is a nod to him) Turn Your Lights Down Low by Bob Marley duet with Lauryn Hill so, girlies..that's our CD playlist..i'm hoping our guests enjoy the selections we've chosen. well, i've gotta go and wash my doggie..he's headed to a girlfriend's house while we're outta town..so i gotta get em 'so fresh and so clean'... until next time, be blessed AND happy planning!! the cover was fairly simple to make too...8 1/2 x 11 1/2 piece of card stock folded...SUPER easy... i also used an avery label to customize the CD with our paisley print..its not too difficult to adhere the Avery labels to a CD...and word has built in templates.. SUPER easy and user friendly. the CD is a mix of love songs..and reggae songs for our guests. until next time, happy planning!! R~

hello, ladies! i've got a TON of shoes and bought these on a whim...now that i'm a week away from my wedding, i thought maybe someone else can benefit from my purchase. the shoes are a size 9 1/2, off white by Max Studio. i bought them when i first started planning...i've since bought three more pairs of shoes..so these aren't going to make the cut afterall. these beauties are super comfortable and have never been worn outside of my home...i've adorned them with a beautiful I Do on the bottom..PERFECT for wedding day pics. shipper will pay shipping costs. PM me if you're interested. please keep in mind that if i don't hear from you before tuesday, you won't hear back from me for a couple of weeks as i'll be in jamaica 'jumping the broom'... woo hoo!! Beach themed centerpiece
futuremrstgun replied to MikeandMew's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
hi! i'm ALL about the beachy theme too...sans flowers because at my locale, flowers can be quite costly.. initially, i thought about doing something like this.. but then i thought, how would i get bowls like that down to jamaica so i came up with other ideas that might work and are 'luggage friendly'...including the use of shells, candles, luminaries and lanterns... good luck with your search for the perfect centerpieces!!! until next time, HAPPY PLANNING!!! Who paid for your dress
futuremrstgun replied to Lindslou's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
i paid for both of my dresses and my honey and i will pay for the wedding ourselves...its a second wedding for the both of us..so it only seems fair that we come out of our pockets since our families paid for our respective big days (to other ppl) years ago...plus, i get to pick and choose what i want..and not worry so much about whose paying for what and allowing them to have a say... good evening, ladies... so i'm in the process of completing last minute items including some DIY projects and packing, of course... in the middle of it all, i thought, hmmmmm...i haven't posted a DIY project in awhile so here's my latest...our reception boarding passes...take a peak. (hope ya'll enjoy em..) we only have 30 guests..so these babies will be at each place setting to let everyone know where they are placed...we're doing one long table so it should be fairly easy for folks to find their boarding passes...at least i hope so. tomorrow marks one week until departure..oh boy!!! well, i'm off to bed...until next time, happy planning!!!
