  1. hey ladies... here's a few sneak peak pics from our professional photographer...Marcia E. Roberts! i highly recommend her!!! my husband and i had a fabulous time with her on our wedding day and a follow-up session a few days after (due to rain, we didn't get outside pics on our big day so she graciously returned to shoot us another day)...again, i HIGHLY RECOMMEND her and her associate christopher rose!!! until next time, happy planning and remain blessed!!! R~
  2. bruceg05..i did it and loved it!!! we had an intimate, at home ceremony..just the hubster and i...and i wouldn't have changed one thing. he got his 'only us' ceremony then i got the wedding blowout here in jamaica...plus we didn't have to do the legal stuff AND we saved a few bucks by doing the 'blessing/renewal' ceremony instead of the full fledged wedding... R~
  3. hi, kimberli1211!!! chat with the WC when you get here..they'll try to work with you as much as they can...i found that when you're here..they're way more accommodating than when you're communicating from afar. silvia and luis (the GM) will work with you as much as they can to keep you happy...just have a chat with here upon arrival..and don't worry...in Jamaica..its 'no problem, mon' and at Iberostar..there aren't complaints or problems..just situations and ALL things can be worked out...after all...a happy bride is what's most important, mon!!! R~
  4. she's incredible!!! and ask to have her associate christopher rose shoot with her..you will LOVE IT!!! i highly RECOMMEND HER!!!! i can't even begin to tell you how much fun me and the 'hubster' had with them!!! R~

  14. hello, ladies... for those of you still looking for inspiration..i posted a few sneak pics of my reception table in my planning thread. while the WC didn't put everything on the table as i planned...the pics that my sister took on my iPhone are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! so i know if EVERYTHING would've been on there..i would've been even more happy..but..the table still looked pretty fab! :-) R~

  17. hi, ladies... i'm sneaking in some time to post a few pics..while there were some hiccups..missing flights..missing items and NOT having EVERYTHING on the tables as i planned..the pics my sister took on my iphone look pretty amazing...here's a peak...remember..iPhone was used..i'm super excited at what the professional pics will look like. woo hoo!!! until next time...be blessed and HAPPY PLANNING!!! R~
  18. well, ladies...i got married!!! its all now something me, my husband and our guests can reminisce about... all went very well..of course, there were a few hiccups...like, i don't have a clue where my bridal hanger is...didn't get ALL the decor the way i wanted..but still beautiful..had to move the wedding inside due to the weather AND i feel as though Marcia E. Roberts didn't have enough time to capture mine and torry's love (eventhough she's incredibly prompt, professional, patient and overwhelmingly accommodating) due to some crazy timing with having to move things inside, etc..plus, i was late walking down the aisle (again, timing, etc) but all in all, everything was great!!! i decided to just 'go with the flow' and adopt a 'no problem, mon' attitude at the last minute...our guests were happy and i'm confident that everyone had a good time. hoping to post pics, soon. stay tuned. ok, ladies, that's it from here... hope ya'll have a GREAT weekend..let the honeymoon commence in 4.3.2.1... ;-) until next time, be blessed!!! R~
  19. well, ladies... i'm sitting here in a dark computer lounge dripping with love...i'm the happiest, i've ever been..EVER..EVER!!! while there were a few hiccups...like...i don't have a clue where my bridal hanger is...didn't get pics with it or anything AND my ribbon for the cutlery was with it..so that's incognito too..i know i packed it..but can't find the damn thing for nothin so, some of the decor didn't go exactly the way i wanted..but still beautiful..had to move the wedding inside due to the weather AND i feel as though Marcia E. Roberts (our photographer) didn't have enough time to capture mine and torry's love (eventhough she's incredibly prompt, professional, patient and overwhelmingly accommodating) due to some crazy timing with having to move things inside, etc..plus, i was late walking down the aisle (again, timing, etc) but all in all, everything was great!!! i decided to just 'go with the flow' and adopt a 'no problem, mon' attitude at the last minute...our guests were happy and i'm confident that everyone had a GREAT time. i was even able to contain the 'ugly' cry during the ceremony..although, my Daddy 'almost' broke me down with words of encouragement at the beginning of our stroll down the aisle...i had to 'nip' that quickly. girls, at the age of 40...i can't tell you how much of a Daddy's little girl, I felt like yesterday evening...it was by far, one of the defining moments of my life! SAVOR that walk with your father, ladies..SAVOR EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!! it was...well...it was indescribable! hoping to post pics, soon. stay tuned for those. THANKS for the encouragement, thoughts and well wishes for my big day..it was truly amazing!!! until next time...remain blessed and HAPPY PLANNING!!! R~
  20. hey there, dominique!!! the bow...its one larger bow in silver and then i cut and tied the purple ribbon to add some contrast for the welcome tag tied on top of the silver ribbon to the front of the pkg...pretty easy and user friendly... about the paper..girls, i get soooooo many inquiries about the paper...i couldn't find the perfect printed paper so i decided..heck, i'll DIY my own paper..so, i found a beautiful paisley print online and thought, i wonder what this would look like if i printed it on my favorite bazille diamond cardstock...so..i did..and voila..i had custom paper! ladies, there are so many design options out there..google became my best friend when i was in search of a beautiful print...girls, resources are limitless when it comes to design..my motto is..if you can't find it or buy it..DIY it and/or even if you can find it, or buy it...still DIY it!!!! save that $$$$$ and get your DIY on!!! it takes ALOT of time..but i'm so happy i did it! dominique, i buy the bazille diamond cardstock in white at michaels..its also sold online in bulk..and from what i hear..can be bought from michaels in bulk too..its not cheap..so wait for a sale and a coupon to maximize your buying power. the cardstock is simply beautiful..its textured and has a beautiful shimmer to it. it also comes in other colors like cream, shades of purple, silver and pink. i highly recommend it. by the way, i printed my paisley print on both sides of the paper..i'm just real picky like that..so when folks see the paper..its paisley on both sides. its so funny how many times, i've seen someone flip the paper over and smile when they see that it's paisley on both sides. lol! btw...i picked the paisley print in an effort to bring a bit of masculinity into the stationery suite..an ode to my honey who loves paisley..and purple...a perfect combo! when you go to michaels..ask a staffer to direct you to the bazille cardstock..its loose sheets of paper...the 8 1/2 x 11 is about .49/sheet and the 12 x 12 is like .59 or .69/sheet. i primarily used the 8 1/2 x 11 but did buy a few pieces of the 12 x 12 to make my boarding pass sleeves and program covers...i cut those jokers down and voila..they were just perfect!! i believe the bazille 12 x 12 paper is on sale this week..check it out! as for the logo...in order to maintain the shape and color of the logo, i converted it into a picture which means i can now drop it into any designed piece i like..its pretty easy to do..i made the logo in powerpoint which is SUPER simple to use for designing logos, etc...heck, i used that program to design everything in my stationery suite including my boarding passes, itinerary at a glance cards, well wish cards and welcome tags, etc. i just found it easier than other programs..although, technically that's not what its made for...so, don't tell microsoft. lol! well, ladies..that's it from here... until next time, happy planning!! R~
