ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! If anyone is marrying at Iberostar Rosehall Beach, I just found out that Tameica is no longer with the hotel and they have yet to appoint a new Wedding Coordinator. In addition their email address is not working. I spoke with Elizabeth in Guest Services this morning and they are in the process of recruiting a new WC. In the meantime, forward your emails to [email protected] . As a Fall Iberostar Rosehall Beach bride, I'm concerned about the fact that Tamieca is no longer there but I'm hopeful that they'll have a new WC in place well before my October wedding date. For those of you marrying there this month or even next, I look forward to reading your reviews. Happy Wedding Planning, everyone!!! R~

i'm thrilled to be an October, 2011 Iberostar Rosehall Beach bride! now that my big day is fast approaching, i've decided to "jump the broom" and so i've asked my adult daughter to decorate a broom and haul it with her to Jamaica. (oh the things a kid will do for dear ole Mom) is anyone else "jumping the broom' at their destination wedding?? and if so, what made you decide to do it, are you using a borrowed broom and/or a new one, how are you getting your broom to your destination? oh and please post pics of your brooms too. i can't wait to hear from all of you! THANKS for sharing!! :-) R~

Windy Jamaica and a veil
futuremrstgun replied to tross84's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
at first i was TOTALLY against the thought of a veil..in fact, i bought two dresses..one short and with a birdcage veil just so i could appease my mother...that didn't work..then, the more i look at bridal pics..of both traditional (aka church) and destination brides..i'm LOVING the idea of the veil...so, now the search is on for the most beautiful cathedral length (i'm going for it - let it BLOW in the wind) veil i can find. wish me luck!!! :-) R~ -

Iberostar Rose Hall and Suites Roll Call!!!!
futuremrstgun replied to nolabride78's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hi, Shanas! I'm doing the same thing...I had the pleasure of visiting Iberostar Rosehall last year, my fiance and I stayed at the Suites property and to be frank, there's not much difference in the two resorts. The Beach property is the location for our Fall 2011 (10.8.11) wedding. We chose the Beach, because like you, I'm hopeful that the lower price point will be more attractive to our guests and those that wish to upgrade can do so on their own. I can tell you that all of the hotels are very nice and no one will be disappointed at either of them. Iberostar is a classy resort with beautiful grounds and great amenities among the three hotels. You will love it!!! CONGRATS and good luck with planning!!! R~ -

Jamaica Wedding but what resort?
futuremrstgun replied to Jamaica2012's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
I too am an Iberostar Rosehall Beach bride..my fiance and I are jumping the broom in October 2011. Like most of the other brides have already quoted, the GROUNDS are beautiful..the ROOMS are spacious, the drinks are strong and delicious plus the staff is super friendly! My fiance and I scouted out the facilities on our vacation last year and I immediately fell in love. We visit Jamaica on an annual basis and so I'm familiar with the island as well as other resorts, ie, Sandals Montego Bay, Holiday Inn SunSpree and Breezes Runaway Bay..and to be frank, the Iberostar is by far, the best resort in Montego Bay. Its the ONLY resort, I can't wait to return to. Now, I will tell you that Breezes Runaway Bay was fun and Sandals is nice, Iberostar is simply in a class of its own. You feel like you've "arrived" when you check-in..I mean, its FIRST CLASS all the way..the food is delicious with an array of choices (fresh, hot donuts RIGHT OUT OF THE OIL...at breakfast - it felt like Krispy Kreme followed me to Jamaica), the staff are incredibly hospitable and the overall experience is well worth the higher price you'll likely pay vs. RIU or any of the other resorts in Montego Bay. Iberostar includes three different properties are varied price points... 1. Iberostar Rosehall Grande - the "Ritz Carlton" of the three properties (adults only, all suites with complimentary butler service) 2. Iberostar Rosehall Suites - the "Renaissance" of the three properties (kid-friendly, beautiful grounds and incredible staff) 3. Iberostar Rosehall Beach - the "Marriott" of the three properties (kid-friendly yet beautiful) All three hotels are within the same resort compound (within a magnificent gated area - very impressive from the street) and all share the same stretch of a beautiful sandy beach. Iberostar Grande guests have complimentary access/use of ALL three hotels, while Suites guests can use the Beach and Beach guests can only access the Beach facilities with the exception of visiting the disco (which is located in the Suites) or the Spa (which is also located in the Suites). I stayed at the Iberostar Rosehall Suites resort last year and LOVED it! We're holding our wedding at the Iberostar Rosehall Beach property as I wanted to give my guests the option of choosing the most cost efficient hotel and if others wished to 'upgrade' to the Suites or the Grande they could do so and still attend the wedding at the Beach property at no charge. There are plenty of very nice hotels in Montego Bay and the upside of choosing MoBay as your wedding site is its proximity to the airport. While there's limited 'nightlife', it makes up for it in culture and proximity to the airport..afterall, you get off the plane, make your way through Customs then you're whisked off to a beautiful resort within 10-15 minutes from the airport. Its Party Time, yeah mon! Good luck with your planning!!! R~ -
Weight Loss support for 2011 brides!!
futuremrstgun replied to rus's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
@ Diamondgirl...we share the same wedding date...10.8.11! woo hoo!!! congrats!!! R~ -
I had the pleasure of visiting Iberostar Rose Hall last year for vacation and to scout out the property for our 2011 wedding...my fiance and I stayed at the Suites and visited the Beach property. (which you can do as a Suites guest...Grande guests can visit all three properties; however, Beach guests can only visit the Beach property) We're scheduled to jump the broom at the Beach property on 10.8.11. I would say the Beach property is the most economical and frankly, I went that route because I wanted to provide guests with differing price points although ALL of the Iberostar hotels are beautiful and all within the same resort compound. The Beach & Suites properties allow children while the Grande is adults only. My fiance and I are staying at the Grande this year because I just have to have the 'butler' experience plus I thought it would be best to stay there instead of moving over for our honeymoon. There are plenty of reviews on here from other brides..I highly recommend reviewing the posts. Good luck with your decisions! :-) R~
