i don't know of any 'jamaican' candy, per se..now i know they have drinks like ginger beer and red stripe but i don't know of 'candy' per se..i'm eager to hear what folks have to say on this one. i've NEVER visited a supermarket on any of my trips to jamaica...not sure if that's really 'feasible'..but maybe other brides will have an opinion..i look forward to viewing comments. R~

akamikey11....yeah, i'm going that route..i figure if i mail it out at least 4-6 weeks in advance of the travel date, i can choose the most cost-efficient means of mailing AND get everything out to folks to they can get excited about the trip AND have the OOT stuff act as an 'indicator' of what to expect from our big day! plus i tend to overpack so i can't even imagine what i'd do if i had to pack ALL of the OOT stuff along with two weeks worth of clothes AND a wedding dress AND a slew of shoes AND makeup AND...well, you get the picture. R~

meeshamillz...girl, go to the Jamaica Tourist Board website..there's a number to dial (under contact us) and order your guides...FREE...FREE...FREE! they'll arrive w/in about 7 business days via UPS..they're beautifully glossy and very informative...i'm positive they'll make a GREAT addition to anyone's OOT bags... i'll post the iberostar map later today..i have one that's very useful that i got from another bride on the iberostar thread..i also have a one page print out all about the iberostar rosehall beach property that i downloaded from the iberostar brochure available on their website that's going in our OOT bags too...you could do the same for the suites...i plan to reproduce it on glossy paper... happy planning, girlie!!! i love the idea of the passing of the starfish..i'm actually on the starfish passing schedule right now but i think it would be really cool if the iberostar brides did it for each other...heck, it would be easy..just leave the starfish with the wedding coordinator and tell them who to pass it to next..and keep the bride informed so they know to ask for the starfish upon arrival..there are brides getting married at all three properties..so the beach brides would leave their starfish with the beach WC and the suites bride with the suites WC and so on...i'd LOVE to see that happen. maybe someone will take this on... R~

celticgirl..you're right..mine were delivered via UPS... sllefebvr..i asked for 25 initially..they only sent 10..so i called back and ordered 15 more..i'm waiting on that delivery which i'm hoping will be here by friday..they didn't balk at the idea of sending 25 to me..but, for whatever reason, they didn't send 25 to begin with...not sure if the 'message' got tangled up down the line...but i'm expecting the other 15, any day now. my fiance LOVES the guides too..and he was thrilled to know we got em for FREE... R~

wow! your dress is beautiful..but i do know how it feels to 'wonder' if its THE DRESS..i bought a dress then reconsidered it because i didn't think it had the WOW factor...since it was a short dress, i went out and bought ANOTHER dress with the WOW factor...and i haven't stopped thinking about either dress...i'll be wearing the short dress for our 'legal ceremony' and the WOW factor dress down the aisle..with four months to go..if you go somewhere like David's or even a reputable bridal atelier..they may be able to 'rush' a dress for you should you decide on purchasing another dress...but..i have to say, your dress is perfect! and you look beautiful!!! whatever your decision...i'm sure you'll look like a million $$$ on your BIG DAY!!! R~

LOVE your broom, meeshamillz!!! my daughter will decorate and haul our broom down to jamaica with her...i'm loving ALL of the designs i've seen online and so, i've given her some tips and tidbits that i hope she'll incorporate into our broom...i can't wait!!! i'm not sure if i'll do either one but...i'll have a garter...mine will likely be a sports themed garter since my fiance is a maniacal Baltimore Ravens fan..i kinda like the idea of giving the bouquet to the 'wife' of the oldest couple in attendance..or maybe a grandmother of the couple, etc...since it is destination..i think 'anything goes'... R~
