i don't know about the whole bringing your own booze out to the bonfire but i will tell you this..if you tip, i suspect they'll stick around..PLUS..the bar isn't that far from the beach..so if you chose to do the bonfire for an hour and then wanted to finish the party at the bar..i'm sure that would be acceptable and fun! might also save you from being eaten alive by mosquitos. just my thoughts. happy planning!!! jamaicasukie, i'm an iberostar beach bride and i can't tell you enough how i didn't see any real difference between each property...i had a scouting visit last fall. its best to keep an open mind..if you end up at the beach your day will be just as beautiful...also, the beach property tends to be more cost efficient for traveling guests. there were a few brides who booked the suites then hopped over to the beach because of price AND the beach property has a very nice beach site for your wedding..if you choose to have the ceremony beachside. its also closest to the beach gazebo..if you're having a small ceremony, it'll fit between 12-15 guests. i'm sure it'll all work out for the best! until next time, happy planning!!! i know alot of people are using very high end photogs like marcia, saab, etc....and i too wanted to go that route..but with all of the other wedding expenses i'm incurring at iberostar, i just couldn't stomach shelling out over $1k for a photographer. luckily, i found a very cost efficient, young, new photographer whose pictures are really nice and his rates are outrageously reasonable. now, i suspect i'll need to give him some direction but other Jamaica brides that i spoke to on FB said the experience with him was great. his name is roan robinson and his info is noted below. look him up on FB and he'll be more than happy to provide additional information..just let him know Ms. Davis recommended him to you... good luck and happy planning!! hello, brides! today's wedding project was....bridesmaids dresses..despite the fact that i'm not having traditional bridesmaids, per se..instead my daughters and my sister are standing up for me...i don't like the idea of bridesmaids so i thought it would be best if i just had my family stand in for support...so, i've been looking high and low for a dress that was cute yet practical and something that could be worn again and something that wouldn't look too formal. i ordered the dress in black...here's the link to the actual dress.. http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod3690056&categoryId=cat720018 the best part about this is..it was $14.99...woo hoo! i'll be wearing the white one to our rehearsal dinner! I LOVE A NICE BARGAIN!!! until next time, happy planing!!!

hi, torilynn...the vellum will be purchased from michaels..believe it or not the samples was done on regular ole copy paper..even though it looks decent, i'm purchasing nice vellum for the tables. i used the same stripes that appear on my pre-travel boarding passes and just printed them at home...i'm pretty sure i'll be using my at home canon printer to print my entire stationery suite. i'm glad you like the font on the reserved signs...uhm, the font is one that i downloaded from dafont.com..not sure which one right now..but i'll PM it to you when i get back on my laptop...i wanted something a little different for those. glad you like the table..i'm pretty excited about incorporating my love of Scrabble into it..now i just have to go and purchase a few more games so i can raid them for the game pieces...lol! until next time, happy planning!!! samantha..i had no luck downloading any of martha's stuff...besides the files are in adobe so i just used her version as inspiration for mine..i used the same stripes that appear on my pre-travel boarding passes as the stripes and printed them...it was pretty easy... i plan to make more in varied heights...also some for round votives and if i can figure out how to do it..then some square..i guess with the square i'd have to fold them. i'm thrilled with the simplicity of it and cost efficiency..who knew a table could look nice minus flowers...i'm pretty excited! woo hoo!!! Centerpieces for long table
futuremrstgun replied to Evgal's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
mekanabr, i really like the idea of incorporatng photos...very nice job..can't wait to see pics... i've opted out of flowers on our tables. since my theme is starfish and shells i'm incorporating sea shells and starfish along with luminaires down our table... here's a sneak-peak at the tablescape mock-up. -
i was wondering the same thing..after reading this..this sounds like a really great way to incorporate family into the ceremony..hmmm...i might need to seriously reconsider the sand ceremony... we're a blended family...as this is mine and my honey's second wedding so, it would be really cool to have different color sand for the blending of the lives and those of our children...wow! great ideas!! thanks for sharing!!!
