I searched the site before I posted this and I only found a couple of threads on this...but last night I found http://us.moo.com/ they sell business cards, labels, stickers etc....all of them are super cute. Right now you can order 50 business cards for shipping of like $5.50. I think I'm gonna use the mini cards to make gift tags for different items in my OOT bag- 100 is $19.99 and you can choose packs with different designs, design your own, or just make word ones!! I've seen alot of pictures taken at ojos indigenas...A nature reserve in punta cana...natural lagoons and lots of beautiful pics....google it and take a look, something a bit different than the beach

It started with $500 a month from both of us into a shared account - now it turned into that and any extra checks we get (mileage, gifts, taxes...etc) and any money we have left over for the month - gets transferred into that account as well - I will tell you that it has added up quickly I also get raises twice a year so each time I got one I upped my amount going into the account - It's tough but will be worth it in the end!!

I've been going back and forth about this forever - I have my hair and make up trial coming up soon so I need to narrow it down - I've heard from a lot of people that I look like Cameron Diaz so it dawned on me one day to go for a look that she wears - and I found one I love before my thoughts were... let me know what you think!!

Cristina contacted me this week and told me that I would be assigned a specific wedding coordinator at the end of March since the date is approaching quickly - everything in terms of pictures that I have sent her would be saved in my file. I also asked her how much it would be for table flowers and vases with floating candles - tropical flowers would be $100 and the vases with candles are going to be $75 - I thought about purchasing the candles and vases here and taking them down - but I don't know - we only have 14 guests coming down. I think I am going to take down my own table runners, I asked to have long tables instead of the round ones. I want to do the wedding on the beach - our friends will be reading the ceremony since it is symbolic - the reception is at the relaxation pool - but she said everything is confirmed once you get down there. Even thought the tiffany chairs are $15 each - I am thinking that is the route I am going to go - the chairs that come with the package are the white covered chairs - my colors are going to be ivory, sangria/raspberry, and lime - so I think the white wouldn't work. If you look at the NOW Resort threads there is some really great info on there since they both managed by AM Resorts and have the same wedding coordinators.

I don't know what the resort uses - we are using Katya Nova and they are charging $150 fee for a day pass - she will bring her soon to be husband so that will end up being $300 for 2 day passes.

If you are willing to share what did the resorts end up charging you for our centerpieces? And how intricate were they?

How is everyone's planning going so far?

What is everyone else doing for dinner - sit down at resort, dinner at a restaurant, buffet....?!?! I am trying to decide what is best - I do have some picky eaters in the guests coming down (there are only 14 of us). I keep going back and forth as to what I want to do.

Just an fyi if you do decide to bring an outside photographer...there is usually a visitor pass fee upwards of $150...we are using Katya Nova and are super excited!

Exactly I chose an outside photographer because I am more into a photojournalistic style picture...and pictures were super important to me... I'm usuallynot like that...lol! If you email Cristina hopefully she can send you the photographer!

Dp you have your date confirmed with them?

Yes we have been emailing back and forth for a couple months now...just be patient...i know its hard...i believe there is only one coordinator per resort for all of the weddings. If you don't hear back with in a week or so...simply forward your message again and be understanding of how busy they are. She was really appreciative when I forwared something and expresses that. Like I said i know its tough when it comes to YOUR wedding!

5/11/12 we will be getting married there

We are getting married there on May 11, 2012 @ 5 pm....i think we are going to do the ceremony on the beach (my thought is i didnt fly all the way down there not to get married on the beach) I went back and forth a while between the beach and the rooftop. For the dinner again went back and forth as to what we want to do and i think we will do it poolside. Since it is a symbolic ceremony we are going to have our maid of honor and best man do the ceremony!
