  1. Wow, crazy how soon it really is! Feels like just yesterday we were at the year mark, lol! As far as DIY, I've been Doing SOOOO many projects(some little, some big) ALL inspired by this forum to save a penny here and there. The list is kinda long so bare with me(lol) i DIYed our logos(ttok forever beacuse i am horrible with computers), message in bottle STDs, passport invites, luggage tags, in the process of working on brochures, all of our OOT bag labels(wedding week survival kit, First Aid kits, playing card labels, welcome folder and letters, Do not disturb signs, etc.), centerpieces, cake toppers, ribbons on ceremony fans, my hair flower, etc. My next project is painting Mr and Mrs on our parasol for photos, menus, finishing place cards, ceremony programs, etc. As you canxee, I love to DIY-it's my favorite part! What kind of projects are you working on? Im sure there are sooo many more personalized, penny saver projects that I lefty out! I want to hear how all of yal''s are going ladies. I dont have templates- never learned how to save anything to word where it could be edited if that makes any sense . Couldnt figure it out, but i'd be happy to copy / paste text, post pics of what i have, etc. if anyone needs ideas. Cant wait to hear from all of you December brides. We're getting sooooooo close!!! Happy planning ladies!
  2. BIG Congratulations! You did a fabulous job . . . everything looked prefect!!! Where did your husband's suit come from? Love it!
  3. You're so welcome! And atta' girl! Trust me, It'll all come together in the end. Enjoy the planning-or lack of it(lol), and keep us updated!
  4. Beautiful! What are the hanging things behind your huppah? So simple and elegant! And where did you get them from if you dont mind me asking? Was going to make some floayitng orchids on string but was scared of the wind. Did you have an issue with yours?
  5. Sounds stressful, but just keep in mind that this is the luxury of having a destination wedding . . .no real timelines. Luckily, you have reserved your date already and sent out your invites, which are the two most important tasks in destination wedding planning if you ask me so good job there!! Everything after that you are kinda just allowed to go with the flow on! I would prioritize with either "fix'ering up" your dress or finding a new dress at this point, and kinda just go from there! Our wedding party still doesnt have their outfits even picked out, but I'm in no real rush, lol. Just remember to have fun with it!!
  6. We ordered the one Color Collapsible Wedding Can Coolers from Totally Promotional. I asked to get ours in half yellow koozies and half pink koozies in white writing, and this did not cost extra. I was able to change and move things around. Quality is great, would totally recommend! koozie proof.pdf
  7. You were such a gorgeous bride, and your wedding looked fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
  8. I recieved my koozies that I ordered from them a week ago. Would totally recommend . . .great quality!!!
  9. Yay, congratulations on becoming a Mrs, and everything turning out so well!!! Cant wait to see you photos and hear about your special day!
  10. Thank you soooo much for your reply, I appreciate it so much! I am emailing them as i type!
  11. Hey ladies! Im looking at scheduling a deep sea fishing trip for the guys while we are down there, and although i have heard some people discuss it before, i cant seem to find where information was posted about this. Does anyone know any good companies to go through for this or catamaran tours? Thank in advance for your help!
  12. "I find it interesting you have to practically beg somebody to charge your credit card" Ditto! Haha, i know, right? Again, same situation, and I completely agree. She never officially confirmed my date either, but I guess being that she sent the authorization form, that was supposed to be my cue. I, like you, just wanted that peace of mind of knowing for sure that it was "my date" so I could start on STDs. Not sure if you have done it already, but I would go ahead and knock out two birds with one stone . . . confirm your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception time/areas when you confirm your date to speed up the process and ensure your location/times of choice. Ooh, and a quick tip . .. when you finally get charged, my receipt only displayed the price in pesos which looks like the US dollar sign. Long story short, i flipped my sh*t(lol) when i saw $6392 on the receipt as opposed to $500, figure I had gotten charged several times because they asked for my card three seperate times, called and eventually realized that it was indeed in pesos. Good luck!
  13. Congratulations on your big day, and thanks for sharing such a detailed and helpful review! So glad your wedding was everything and more you hoped for. . . it sounded amazing! Makes us future brides that much more excited about our big day when we get this kind of reassurance from past brides!
  14. Sounds familiar. We, too, had such a tough time getting a response back after sending or credit card info to reserve our date. In fact, it ultimately took us resending it three times and a lapse of over a month's time before we called and it had finally gone through. Apparently it takes a while to run the card, and its another department that does this-thats what they told us atleast. My only advice is to try to patient- i know its sooo hard- but if she has okayed your date it should be set in stone! They are crazy busy from what ive gathered on this website and just veryyyy slow to get back to "future" brides. Good luck!
  15. So awesome to hear. Congratulations!!! Can't wait to read your review and see your pictures!
  16. Question for past brides. On the day of the wedding, where and how much earlier do guests meet prior to the wedding ceremony? Im working on brochures and clueless as to how this works. Thanks so much in advance for anyone's assistance!
