  1. Jlarruda posted this website above and if you click the links at the bottom of that website, you can get those free promotions! I'm still getting a lot of weekly free promotional emails, but I'm waiting to get another $10 coupon so I can upgrade stuff (I got this email about a month ago, but I'm not getting this specific coupon anymore). http://vistaprint-goddess.weebly.com/sample-email.html
  2. Sllefebvr: Check out the Silver Birds Steel Ochestra. On their website, you can listen to their sample music. We can't afford a steel band, but our photographer recommended them. Good luck! http://www.silverbirdsentertainment.com/fr_silverbirds.cfm
  3. The upload fee should only be one time fee. After that, you can use the same uploaded image for free as many times as you want...states so on the VistaPrint website!
  4. Wow, this is really cool and would really help reduce the number of shoes! Have you already ordered...are they comfortable and durable? Thanks!
  5. Don't give up yet, Gin Bootles. Where in Jamaica do you want to have your wedding and what is your price range? In Negril, you can check out Grand Pineapple Resort and Beaches Negril (both are Sandals resort), but Grand Pineapple is cheaper. Or, you can try Riu Negril and Riu Palace Tropical Bay, but Riu Negril is cheaper. In Montego Bay, there is the Holiday Inn. All of these resorts all inclusive and kid friendly. Do you have a travel agent? Jamaica has many family all-inclusive resorts.
  6. R~ You're such an inspiration and multi-talented! Everytime my fiance asks why we're doing any DIY projects (really, I have very few), I just show him your threads to show him how untalented I AM and how few DIY stuff I'M doing! I love the pic of the 2 starfish hold hands on the beach. Where did you get this photo? I'd really love to use it for a DIY. Thanks! Originally Posted by futuremrstgun good afternoon, fellow BDW.com brides...as promised this planning post is dedicated to gift goodies...i've put together goodie bags for my sister and my son. my sister is a mother of three (all of her kids are under the age of 4) so she has little time for herself so i thought i'd put together a goodie bag dedicated to spa treatments that she can do at home. i've included a pedicure set, cosmetics and some perfume samples all placed in an oversized reusable shopping bag ($1 deal from Marshalls). here's a peak at her loot. i included some invisible bra straps as the dress i've chosen for her and my daughters to wear is strapless and she's concerned about going braless..so i hope the invisible straps will allow her to feel secure in a bra. as you can see, the pedi spa items are purple...to keep with my purple colorscheme. woo hoo! here's a peak at the items up close. so moving on to my son. his goodie box is incomplete as i've decided to include some travel accessories that i found at marshalls a few weeks ago like a passport cover, travel pillow and the like....i've gone back and forth about whether to include the travel accessories as i'm finding it incredibly hard to buy for a 21 year old man but i believe he'll feel left out if i don't get him some goodies so i'm hopeful that the travel items will help fill up his goodie box. here's what i've included in his goodie box thus far. well, brides, that's it for today's planning post..enjoy! as always, happy planning!!! R~ ps...oops, i wanted to include some more DND signs that i whipped up for a fellow BDW bride...i won't be providing the paisley DND signs template but i can provide these for anyone interested. its a powerpoint template which can be revised as you see fit. just let me know if you'd like these and i'll send them your way.
  7. In addition to Etsy.com, you can check out these websites. Good luck! http://www.allurementsbyrebecca.com/ http://www.sproulliedesigns.com/index2.php#/home/ http://signaturebysarahdesigns.blogspot.com/ http://www.ayleebits.com/templates.htm
  8. I love this shell bouquet, Sllefebvr! Are you making this, or where can you buy this? I'm wondering if it's heavy to carry though.
  9. Thanks Sllefebvr...those tags do look very durable! I really like the ribbon idea instead of plastic loops...much cheaper but very pretty. I will definitely do those ribbons
  10. I just ordered 250 free business cards from VistaPrint for luggage tags (still can't believe it was free and such nice quality)! I'm looking for clear, durable plastic (or vinyl) luggage tags with loops. Could you suggest any online stores that sell them in cheap bulk? I searched on Amazon.com, but I'm not sure about the quality. Thanks so much!
  11. When the hotel staff places the bracelets on you and your guests upon check-in, ask them to make sure the bracelets are loose enough so that you can slip them on and off. They shouldn't object to that. I think if you're careful, you won't lose it that easily!
  12. Stacey wrote to me that she's not strict on time, so I do believe her and she's been wonderful corresponding by email. Maybe you can just write her and ask to write to confirm that she won't be watching the clock? Did you book her 5-Hour Eternal Package, and split 4 hours for your wedding day and 1 hour for the TTD?
  13. Hi CanadianGirl! Does the Tourist Board provide luggage tags...what do they look like?
  14. I don't think guests are expecting OOT bags. It's a nice gesture, but not expected. Most of our guests haven't been to our destination location, so we're going to give them local treats like candies, baked goods and beer. We don't want to deal with the hassle of transporting the OOT contents. So, we'll bring our own beach bags (which easily fold in our luggage) and our hotel will purchase the local treats for us -- which we'll assemble when we get there.
  15. Here are some additional websites that sell Jamaican snacks, candies, seasoning, etc. Also, Amazon.com and Ebay.com sells them too! http://www.jamaicathings.com/ http://www.stmarymarket.com/index.html
  16. I think Tai Flora tends to be more expensive and I personally wouldn't want to pay that much for centerpieces. Have you contacted Jan's Flowers or Floral Fantasy? http://jansflowersjamaica.com/ http://www.floralfantasiesjamaica.com/
  17. Thank you for sharing, Lisa! May I ask who you used for your DJ? Also, we're thinking of booking a private catamaran cruise...what company did you hire and can you share the cost per person?
  18. Hi Sllefebvr, Yes, the wood carver said the small wood carvings would be $10 to $25 per carving. The carver was willing to charge us $10, but we'll have over 50 guests so this isn't within our budget :-( I have photographs of the sample carvings. I can email to you and put you in contact with the carver if you like....just PM me.
  19. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your marriage, Tillybean! My fiance and I are thinking of jumping in the ocean after our wedding ceremony. I'm a bit worried that we won't have enough time to clean up and change before the reception...how much time did you give yourself without leaving your guests alone too long?
  20. Congrats Bonnie...you looked gorgeous in your wedding dress. Your comment about other people's kids made me laugh I loved the paper airplane STD...how original!
  21. You can get similar ones (in different sizes) at the Ailanakai website...click on "Lauhala Tote Bags". http://www.ailanakai.com/
  22. Congrats on choosing a resort! Hope you get confirmation soon :-) Your cartoon pic is really cute.
  23. OMG...this article cracked me up! Thanks for sharing
  24. Congrats! May I ask how many hours you booked with Stacey on your wedding day? We'll probably have about the same number of guests, and uncertain how many hours we need. We're also looking at TTD the next day...how many hours does that include? If you'd be willing to share how much she charges, I'd really appreciate (feel free to PM if that's better). Thanks so much!
  25. I haven't come across any current BDW brides who are having weddings at these 2 resorts. Have you checked out TripAdvisor.com reviews, plus their Travel Forums on Montego Bay and Ocho Rios? Both Secrets and Jewel have a lot of reviews on that site (I know because I had researched both extensively for my recent Jamaica trip!), and you'll find some TripAdvisor travelers who had weddings or honeymoons there. Good luck!
