  1. I'm also very frugal too...this is a helpful thread! I need to check out VistaPrint.
  2. I think a destination wedding (or any wedding) can be whatever you want. My fiance and I decided not to have any attendants, including no maid of honor and no best man. We told our family and friends that we just want them to enjoy the wedding/vacation and not have to worry about the responsibilities and stress of being in a wedding party. They were relieved because none of them have been to a destination wedding.
  3. Rhodes Hall Plantation, near Negril, has horse stables and is known for its horseback riding actitivies...see link below. For the TTD, you should also ask your photographer (if you've selected one)...they usually know good places to go. http://www.rhodesresort.com/negril-what-to-do.html
  4. Really cute invites...great work! Don't do more work (you've done enough)...just send an email about the website.
  5. This is a great website...very helpful templates! Thank you.
  6. Misha sent me her list of photo packages and rates...it's attached here. Misha Earle Photography.doc
  7. $250 for TTD sounds like a really good deal, but we don't want to pay for travel costs!
  8. We're thinking of hiring Stacey Clarke for a Trash The Dress session. Has anyone used her just for this and how much did she charged you (if you don't mind sharing)? Thank you!
  9. Congrats QueenDiva! So happy that you had an amazing wedding! Looking forward to your review.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, ladies. My fiance and I decided to go ahead with a TTD session. I don't plan to spend that much on a wedding dress, so if it can be saved that'll be great. But if it's trashed, well I'll still keep it and all the stains!
  11. This is a very helpful thread...thanks for everyone's advice and feedback. Now, we have many decisions to think about!
  12. We'll probably have a quick, simple legal ceremony at home prior to our destination wedding, which will be symbolic. We're not telling anyone as we're only doing the legal part to avoid the future hassle of dealing with legal documents from another country. We did have somewhat of a dilemma about which date to celebrate as our anniversary and we decided the symbolic ceremony is the important one.
  13. I like this one the best...simple and sweet When I was just a little girl, About the size of you, I dreamed one day I'd fall in love And then get married, too. So now that I am all grown up, About to be a bride, I want you for my flower girl To be right by my side. For it is common knowledge that A wedding's not complete, Without a pretty flower girl Like you, who's dear and sweet. Will you be my flowergirl?
  14. I love Vaseline...thank you for the tips!
  15. Still not there yet...ugh. It better be worth it
  16. I don't stare at my engagement ring, but I keep on rotating it around my finger. I guess it's a bit loose, even after I got resized it.
  17. Thank you...I'll have to check out weddingchannel.com. I previously looked into it for a wedding website, but didn't notice the daily deals.
  18. I'm almost at 100 posts...I don't know if I can post that much. There are some members who have thousands and thousands of posts...wow!
