Let's help each other. The most difficult part of starting will be the most difficult part throughout WW...tracking. My strategy is the eat well Sunday-Friday @ lunchtime, then I can eat pretty much anything for dinner Friday and all day Saturday. Please let me know if you would like a WW buddy.

You can get all of your details in the contract in time. Let's definitely keep in touch throughout the process since there are so few Cancun Palace brides here. Have a great night.

It's due in 2 days...so I hope this all gets accomplished by then! I will let you know how it goes. Let me know if you have anymore questions! Have a good evening

I'm obsessed with these too! No, I have not ordered them yet. I'm waiting until I order my dress in September. I think removing the ankle strap should be easy. If you do remove the strap, I would love to know how they turn out.

Sorry, the picture did not post the first time.

Canadiangirl, I love that you're wearing green shoes; so am I! I'm also wearing Nina shoes, but I think I will wear these:

Thanks you two for talking me off the ledge. All of this is kind of scary this far out.

Hi All! I am a WW Online member and need help staying on the wagon. I'm currently a unemployed, so I have had more time to go to the gym, and have lost weight. However, I need help sticking with the rules of the plan. Can anyone help me be more accountable and vice versa?

Hi All! I was wondering if there are any Chicago-area brides planning 2012 celebrations?

Thanks for being so welcoming! I think I've confused myself regarding the promotion. We have signed a group agreement with our TA and the promotion is explicitly stated in the contract and our guests are starting to pay the room deposits. Does this mean that they are suddenly ineligible for the promotion if they do not pay the remaining balance in full by 10.31.11?
-
Our TA has taken some of the weight and pressure off us. Since we are having the destination wedding, we wanted to make everything easier for all of our guests. Working with the travel agent has allowed them to make payments on their travel packages on their terms, negotiated the group contract to ensure that we get everything that we want as promised, and is just making life easier. My FI and I constantly discussed whether or not we needed one, but since our STDs went out two weeks ago; the TA has already proven to be beyond helpful.
Hope this helps! Happy Planning!

Coconoir: Congratulations on finding the dress, Soror!!! That is amazing! Like you, I am ordering my dress in a few months...I'm trying to lose the last few pound before I order. Best of luck on the rest of your planning!

Hi Ladies! Would you mind if I crash your thread? I'm getting married April 28, 2012 at the Cancun Palace and there is very little information out there, but tons on the Moon Palace. Your experiences have been/are tremendously helpful!!!
On a sidenote: I'm concerned about the promotion as well. Has anyone else signed a group agreement with a TA?

Thank you all so much for the advice! It has been getting stressful, but I'm trying to remember how fun it will be. Everytime I watch a wedding show, I get so excited! I wish you all the best of luck with your weddings and upcoming marriages.
Jennifer: When is your wedding??

Thanks Jennifer for the advice!
We have selected purple and green for our colors, and I'm finding that matching the exact shades has been quite difficult. May I ask how many dance lessons you and your FI are taking? We are only listing the registry information on our wedding website, did you register for small items? I keep waffling on doing multiple registries.

Here’s a few things I’ve learned from wedding planning so far:
- Wedding colors are tricky. I picked hard-to-find colors (coral and teal) and it seems everything comes in more basic colors like light blue, royal blue, navy, purple, pink, orange, green. Just a thought to consider when choosing colors.
- Dance lessons!!! This has been the MOST fun of preparing to get married. Expensive…but SO worth it!
- It IS possible to get an amazing but less expensive dress. Keep searching.
- There is a reason people go with traditional bridesmaid dresses…they are easy to match with the rest of the bridal party. I went with just regular gowns from Nordstrom’s and had to find out the hard way NOTHING comes in that color (coral!!!)
- DO NOT write anything about your registry on Save the Dates or Invitations….TACKY! I thought this was a given (this advice is in every wedding book ever written…), but I’m finding tons of people are making this mistake and it just rubs guests the wrong way.

This is great advice! Thanks!

Hi all!
I just introduced my four bridesmaids to each other via email on Sunday (6/12). My MOHs are college friends and sorority sisters and the other two are hometown friends that I have known from middle school and high school. The girls live in two different cities and will probably not meet each other face to face until the wedding (next year). Yesterday one bridesmaid, HS friend, sent an email detailing her experiencing trying on the bridesmaids dresses to the girls and she was apparently slightly abrasive. According to my MOH, this bridesmaid was shooting down all of her ideas and being rude. It seems like my friend from HS is trying to prove that she "knows me better" and blah blah blah.
What should I do to avoid the ego trip and competition that I feel is coming between them?
