  1. Kisha, yes plenty of towels and wash cloths. They actually check on your room like 3 times a day, NO KIDDING....they clean the room, then stock the room in the afternoon and then have turn down service where they give you fresh towels as needed. Craziness!! Lol so you will be fine with washcloths )
  2. Amber, first of all....thank you I'm glad my review might be helpful! As for your family, listen to me....we invited people that said the same thing....the people that matter and love you the most will do anything in their power to be sure they are there (unless they seriously can't afford it and they will send you emails and texts the day of the wedding )) definitely any comment like that IS jealousy. To be honest I struggled with that with my own mother. Sad as it is. And the reason I slept in the same room as my fiancé (now hubby) the night before the wedding is because my mom and I got in a fight the night before the wedding. You can't change the way people are, but DO not let them ruin your moment and YOUR DAY. The great thing about a destination wedding is that it's all about YOU and YOUR SOON TO BE HUSBAND....everyone else is there to witness.....remember that You will Love Beaches, and anyone that can't afford it that stays at Club Med will still be able to enjoy your day. From what we saw, Club Med is not as updated and nice as Beaches at all, we picked up a couple from Club Med when we went horseback riding, they literally had to manually open the front gate at security there and when we went on a cruise it was very plain looking when we rode by on the boat....I didn't see inside the resort though.....oh and it's only about a 5 minute taxi ride away from Beaches. All will be fine )) trust me!!!!! Any questions let me know!!!!! Good luck honey!!!!

  4. Ladies we are BACK!!! I am going to write a whole review for all of you, and please feel free to ask any questions, but all I have to say is DO NOT WORRY ABOUT A THING! Everything about our day was AMAZING AND PERFECT! The wedding coordinators at Beaches are more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and your guests are happy. We had Comaneci (pronounced Comanesh) and Patricia was constantly floating around us helping out as well. Two amazing women! One thing both my husband and I decided, a week is long enough to be there....we went for 11 days and were ready to come home. Turks is GORGEOUS and the weather was perfect, but we think a week would have been sufficient for our trip. I'll post my review up and the link soon. Here's a sneak peak of pics...
  5. Not sure where you are located but I got mine at the Dollar Tree and they were design your own. $1/each!! Can't beat that!!
  6. You're gonna be there the same time we are!! We leave on the 26th! I am SOOOO flipping excited!!! At this time next week I'll already be there!! YAYYY!! It would be awesome if we ended up running into you there. FYI...my name is Jess and my fiancé is Ryan...so if you run into a Jess and Ryan from Pennsylvania that's us!!! )
  7. We added the iPod dock and it's $150/hr! But we decided to just do the 1 hr private cocktail reception and rented the iPod dock for that period of time. We'll do photos after the cocktail reception and then meet up at one of the restaurants. The reason we did that is because Roxi was telling us we had to choose 1 thing for each course for the private dinner. There is NO WAY we could do this to our guests. So I think one of the restaurants is our best bet. A week from today I'll be in Turks already!!! Woohoo!!!!! )
  8. Wow! That is really fast! Well have fun making them and I'll keep an eye out for pics of them )
  9. Thanks!!! ) Your day is fast approaching too! What day do you arrive at Beaches? We are leaving the 26th.
  10. Thanks! I saw one like it on another wedding blog and had a graphic designer friend of mine design it quick and then ordered the stamp through stampchamp.com. I used it for the tags and also on the bag topper. I might use it for one other thing too. Def worth the money.
  11. I forgot to mention that in the first aid kits are ibuprofen, pepto bismol tablets, band aids and gauze. I also included in the wedding weekend survival kit: hand sanitizer from bath and body works, shout wipes, aloe, and Propel Zero that is specifically to revive, replenish and hydrate ) The mugs are DIY mugs from the Dollar Tree Let me know if you have any questions!!
  12. THANKS!! I just googled first aid heart and selected images and it was there! If you need it let me know and I can always email to you.
  13. well girls, my OOT bags are complete! 9 days away from leaving...I just want to be there already!!! Here's a link to my OOT bags http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/79629/beachbrides-oot-bags-with-pics
  14. So happy these are finished! Lots of ideas borrowed from fellow brides on here, THANK YOU! I really hope that my guests like these! I ordered the bags from Oriental Trading Company and they are in an assortment of colors, but I only took a pic of the yellow one.
  15. Ladies that have been married already...I need your HELP My fiance has now decided (14 days before our wedding day) that he wants to add the 2 hour private dinner to our wedding day. We were planning on just doing the 30 min cocktail reception and then a dinner at one of the restaurants but he's had a change of heart. My question is...we didn't book this yet and Roxi is out of the office until Tuesday. Do you know if this is something that I can add at the resort with the onsite coordinator or do I need to book before? Also for anyone that had the dinner, did you also do the cocktail reception? I hear the hor dourves are better at the cocktail reception. Or do they do they kind of combine it when you do the private dinner? And last thing...we don't want to pay for the calypso band or DJ...can we rent an Ipod dock and play music that way? any ideas on pricing for that?? Thank you so much for any help ladies!!!!! My day is too close for this kind of stress!!!
