  1. I saw this post a while ago and I didn't realize that I should have gotten a move on this!!! I hope I didn't miss out!? I think I will ask my TA to call them, hopefully she is successful. Either way I could wait a while since we're not getting married until April of 2012. What do you girls think, call now or wait? Thanks though for the heads up on this awesome find! Hope more of is are able to receive them!? Jenni
  2. What you are thinking of doing is exactly what I was thinking of doing. It seems so much more cost effective!
  3. Thanks for the info about the private reception ladies. Glad to hear the WC is being more responsive, hope it continues. How are you reaching her? Is this the email y ou are using? [email protected] ? Thanks
  4. That does help. I was hoping that it wouldn't be so expensive though! Ugh! I'll prolly just go w/ the semi-private since that's included. Thank you
  5. Question, I'm getting married at the Beach and in our wedding agreement, it says that if there are more than 40ppl that the hotel can provide a private reception for an extra cost. Does anyone know how much the extra cost is and where it would be provided? I thought we would just be fine with the semi-private for free option but if we get 40ppl it would be nice to have an area to ourselves :-) Thanks ladies! Happy planning
  6. I'm wanting my personal attendant to do my makeup, so thanks for all the great tips ladies! :-)
  7. I picked my resort 1st because we didn't have any special day in mind and where we had our wedding was more importatn to us. We have booked the wedding at the resort and now working on booking our travel and our guests travel. If you have a special day in mind though you should work around that. Good Luck!
  8. Like Mango Pineapple smoothie from McDonalds? My co-worker is obsessed and I just tried one.....ok but not the BEST thing I have ever tasted :-)
  9. Hi ladies, so I need some advise. Pictures and a video are pretty important to me. With that being said I'm trying to keep my budget as low as possible. I have an aunt and good friend of mine who will be going to the wedding and they both have said that they will take lots of pics for me. My question is should I just have them take pics and hire someone to do the video or should I hire out both? I was wanting to keep the pics and video budget under $1000, is this even possible? And does anyone know how Digipix works their packages? Thanks for any advise in advance!
  10. Girls like you are my savior. I am not an experienced DIY person. I look forward to reading and trying your ideas. I love the brochures, those look like an awesome idea! Thank you soooo much for taking your time and sharing your ideas!
  11. Its easy to get addicted to this site with so many great ppl and ideas. Its crazy to see how many posts some of you addicts have!
  12. Yes it is such a tough decision! I was in the same boat as you and I asked basically the same question on here! Many people will give you advise and it is all helpful. People recommended the iberostar Rose Hall beach in Jamaica and that's where I am having mine. I had a very similar want list as you, so maybe you could look into that resort. So far I am very happy with my decision! Good luck!
  13. Congrats and enjoy being engaged! Time flys when you start planning! :-)
  14. Wow! Great thread! You have so many beautiful things made! I can't wait to see pics from your actual wedding! You seem very organized and prepared! Love the pics, thanks for sharing! Look forward to even more.... :-)
  15. I second that request! Can you private message me or post on here the $/days/nights and their contact. Thanks!
  16. Sooo excited for you! Hope you have the time of your life and we'll be hoping for sunny weather for you, your future husband and guests, have a great time! Can't wait to hear all about it!!!
  17. Thank you sooooo much for posting this! You guys who are now wives who are still helping us brides out are sooo awesome and I am so grateful to you all!!!!
  18. Well I guess if that's how he's always been....its prolly how its always going to be unfortunately. That would drive me insane, but sounds like you are a much better woman than me :-) Oh I have an idea!! Have babies and then as soon as they can walk/move train them to clean.... lol!!! :-)
  19. If money were no object I would pay for all of my guests to go on a wonderful and memorable excursion together. And create more ever lasting memories together. I wouldn't offer to pay for all guests' way because then people who are not that close to me would want to go for the free trip. And the main reason I am having a destination wedding is so that only my most important people in my life come. I get nervous infront of large crowds and I want the wedding to be small and intimate.
  20. yes, is she paid for all of it. Would you ever have a threesome?
  21. Wow! Those are a lot of confessions. I had a similar situation w/ a friend of mine. We are no longer friends now; more like enemies, but I am just fine with that because she was a downer! She hardly ever added to my enjoyment in life and was not a good friend. If I could go back and end the friendship over again......I would have completely ignored her and just let it die out. My fiance has told me several times that sometimes talking about things just make it worse and he was right. I tried telling her that I needed time and that just made her mad at me. Anyways, to the point, I don't think there is anything wrong with not being friends with her anymore. Friends are supposed to add to your life, be nice to you, and not make you feel bad about what you do with your time. You are at a completely different place than her and you are happy. She should be happy for you and appreciate the time that you two do have, when you have it. About the cleaning situation: I'm kinda like that too. What I try to do and sometimes fail miserably at, is to clean as we go. So if I'm headed upstairs I look around to see if there is anything that I can bring that belongs up there and not downstairs. Also have you talked to your husband about how you feel about the house not being clean? Maybe if he knows how stressed out it makes you he may make an extra effort to helpout or atleast clean up after himself....? Good Luck! :-)
  22. Haha! LOL! I have the same issue but I think it something to do with the naughty stuff I did when I was a teenager!
  23. Yeah that's a hard one! Do you have any mutual friends that could just casually chat with her about it and find out the dish? Good Luck!
