For those of you who had a legal ceremony done there, how long did it take for you to get your translated copy of the marriage license sent to you? I was married on February 23rd and still haven't gotten it. I know they say it can take up to 60 days, but I'm starting to get nervous cause that's only 2 more weeks away and i'm dying to start getting things changed over to my new name. How long did it take for others to get it? Am i overreacting or should I contact the WC?

Hey Ladies! So as far as once down there in Mexico. I assume we have to take all of our decor for the ceremony & reception to the appointment with the on site coordinator. Then after the ceremony & reception will the staff then pack up all of the decor and everything for you? or will I be standing around packing up my stuff before heading out to the bars? Just curious as I have not been told any of this yet and was kind of curious. Hopefully I will not have to do it myself. Please let me know if you can! Thanks!

Those of you who have done this before...were you given all of your guests room numbers once you arrived? I have a list of guests, arrival & departure dates, and room numbers in a booklet for each guest to have and just wondered if you can get this info when you check in. Also did any of you request a specific room or section ahead of time, or just took your chances that they'll give you a fantastic room once you got to the resort?

I am exactly where you're at right now! I just had by Shower and Bachelorette party this past weekend. You're doing better than me...I gained 4 lbs with all the drinking! HAHA. With everything going on and stressing the next few weeks that will easily come off for both of us, no worries! Hope at least had a great time at your bachelorette, cause that makes it worth it! Love the sunglasses and necklaces! I keep checking the weather forecast too...everyday, there's a countdown and a weather check! Good luck with the next few weeks! Almost there!

I'm sort of confused...I was given the set-up fee of $5/pp included on my final spreadsheet to be paid ahead of time as opposed to on site and in cash. If I end up having more or less then what was quoted, will I either owe some in cash then or receive a credit if charged too much? This may be a question for the WC, but if you could shed some light that would be helpful! Thanks so much

For those of you who did the ipod wedding music...when did the WC take your ipod? We're going to try and use an ipod and have backup music on my iphone, but I don't want my iphone taken from the date we have our meeting with the WC to our wedding date. I can't NOT have my phone with me! HAHA. Also...using my iphone I have the "myweddingdj" app downloaded, but am unable to figure out if that can be used on an ipod. If anyone knows please help! Thanks so much ladies!

Show off your shoes....
Jnadair replied to twinkletoes's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My colors are palm beach coral and blue, so they should be perfect. I'm only wearing them for the reception though, since I will be barefoot in the sand for the ceremony. I'm pretty tall so I had to go with flats so I wouldn't be taller than my FI. I can't wait to wear them and they were even on sale at Steve Madden! -

So I'm probably just getting paranoid, but EXACTLY what paperwork do I need to have for a legal ceremony? I've read different things on different sites. Neither one of us as been previously married before and both live in PA. I submitted forms to Val last year, but I'm not sure if there's anything else I need to provide? Do I need anything Apostled? So confused. Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing about people being hungry during an informal cocktail hour as I do not want to have to pay for a private one. I was sort of thinking about letting people know to grab a snack at one of the quick restaurants or order room service for a late lunch a couple of hours before the ceremony, that way they won't be starving by the time the reception rolls around. (Our ceremony is at 4pm so I figure if people eat around 2 they should be ok until the reception at 6.) I definitely understand about not wanting to pay for a formal cocktail hour that the B & G aren't going to be able to enjoy anyway...and it IS an all inclusive...let the guests take advantage of that!
