  3. are the holders still available? and the coils?
  4. Chandlyn and Donnalee should have given you a copy of the marriage registration certificate immediately after wedding(what you sign at wedding). This is what they send off to register your marriage in Jamaica. You can use that to show proof for stuff like insurance, etc. But nothing government related like your social or license. You will get your official marriage certificate/license 2 months after wedding which can be used for those things.
  5. Personally I think the reason why this is so big of an issue is because of the bartender (there is a minimum). Donnalee AND Chandlyn were MIA as soon as we left dinner and headed over to the gazebo so I don't know how she would be tracking how many people you will have at your gazebo because they aren't counting. I was actually very upset with that because when we got to the gazebo, there were NO chairs and I couldn't find her to let her know I needed them. We didn't do the bartender, my hubby made friends with the bartenders there (tipped them) to mix up 2 gallons of rum punch and 2 gallons of another alcoholic drink. The groomsmen went to pick it up prior to us walking over to the gazebo. I asked Chandlyn to have ice and cups setup for us(which it was). She never asked me how many people (but maybe because I had 51 guests in attendence at the wedding, she assumed they were all coming)...which wasn't the case. By that time, most people were tired, so we lost a lot of people at that time.
  6. I got them from an Ebay buyer...and was able to negotiate the price. They turned out really nice. Here's the info: http://stores.ebay.com/Oasis-Promotional-Products Seller: Cupman19 I got 50 of the 22oz stadium cups (purple transluc.) with our logo in orange
  7. Just to let everyone know...it's not the dressing on the salads that is the issue. It's the actual lettuce that has a very bitter taste. It's not just at Gran Bahia, but in a few places throughout Jamaica. Gran Bahia is was very bitter but when we went to Negril and Montego bay, the salads still had the funny taste but it wasn't as bad. I am guessing because its is a 3rd world country, pestisides and stuff like is used differently than in US or maybe they import their lettuce from somewhere else. Anywho...dressing won't help ;-(. We had the caprese salad and it was basically lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It was still bad. The standard cake is 2 layers.
  8. Hi, I also had a legal/religious ceremony and took my copies down just in case. My bank notorizes for free as long as you have an account so it wasn't a biggy. When I thought they were lost when our luggage was misplaced, Chandlyn mentioned not to worry, but she would have to let the minister know. I showed it to her when we finally retrieved everything.

  10. I didn't do the spa or free hair trial there...but I did do one in the US prior to leaving for Jamaica and the stylist chose to take the hair do down once we took enough pictures for it to be replicated. You don't want your soon to be hubby seeing your hair do before the big day. Chandlyn and Donnalee are supposed to setup the dinner tables, BUT my guests and bridesmaids end up having to help them because people were outside waiting and they were not ready. I think our dinner started maybe 30 minutes late. We rented the gazebo for dancing and to do the bouquet and garter toss after dinner and NO there wasn't any chairs. This may be something you can ask Chandlyn or Donnalee. They were MIA after dinner so we never got the chance. I didn't give either a financial tip, only a gift.
  11. The copies of the certificate will work for certain situations (it helped us add each other to our health insurances with our employers) but it is not the official documentation with the seal that is needed by SSA. The airport/customs didn't even know we were married so no questions were brought up there. I think if you changed your name on your boarding pass and it didn't match your passport is when you will get hit with the questions.

  13. Yes girlie...I was told we should have received this immediately after wedding.
  14. The guys just got beer from the rooms or the neighboring bars. We paid for NO liquor while at the resort. We brought our own Moscato for toasts and dinner. That's about it. We tipped one of the bartenders we made friends with to make 2 gallons of rum punch and this other vodka based drink for our reception at gazebo.
  15. I took notarized copies of the birth certificate, not the originals.
  16. I just got our marriage certificate 2 weeks ago, so yes it will take just about 2 months. Come to find out AFTER we left Jamaica, gran Bahia is supposed to give you a copy of the marriage certificate (not license) but the signed documents that is sent to the courthouse for the license. After asking chandlyn about it, they forgot to give to me and sent 1 month after wedding. I was able to be added to insurance, change name on bank acct and small stuff like that.
