Hi Jessica- we are booked for Sept 2, 2011 and had similiar concerns. I wanted to make sure we didn't ask too much of our wedding party since they were already spending so much money to join us for the wedding. Instead of doing rentals, that would cost $150-200 plus the inconveinance of pick up and returns, we picked out khaki pants from Banana republic. we also looked at GAP and JCREW, but Banana Republic had relaxed fit khakis for our more generously cut groomsmen. My fiancee also picked out a white button down from kohl's and sent everyone the item numbers. The men's outfits cost less than $80 and they look great. To pull the whole thing together, we took care of their belts and leather flipflops as their gifts. My finacee's suit is a grainy tan, does not match exactly to the groomsmen and he will be wearing a tie. the contrast looks nice. We are getting married in 3 weeks and made this selection last week. Thanks for the support. We have gone through the wave of emotions of feeling mislead. But all in all, we will take our pictures before the ceremony and instead of having a plated or buffet dinner, we are having appetizer stations at the reception plus cake and dessert trays. I figure with the heat and drinking, who wants a full dinner anyway. On our programs we are suggesting that family have dinner together since it is such a late ceremony time 6:30 p.m. We won't be able to join them but at least we won't be stressed about starving guests

My WC (Sandra) informed me that the only place for the rehearsal is the buffet, even though we will not be using our "free" dinner since our ceremony time is late in the day and it doesn't allow for a dinner and reception....which wasn't explained to me at the time of booking. I was upset by this since our wedding fees seem to include this in the $1750

Majestic Elegance uses tropical Pictures...they seem very pricing and do not offer a whole lot. when are you getting married. we are scheduled fro 9/2/11 at ME

I am not getting a whole lot of success working with my WC. Every time I ask a question regarding prices and options I get the same info sheets sent tome. Does email not work and I have to suck it up and make in international call? Thanks- Leanne

Anna- We are in the same boat. we are booked for Sept 2nd and have had a lot of trouble getting straight answers regarding reception ideas. I thought I would have the private reception with a buffet, but now I see that a free dinner option at a restaurant is available and a private party for a fraction of the cost. If you find any information, will you please forward it to me? Thanks- Leanne
