  1. Yes, apparently the $1500 includes the wooden canopy with fabric, 2 floral arrangements for at the front, pomanders for along the sides of the aisle, plus the boardwalk. Still expensive... but at least it includes more than just a slab of wood I guess. *sigh*
  2. AlanaLM - Thank you so much for posting the link to that photo gallery. I am hoping to use the exact same locations for my wedding, so it was great to see how it all actually looked on the big day! It's too bad that the walkway only goes part-way down the fountain. Kinda takes away from the wow factor a little bit, huh?
  3. I can't believe the wooden walkway costs $1500??? I don't see why the resort wouldn't just buy one, and charge like $100 to anyone who wants to use it.
  4. So happy for you Splenda! Congratulations Looking forward to reading your full review. Enjoy your honeymoon!
  5. Wow, that's definitely stressful! You should try contacting Juana, the online Concierge. She seems pretty responsive to people via Facebook, so perhaps she can put you in touch with Claribel or get you some answers! Here's the direct link to her page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002698416619 Hope it all works out for you
  6. I totally agree with you about the restaurant menus... so much better! We really hoped that would be an option, instead of the pre-set wedding menus. It's probably easier on the restaurant staff as well, since they wouldn't need to bring in any additional ingredients to suit the other menu. Good to know
  7. That's so exciting Splenda. I wish my wedding was sooner... we're still a year away at this point! Do you mind me asking which restaurant you chose? Are they closing it to the other hotel guests, or have you just reserved a section for your group? I'm curious how much it would cost to do that, and whether or not you use the regular restaurant menu or if you use one of the wedding buffet/plated dinner menus? P.S. The cigar roller is such a cool idea!
  8. Oh that would be awesome, Splenda!! Congrats on your upcoming wedding date. You must be getting pretty excited. How many guests do you have travelling with you?
  9. Yay! So happy to connect with other Now Larimar brides! We are doing the fountain site as well! It is such a unique setting. I saw some photos of it all decorated on Facebook, through the "Concierge NowLarimar" page. I'll post a few here. I haven't personally been in touch with Caribel or any of the co-ordinators, but one of our good friend's is a wedding planner and is heading that stuff up for us, as she's done several destination weddings with Dreams/Secrets/Now in the past. She did some site tours of the Now Larimar, along with Dreams Punta Cana, Dreams La Romana, and Secrets Palm Beach back in September and came back with lots of information and photos which really helped us make a final decision. I totally know what you mean Alana, LM... I was so apprehensive about choosing a resort! It's such a big decision, but I feel really confident about Now Larimar
  10. Yes! Just confirmed for November 2012! Can't wait What ceremony/reception locations have you ladies chosen?
  11. Does anyone know how many people the wedding gazebo site can accomodate? Is there a maximum?
