I just ordered by photo book from blacks.ca. At least I know they are a reputable company, I just didn't feel comfortable talking the chance with an online business . They are having a sale on photo books until February 10th,and I'm sure they have the layflat option. My photo book came to about $30 for a 5x7 hardcover book with 27 pages. I just used their online tool to create the book, which seemed to have another of options and was pretty easy to use. I didn't pay shipping because I'm picking it up from the store. I figure if there are any issues with the book once received I can at, east take it back to the store, talk with a real person, and show them my problem. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hello ladies, I love the look of bouquet jewelry, and I've decided to have one single starfish in my bouquet. I cannot decide if I'd like a natural starfish or a jeweled starfish. Here are pictures of each, can you help me? My colors are fuchsia and orange with maybe a hint of lime green and I plan on doing natural starfish as boutonniers for the guys (see below but in white) http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/183534/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/183532/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/183533/width/350/height/700[/img]

RIU Palace Punta Cana 2013
philanab replied to Keys's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
My FI and I did a site visit that past March and I managed to sneek a peek at a few weddings from afar when I was there. The resort minister does not speak english so will perform the ceremony and the WC stands beside him and translates. I personally, would prefer to have someone else but don't have any other options unfortunately. -

The travel agent I'm working with currently is from the Sarnia area, he has booked vacations for me in the past. Prices are rediculous right now and i'm really staring to feel the heat to book because I have now < 5 months until my wedding. Most of our guests are from Michigan, Sarnia and London, with the exception of a handful of people from the GTA, so it makes sense for us to depart from Detroit again. If you have guests from all over Ontario you may be better off contacting RIU directly to see if you can get a group rate on a block of rooms, and then have each guest book thier own flight or book flights through a TA.

Hi Dina, we had a group of 12 stay at the ClubHotel Riu Tequila (Myan Riviera) back in Feb 2011 (where my FI purposed). I think we used 'Apple Vacations' and flew out of Detroit because it was just as close as Toronto but cheaper. If you want to fly out of Canada, I believe it is 'Signature vacations' that does most of the Riu Resorts. The resort we stayed at was not directly on the beach, it was about a 5-8 minute walk, i would suggest staying at one of the sister RIU resort that are located directly on the beach, i'm sorry, i don't remember the names of them. The nice thing about Riu though, is that you can eat at, use the pools, beaches and bars of any of the neighbouring sister resorts! If you have any questions let me know, I'll do my best to help

DIY Wedding Dress Hanger Tutorial
philanab replied to philanab's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I just made all of mine titles; I found capital letters to be the hardest to figure out how to make, so once I got 'Bridesmaid' down, I figured I'd just stick with it. Besides, it's such an honor to be part of someone's wedding; to have a keepsake of the role you played in that important day for your friend would be so special, I'm sure it would get just as much use as one with her first name! My fiance did help me pull out the original dowels that were nailed into my hangers (I needed his muscle power), but I did the drilling myself. I'm the kind of girl that feels like 'if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself', hence making my own hangers rather than buying them I also stuck my wire ends directly into the (horizontally) drilled holes, however I did see many made with the 'L' bend on Etsy. The bend does give you a little more room between the top of your lettering and the underside of your hanger if you find your lettring looks a little smushed in there. I just liked the cleaner look of the straight wire. You're welcome! I had so much fun making my hangers and making this tutorial. I'm so happy to see lots of views and that alot of ladies have been using it to making thier own. I love seeing the variations and all the little personal touches everyone is adding. -

Making my own veil
philanab replied to philanab's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Next I took a long piece of scrap tulle and wrapped it around the top of my comb, one way, then back and tied the 2 ends. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165602/width/200/height/400[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165603/width/200/height/400[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165604/width/200/height/400[/img] I'll trimmed off the excess ends and extra tulle then hand sewed the veil onto the back of the comb. I cut off the extra hanging threads and flipped the veil over the top of the comb, then tried it on! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165605/width/200/height/400[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165606/width/200/height/400[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/165607/width/200/height/400[/img] -
