Have you looked on David's Bridal? They have some nice ones. The other thing you could do is get a nice piece of white ribbon that goes with you dress and order a handmade flower from etsy that goes with the frilliness(not a real word) of your dress. My dress came with a ribbon sash and i wanted to dress it up so I found a nice flower on Etsy with some bling. Hope that helps.

Hi Taegan, I know from being to Mexico in March that it is crazy with spring break. One thing to keep in mind though for February is that it is usually reading week or spring break for University and College students so the Playa del Carmen-Tulum region could be busy. The cost is cheaper for January and February then it is in March, or April due to school breaks, which is why we are getting married in January, I am a teacher. I hope that helps. I do know that the weather is more consistent from January to April. Good luck with your decision making! A-M

Allie, Keep checking on Beyond the rack, they had them on there last week. At least you still have time. I only have 38 days! At least I have my shoes:)

Krysta, I put a post to you earlier but it somehow didn't get posted. I too have teal as one of my colors. My sister thought it was crazy too to get teal shoes..oh well. I have included a couple links although Tori found some nice shoes. I got my teal shoes two weeks ago on Amazon. See below, they are Ivanka Trump. Amazon has quite a selection, thanks to someone on here that suggested I check out there. Paris Hilton also has two nice pairs of teal shoes. Beyond the rack has daily sales as you may know and there is one going on right now with two or three pairs of teal shoes! Good luck! http://www.amazon.com/Ivanka-Trump-Womens-Sumi-Sandal/dp/B005034IIM They often go on sale... http://www.myshoes.com/paris-hilton/suarey/teal http://myshoes.com/paris-hilton/charmed/teal http://myshoes.com/paris-hilton/kara/teal/pumps

AD2012, Check out our photographer, Derek. He is the owner of Photos in Cancun, advertised on this site. His work is really nice, he gets back to you right away. He is actually originally from Toronto. You get him and Lorena(another photographer) for the price you would normally pay for 2. Read some of his reviews. We are getting the 1000$ package for four hours. I will also post our photos as soon as we have them in January. Good Luck!

Are most of your guests from Ottawa or flying out with you? I have decided despite wanting to surprising them at our destination, that I can`t afford to give up that luggage space for the oot bags...need room for more shoes!!lol...joking...maybe We are handing ours all out here a day or two before we fly out, except for our long distance guests. You have a lot more guests so I would estimate your oot bag contents alone would be close to 15lbs at least? If you are flying with ACV they do allow one 50lb bag. Although that doesn`t take you far by the time you add your outfits, toiletries n shoes. If you really want to take them with you, you might as well pay the extra 20$ for another bag and put the oot bag stuff in there. Hope my thoughts help. 68 guests, wow! That is a lot of aloe gel, cups etc!!

J and G, If you think you need a different dress, check for sample sales in your area. I felt the same way about my first dress and got y second dress for 200$ at a sample sale at a well known bridal shop here. I only need to get a few sequins tightened and may dry clean it. For your flowers, have you tried blossom bridal in Toronto? You may be close to the deadline but she is great to work with. I should be getting my proof photos right away. You and I both only have 44 days, so take a deep breath...I am calm now but will likely need you to help me calm down in a few weeks;) We are trying to get our ATR settled right now, pre travel packages out then the ATR invitations out. Not to mention a registry organized. One thing at a time and you will get it all done. Hang in there!

Hi Shelly, I bought some clear bags at dollarama for the smaller stuff and then I got Glad bags at dollarama that come with tags...that way you don't have writing on them . I made my labels on Vistaprint using the post cards. One Canadian bride posted her bags probably about a month or so ago and I liked them so much, I made mine like hers. If you search for Oot bag labels or oot bag threads, you should find some photos and ideas. I made my own labels for my pashiminas using blank labels from Staples. I used the wording that another bride used. Check pashimina tag threads or for other types of tag threads. I hope this helps!

Beautiful flower! I think is from the same seller on Etsy as mine! I just took mine out today to look at with my wedding dress. I got mine with a pin back to wear on my sash but now I am debating about wearing in my hair instead. I made my own hair fastener but these flowers are so pretty! uote: Originally Posted by Krysta lee ann Well ladies i finally found a hair flower for my wedding!!

The advertisement came up when I selected the shoes but I don't think I qualified as the shoes were originally 150$ but were on sale for 99.90$ and I clicked a few times before I paid...So maybe because they were already on sale and just under 100$ before tax, I didn't get it. Oh well...with shipping and the duty tax they were 132.00. Still not bad. I think they are shoes that I will definitely wear again. Can I ask you MJKH, if I need to exchange the size, how do you go about it? I must have been tired last night after looking at too many shoes but couldn't seem to find their return/exchange policy. I do know Amazon is usually pretty good with books. Thanks!

Hi Cynlee, I see you live in Edmonton and are looking for starfish and turquoise fabric. I am getting married before you and I have starfish. I have some smaller white sugar starfish (I may hang on to a few for home decor) and I also painted the larger ones with glitter paint, some are turquoise/teal and others are red. I was planning on selling them after our reception at the beginning of March. I have 15 teal chair sashes and 3 table runners. They are a nice teal/turquoise. I was going to buy turquoise/teal organza or tulle to decorate the canopy on the beach, but it was still going to be pricey. Then I remembered I had more chair sashes then I needed so we are going to use 4 or 5 to decorate the canopy. They are each 2.5metres long, and are satin.I can send you a photo if you would like. If you are interested we could maybe arrange something ahead of time. Take a look at the photo and send me a PM if you are interested.

Hi Ladies, Thank you for your suggestions for places to look for shoes! I never would have thought of looking on Amazon! I did look on other sites like Sears and the Bay to see if I could get the same shoes here, but no luck. So I have to pay a bit for shipping, hope they fit! Here is a photo of them, or one. They are Ivanka Trump...doesn't matter to me...a nice teal..And I thought I could wear them with other things.

Okay Canadian Brides, I know this isn't a shoe thread, but I would like your help or suggestions for shoes. I have been SEARCHING on the net for the perfect teal/turquoise shoes. I have nicer sandals for the ceremony but after seeing so many brides on her with nice colored shoes under their white dresses, I decided I need to have teal ones. My groom will be wearing his kilt(mainly teal/turquoise) . The thing is, I don't want to spend more then 130ish... I would prefer getting them in Canada. Have any of you ordered shoes online? How did they fit? Maybe a Canadian Bride can recommend a store you may have seen colored shoes at? I really don't want to dye them. My one option I have looked at is a seller on Etsy who will design your shoes with the height of heel, your choice of color and bling. Anyhow, you ladies always have great feedback. Thanks!

Janet, I just watched your video. Beautiful! It looks like you had an incredible wedding day and holiday! At least you didn't come home to snow! I look forward to seeing your photos!

I agree Jamie! You don't want to take a chance for your photos, does that mean your cousin isn't coming? Could you ask her to do your AHR photos or maybe reception photos? You could then maybe give her some cash..It is always tricky when it is family. We were worried about our resort photographer so we are going with a husband and wife team and are excited! Since you and I are getting married the same day, I am sure I would go crazy if I had something go wrong with our photographer. Happy planning!...How many days do we have left? I think we are under fifty now, right? Yikes! Lots to do!!

Hi Avens, How are you adjusting to life here in Edmonton? I have never heard of wedding socials but sure wish we had them here in Alberta, they sound like fun!!

Busy Bee, Do you mind if I ask you how you designed your passport brochure? I am in the midst of doing ours but frustrated...can't figure out how to set it up and what to include. Would you mind posting some photos of yours? It may help spark my creativity. We need to get ours ready to send by next week. I thought of doing brochures or post cards with Vistaprint but don't think we have time...need to send some overseas. Thanks!

Thank you Avens! Although I have looked on Etsy, it can be like an ocean. It depends which key words you put in. Some of your links I really like their jewelry and I haven't come across them. I will let you know when I finally find what I am looking for!

Kya, I would also love to see your jewelry. I am having a really hard time finding jewelry I love...for me and my two bridesmaids. I want jewelry with swarovski crystals. Did you order it online or buy it locally? If you or any other Canadian brides ordered their jewelry online, could you share your info with me? I am looking for a simple swarovski necklace, clear for me that is a bit thicker then one strand of beads. I want to get my bridesmaids earrings and a bracelet with similar cyrstals but in clear and red/burgundy. I have spent countless hours looking on etsy and have maybe two shops that may have something I like...some a crazy expensive though. Good luck with the rest of your planning. Time is going by so quickly!!! Thanks

Tori, I feel your pain in different ways...my computer was ready to die as I needed to order a new battery so my FI who is an IT guy kept getting me to back things up every day. I just got lots of packages in the mail tonight...got excited like Christmas! I got my chair sashes and table runners, my flower with bling for my wedding sash, and a big box of stuff from VistaPrint! The sad package I got yesterday was from Haute Look, I bought two dresses that I think I would love on me...tried on and put right back in the package. They were not nice.... Hang in there...weddings can make people go crazy. I have a best friend and sister and I clearly told them when we set the date that I wanted to have two bridesmaids so that I didn't have to choose a maid of honor. Then we sent out an email earlier this week inviting my family to our tiny civil ceremony, mainly out of courtesy as my brother and his fiance and my brother in law and nephews can't make it to Mexico. It took me sending another email to get any responses, then I got a couple emails saying , Yeah, I think we can make it....REALLY!..grrrr...My mom passed away four years ago so this makes it even harder. My father got remarried this summer and is M.I.A....and dropped the bomb last month that he can't help us with our wedding til February. My sister got her husband to tell me she was upset I chose my best friend to be my witness........Stop the insanity. So although I am sure you are ready to elope...which believe me yesterday we were ready to say, see ya later we got married already...lol... Hang in there, it is Your day for the 2 of You.

Torilynn and other brides who may be looking for real touch flowers, I put in my order with Bloom Bridals that is in Toronto. I know a lot of brides have tried getting shipment dates from other vendors like Angel's Accents and they are completely booked until next March! My shipment date from Toronto is Dec. 10th with 3-4 business days for delivery. I will post a photo once I get my proof. Judy has been great to deal with, responds quickly to emails and her work looks great! Just thought I would share.
