Hi Ladies, So I thought I would post my final photos of my flowers. I was inspired by J and G's flowers with the starfish, I decided to add one to mine! Thanks. She made the BM bouquets 7 inches wide instead of 6 inches so I am happy with them!

Show us your wedding dress!

Shellbell, Your dress and photos are gorgeous! The wind helped make your photos perfect! What a find for your dress! Was it a bridesmaid dress? -
My bouquet is 10" wide and theirs are 6". I really like the orchids. I am thinking of just asking her to add a few more orchids. Yes their dresses are a red/burgundy. I want my bouquet to stand out which is why I didn't want to add any red.

Hi Ladies, This is my approval photo for my real touch flowers and I LOVE my bouquet. But I am thinking my BM bouquets may be missing something or should be a bit larger.... Thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ladies, So I just got my approval pictures of my flowers and I LOVE my bouquet! However, I am thinking my BM bouquets are missing something or are maybe a bit too small....I really don't want to pay any more money but I am thinking they need something. I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks:) Ann-Marit

Hi Ladies, I am just wondering if there are any past brides who may have any Turquoise or Teal organza or tulle I could buy off of you. I think I underestimated what I have to decorate my beach canopy and don't think I have time to order online. Thanks! Ann-Marit

Have an amazing time Kat! And a great Christmas! I can't wait to see photos.

Avens, I am sorry to hear about your Fiance being laid off right after you both moved here. I know you live in Leduc but I have a really good tailor who doesn't charge a lot at all. I got my second dress straps altered and a snag fixed for 30$ and she said she would do a bustle for 20$! She works at the Page Cleaners and Tailors right on Jasper Avenue. I brought in my jacket to get dry cleaned , it was missing a button and without asking me she found a matching button and sewed it on!

Great Dress Avens! Did you get this as a sample dress? What type of fabric is it? Silk? I am curious as my sample dress is silk and I decided not to get it dry cleaned as it would cost more then the dress itself did. It isn't really dirty but it would be nice to freshen it up.

Hi Ladies, So these are the clutches that I am getting for myself and my bridesmaids. The flowers are detachable which is nice and you get to pick the fabric, inside and out. http://www.etsy.com/shop/eclu?ref=seller_info

Hi Krysta, I will try and post my message again...it didn't appear. I am in the same boat as you...I got a great deal on their jewelry. I found these really pretty clutches on Etsy. I am ordering one for myself with the teal flower and in champagne fabric on the outside. Then I am getting two with ivory fabric and dark red flowers. The flowers are detachable so the girls can use their clutches again. You get to choose the fabric inside the purses too. Depending on the styles, they range from 58$ to 65$ each but you get a discount if you order more then 1. If you don't like these, there are a lot of other nice clutches on Etsy. I hope this helps! A-M http://www.etsy.com/shop/eclu?ref=seller_info

Hi Krysta, I am in the same boat! I got an amazing deal on their jewelry. I am planning to order them these clutches in a champagne or ivory color(below) from Etsy.I am getting myself one with a turquoise flower and theirs with red flowers as their dresses are red. You get to choose the fabric, inside and out. The flower is detachable so they can use the purse and flower again. If you get more then one the price goes down. If you want different clutches, their are a lot of nice ones on Etsy. Hope this helps. A-M http://www.etsy.com/shop/eclu?ref=seller_info

Hi Jaykay, I agree with what the other brides have said. Weddings can bring out the best and worst out of families...sigh. I would say that your FI have a chat with his mom and ask if she is willing to to the Oot bags and pay any additional costs as you guys are tying up all of your last minute details. I think telling them that they can come on vacation but not to the events itself might hurt alot of feelings. But let your FMIL deal with it as they are her friends and she is the one that would like them there. Good luck! A-M

Great Review Carrie! Lots of great info! We leave in less then 30 days so your review got me excited!! Share it with my FI and his mom. She sent us cuff links and my garter in the same tartan as his kilt that just came in this week. I am hoping that I have luck with our coordinator in regards to the decor of the canopy. I am bringing extra chair sashes that I want hung on the white canopy. When I emailed them to ask the set up cost they told me 250$! I am hoping I can negotiate this as we have about the same amount of guests as you did so there isn't much set up needed for the chairs and sashes. Any advice? I think we will be dealing with Landy now, it seems she has taken over our file from Anabel or do they share accounts? I just went into my mailbox(outllook) and somehow found the resort document emails!! I guess I received them over a week ago and somehow they were marked as read! The deadline was this past Friday so I hope everything will be okay. I have been checking my email everyday as they said it should arrive around Nov. 20th. Thanks again for your great information!

So Ladies, After making a trip to the Dollar Tree, yes it is there, I was disappointed. Other brides in Ontario, you need to share with me what you found there. I found Dollarama had a lot more of Oot bag finds. One find I did find though was a few water and summer toys for the one child that is coming. They had actually started packing up the summer stuff in boxes but they were still in the aisles so I carefully peaked in and found some water balls(soak up water) and a soft frisbee. I did get some ring pops for our ladies day. One thing that I saw but didn't need were Ocean Creature crackers (like gold fish) in mini packs in boxes that contained four bags for 1$. You would have to taste them but had I not already sealed my snack bags, I would have bought a few, especially if there were more kids coming. One find I saw at Michaels' but they didn't have the right initials I was looking for was damask compact mirrors with a colored initial in turquoise, green or purple. They also had damask pencils and notepads. Also at Michaels', not Oot bag related, I got a photo charm for a photo of my mom that will be attached to my bouquet(she passed away four years ago) I also found silver shells with turquoise stones, they are charms so have a hole at the top to pass a wire through. I bought some floral wire sticks and I am going to still these in my real touch bouquet that should be arriving next week! They were 6.00$ each but I had a 20% off my entire purchase(got three). They had a silver starfish, not as nice and a goldish starfish with some smaller colored stones on it. At Bath and Body Works, I bought striped fuzzy shea butter socks with grips on them for myself and the bridesmaids. Our hotel rooms are tile like most and are supposedly cold at night...and I don't want any of us slipping on those floors! They had some wrapped up like cupcakes, really cute but they weren't my colors so I bought the red and turquoise ones and I am going to wrap them in a similar way. At La Vie en Rose, they have small Soak up I think it is called for 99 cents which should give you likely more then two washes of your swimsuits. I got two for each bridesmaid. I thought this was a great find as the bottles are 10$. So I think I am officially done my Oot bag shopping. Going to try and finish my labels tonight and I will take photos and share. I am going to start giving my bags out to a few people at my shower next weekend! Can't believe there is less then 30 days until we leave!

So Ladies, Although I am about to seal my oot bag bags with all of their goodies and put them somewhere to make room for Christmas decor etc, I decided to google to see if there was a Dollar Tree in the Edmonton area...my brother in law is in commercial real estate and I was sure he had said one was taking over a Dollar Giant. Ta dah, there is one 10 mins from my house! So I will have to go today and see what it is like, I have never been to a Dollar Tree. I am crossing my fingers that I don't find anything I haven't already bought. I will let the Edmonton brides know how it is...It is supposed to be in St.Albert, across from the Superstore.

Kristina, I forgot to mention that we're bringing our laptop and speakers so we can play music at dinner, (our reception is poolside) and we are allowed music. We are going to have a first dance and possibly a couple others but I heard from past DT brides that you don't need to book a dance floor for a little dancing. They charge you 750$ for the dance floor! Hope this helps.

Hi Kristina, We are getting married in the Mayan in January and there are only going to be 13 of us in total. We aren't getting a DJ for the same reason. What we are doing is having a cocktail reception at 5:30, our wedding is at 4:00 (photos right after) Dinner at 6:00 or 6:30. We have a mariachi band included in our package so we are going to get them to come to the beginning of our dinner. We are going to have maracas at each place setting so I am hoping everyone gets up and dances a bit to the music. After dinner, we are going to check out the disco...if it isn't happening i know there is a piano bar at the resort so we may just end the night there. We put together a good pre wedding package if info for the resort and area that I will soon post on here with photos. But I would be happy to share it with you. Secrets resorts and Dreams resorts are owned by the same company and we stayed right by the Secrets Capri I think two years ago. It was a gorgeous resort. I am sure your resort will be amazing! We are getting married at Dreams tulum.

Thanks Janet! I think I will go with the Crest strips. How long do the effects last for? DO they really last 10 months? I am trying to decide how far before our wedding I should use them.
-
Allie, Thanks for the info. I received a Groupon yesterday for laser teeth whitening and I was a bit worried. I read about another bride's bad experience so I am glad to hear the crest white strips work. I have heard that the fill in molds are better then the strips. Do you know anything about that?

Hi Canadian Oot baggers:) It has been a while since I posted on here. My update is mainly for Alberta brides. So I have never had any luck finding the Michaels' sewing kits anywhere here in Edmonton. Last night I was there for some DIY stuff and looked down on my way to the til and there they were! I think they are a bit different then the ones other Canadian brides got this summer, mine are in plastic cases but they come in blue, green and a cranberry red. I got the cranberry ones, anyways,. I hope that helps some Alberta brides. Also, in the same bin section, they have stand up note/paper holders that would be great for holding name place cards. They had red ones in the shape of a hibiscus flower(red). I thought of getting them but I think we will be using some white starfish for my name cards. Hope my finds help!

Hi Manda, That is quite a price! I also need to get a band to fit in with my e-ring. I am getting mine at a wholesale jeweller and it is costing me 1200$. I would recommend asking friends, Is there any way the jeweller can negotiate the price? Good luck. We also didn't want to spend over a certain amount for both, our budget was 1500$ for both and realized that if we both wanted customized bands our budget would have to go up. So my fiance is opting for a more basic band for now. Hope you can find something you are happy with:)

Avens, Love your cups! I think I would have done the same if I hadn't bought mine already. I need your advice. Mine are aluminum (insulated) coffee cups from Canadian Tire in my colors, red and turquoise. I tried to stick a round label with our logo on a cup but it wouldn't go on the cup straight. So I was thinking of leaving them plain, but now I am having second thoughts. My girlfriend said that this way people are more likely to use it again. Thoughts? I was going to put their name on each cup using a labeller. Your thoughts are appreciated:)
