Hi Ladies, I must say you all have beautiful dresses! Here is a photo of mine from online. I have pics of me in it somewhere...I bought it back in March when we went to Vegas. I didn't really think I would walk out of the store with a dress. I bought it before we had picked our date but I knew we were having a DW. My mom past away three years ago so trying on dresses was really tough. Buying it on my own made it less emotional. Anyhow, here is my dress! I still love it and it still fits. yay!

Hi DT brides, My question is probably for those of you past DT brides who got married on the beach. Did any of you bring your own aisle runner? Do you know how long the aisle is? I really want to wear dressy sandals down the aisle to I don't need to hem my dress and if we don't get the Ultimate package, the resort wants to charge 100$ to rent us the aisle runner. So I was debating about making my own personal aisle runner either with material or a fabric aisle runner you can buy online or at Michaels...but to be honest, they don't look that durable. Any thoughts? I am going to price out white cotton fabric that I can roll and fold, which would be easier to pack. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Anne, I also saw the passport covers like the ones at Michaels' at Party Packagers, not sure if you have one near you. They also had nice luggage tags..They only had green and pink though.

We are staying at Dreams Tulum. Does anyone know if there are shops where we could get maracas in Tulum? A little closer then Playa del Carmen. I agree, I think I will wait and get them there!

Ladies, Thank you for all the tips of what to put in my Oot bags. Did any of you find the key cards/holders at dollarama's? I think I saw an earlier post about ordering them online? I agree, this is definitely something I want to include. I found really nice pashminas at Le Chateau Outlet for 20$,. I am only giving those to the bridesmaids..possibly to mother in law. Did any of you Canadian brides order or find nice maracas? They have some at Party Packagers but thought maybe there is another Canadian store or website where I can get them for cheaper. I want to give one mini maraca at each place setting for the reception. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback on the cost ladies. Can I ask what else you put in your bags? I think our guests will have most of the toiletries with them. I would like to put in some unique things that likely won't have already packed....ideas? I am leaning toward decks of cards, not sure if guests will really use them. Finds at Party Packagers..I think there are stores across Canada. They have lanterns, paper puffs, flip flop decks of cards-1$. They also have large sets of maracas, 7.99$, and mini sets of maracas 3.30$. I am thinking you could maybe get these cheaper.

HI Canadian Brides, Thanks for all of the recent finds. I am curious, approx. how much are you spending on your OOT bags? I have spent 100$ already and I have only bought my jute bags from Dollarama, tumbler cups, book for the woman, lip balm and tylenol. Thoughts? Here are the finds I found at Dollarama- Aquafina lipbalm-raspberry flavor 2 for 1$. They have neat Chicken Soup for the Soul- Taste of Ultimate women-easy read 2$- nice because the cover has a woman laying on a beach. Superstore has a two pack of Purex hand sanitzer for $1.50, bigger bottles then the Dollarma bottles. Men's Speed stick deoderant for 1$. Hope this helps!

Hi Tori, Thanks for the web site, lots of great stuff on there! Re-sewing kits at Michael's, did you find them with the sewing notions or in the bargain bins? I was at Michael's today for the 3rd time this week...and didn't see this note. I may make my own though. For those ladies making your own, I went to my Dollar Giant store and they had nice sewing kits (not in a container) that you could assemble in the diy holders. They were nicer then the ones I saw at Dollarama. I am debating about spending the money on cloth bags or just going with paper bags...any thoughts. How much on average are you ladies spending on your OOT bags?

Hi, So you need to be in executive class to get access to this closet then? My travel agent is great but not back from holidays until next week. I emailed her requesting her to look into the possibility of an upgrade. We couldn't book as a group with ACV as family outside of the country is flying with diff. airlines and others chose to use air miles...but we still have 5-6 of us in booking. I called ACV and spoke to a woman who didn't seem to know much as she put me on hold twice...I was told that I didn't qualify for an upgrade or access to the closet as I did not have a group booking...she told me that if I tried to get an upgrade via Air Canada they wouldn't do it for free as they are a separate company...seriously......my FI thinks it is bullochs...lol...from Scotland. Any suggestions...I don't believe what this girl said, I think we can try with someone else...I am hoping my travel agent with have some tips. Even if we don't get upgraded, which would be nice...I want access to that closet. Luvmoo, what did you say to get it?

No Problem, I have had a few problems messaging people on here too and attaching photos. If we stay with our existing wedding package yes, I will have to pay for it but if we choose to go one package higher, the top package at our resort, it is included along with a few other things so it may be worth it. I plan on taking my shoes off for photos after the wedding but really want to wear sandals to walk down the aisle. We will see, packing the aisle runner may be too much of pain. I am trying to find out if we qualify with Air Canada Vacations for an upgrade and if we do I get to bring 3 bags instead of 2....yay. Where do you live? Jamaica would be another nice place for a wedding!

Hi, The first image is fine, I was wanting to hopefully have a monogram inside a dotted circle, with two palm trees and two star fish at the bottom of the trees with our initials included somehow. I was just finding it hard to overlap the first star fish. I was playing around again last night, are you able to tell me how you got your images to overlap without any background?..I tried cropping again and removing the background but still can't do it. Thanks!

Hi, Can I ask, do you have a group booking with ACV? I am still waiting to hear back from our travel agent to see if we get the upgrade. We couldn't do a group booking as we have family coming from all over....hoping we can still get the upgrade. or I will have to get my FH to sweet talk the attendant with his Scottish accent to at least get moved to Exec. Class!

Hi no, I think you mixed me up with luvmoo, she's getting married in Jamaica. We are getting married in Mexico at Dreams Tulum. The top package does include the rental of the aisle runner but we were planning on getting the package below that. I hope your planning is going well. Cheers!

Happy Planning! I plan on putting a monogrammed sticker or transfer on each cup once I am done designing my monogram, which is driving me crazy!!

Hi Manda, Here is a photo I found online, I haven't taken pics yet. They look the same but with no text. I plan on putting our monogram on stickers or a transfer of some kind....once I get the monogram done! That is driving me crazy right now. Good luck with your planning!
