So I'm doing MIB invitations to our wedding aboard a cruise ship and boarding pass invites to our Pre wedding dinner. Here are samples of the two using some ideas I've seen on this site.
I'm ordering my flowers from Angel's Accents. I didn't like the design of the ones Carnival offers. They looked a little generic. Although, mine will be real touch/ fake flowers. I'm hoping, they will still look real and be beautiful.
On the Disney cruise line, children, under 12, I think are FREE. The cost of the cruise and weddings are significantly higher than NCL,Carnival or RCL, but DISNEY is soo wonderful. It will be well worth the money.
We are getting married in Baltimore on a cruise ship, on embarkation day. I could add something local to the bags, like crab seasoning packets or something like that. Hmmm, thanks. Great idea.
Thanks!!!
Yes, I changed the flowers to match the colors of our wedding party. Hmmm you're right. I will group them closer together so they aren't so spread out and give more of that bouquet feel. Our cruise line won't allow candles, but I'm thinking maybe I should try the battery operated type of tea lights? Thanks I will try vellum, too. Maybe I should try a square vase too?
My second project were my Guest Favors or Swag bags. Our guests are all non sailing and most are from out of town. I'm thinking of including the following in the bags. Mini Bottle of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum (men) or Parrot Bay (women) Mini toy "chest" stuffed with personalized Chocolate gold coins Hand Sanitizer Lifesavers Program Fans The bags are jute and I've stenciled an anchor onto it. But what else can I do to make it a little more stylish and less "home school project?"
I'm trying a few DIY projects for our cruise wedding. The first were the center pieces I fell in love with on Martha Stewart's wedding site. Martha's Mine What can I do to make mine look as stylish as the ones shown on the site? Any advise you can offer would be great.
I know I want to do a few DIY projects for my 2012 wedding. I've been gathering information on SWAG bags. I bought some jute bags from another BDW bride and want to try to stencil on the jute. Does anyone have any tips for stenciling? I like what was done here: and want to combine it with this any thoughts/ tips?
I've found another site for an even cheaper price https://bottlemeamessage.com/index.php My order included the following for 25 STD's (so about $1.56 each) plastic bottles, boxes, sand, parchment paper and confetti for $39.00 The only items left to get are the twine to tie the bottles and labels for shipping. Look for pictures soon! I'm so excited.
I finally found a site that has the MIB kits for reasonable price. http://www.invitationinabottle.com/?Click=2727&gclid=CKzUq-iXjqoCFQjf4AodfF2Dxg You can even customize your level of service if you'd like to have them assemble the bottles for you. I'm going to order my bottle kits from here and the boxes from Sand art because @ Sand Art the boxes are only 44 cents each. Just thought I'd pass along the info.
Thanks. I was thinking of using them for announcements as well. My fiance has quite a bit of family who live abroad and won't actually attend the ceremony but we'd still like to notify. What was the thickness/ paper weight of the upgraded card stock? SUBMIT
Can you combine both? A wedding on the beach with a shipboard reception? The reception would be like a group dinner, and you can reserve a private room on board like you would any other group booking.
