  1. Go for Fer Fuentes https://www.facebook.com/fer.fuentes He is one of the best in Cancun and the Riviera Maya! Cheers!
  2. @@Sophiaone95 I have been here in Playa del Carmen for 5 years, there are more kidnaping in Phoenix than in Mexico, It is unsafe in more neighbour hoods in New York that in Mexico, in the 5 years I have never seen anything that you wrote on your post. I have done around 450 or more weddings and I do not know a single person having such problems while they are here. You and your family can come Mexico because It is safe. Only the border with USA is dangerous, but this is another story. Happy planning!!!
  3. Want better beaches? Neither of them! Dreams Cancun/Tulum or Playacar Palace are over those, a way better!
  4. You better make sure about hotel policy, also there is a law that's been pushing hotels, be careful if you bring foreign people to work in Mexico, if you get caught, there is an expensive fine for you and the photographer and they also may lose their equipment, happy planning!

  6. Consider if you want an outside photographer the hotel "vendor outside fee" I think Dreams charge 300USD and perhaps just a day pass (around 100 USD), Azul Sensatori and any other Karisma will be 800USD... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Comments are personal thoughts, reviews may give you a better idea of the general service, look into each photographer portfolio and select the one that fits your needs, including price Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think they all are almost the same, from my photographer point of view, I think the Barcelo has more nice spots for photography, although I can do pictures anywhere I think this is my own opinion about those 3 resorts, happy planning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Resorts are set up or increasing what they call the outside vendor fee, It is sad people are not free to select what they want to have, photography as an art discipline is subjective against comparing, so It is sad when it is also impost, we offer some flexible alternatives for brides, not to avoid it but to help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If bride are hiring an outside photographer, check out the outside vendor policy, some resorts like Azul Beach charges 800USD for photographers to come into property, I am not sure about the Dreams resorts but it must be something like 300USD, each resort changes it often and have different policy happy planning!
  13. Erica and Martina are pelase to work with, they are super organized and do super work! I love to work with them and in fact with almost every wedding Planner!
  14. 18. Well, during those months the weather is so hot, not humid as june to august, but hot, my recommendation si to look for december-february day which the wether is nice, not hot but still warm enough. So for your ceremony, do it 2 hours before sunset, many hotels has locations where at this time there is shade on the venue, even outdoors. Good luck on your wedding!!!!
  19. I do not get why you need someone familiar with the resort, but try Fernando Fuentes from the Make up Pros, goole them online, they are awesome!! good luck!
  20. wow they seem to be a good photographers, congratulations!
  21. I though this may help some brides to decide about the photographer: 1.- Make sure you match your vision about your photos against the photographer vision 2.- the photographer style is part of the vision, makes sure you like the vision, vision is what he shows in his site, look at every single picture detail 3.- Usually all pictures in any website will look great, at least in sharpness, make sure the photographer is able to capture the environment as It was, and for me the most important, that it has a real moment and then It will be a time worthy picture 4.- After you have check at least 10 photographer wedding posts, then you can be sure you understood his vision and like the vision as well 5.- Go for price, can afford? good go next step 6.- Talk to the photographer and make sure you both click, for me having a strong relation It is important to truly capture real moments, worthy moments, pictures that will last, worth and be appreciated for ever 7.-Review all terms and conditions, this is just formalism but not less important 8.- Hire the photographer because many of them get hire really quick, like me 9.- Make sure you sign a contract, expectatives must be clear for both sides Any question, pelase let me know, I will be so glad to help any bride around there I am a passionated photographer that If I could, I would not charge a cent!
  22. I have shot more than 300 wedding in this area, I have seen so many receptions and for sure I can tell you that a good DJ turn out the reception to the highest level, If I were you I would go for Doremixx and Disco Movil Cancun For experience I have gotten the best reception shoots with both of them
  23. As far as I know, Karisma has a contract with Lomas travel, this means that the photography service was bid and won by a third party, so there is no approved photographer for these resort, just the company than won the bid. But also Karisma, Lomas travel and the third pary can block an outside photographer for many reasons, if we are not blocked then we are approve but you will have to pay the outside vendor fee anyway, I AM NOT BLOCKED and I AM APPROVED . hope you find this post helpful
