Hi! I'm actually going for an onsite inspection in March as well! You don't get a wedding planner assigned until 3 months before the wedding unless you go speak to someone in person, which is why I'm going sooner. I originally chose the diamond wedding package, but it is no longer available. I'm contemplating choosing one of the Collin Cowie wedding packages, the only thing is that they come with a photography package , being that I'm bringing Jochy, I'm not sure how that will work since they told me I can't switch that package for anything else. I plan on having at least 75 guests, so hopefully we will have the unlimited functions. When I go in March I will decide about decorations, a girl I recently met who got married there ended up shipping 8 boxes from here to there, because their decorations were over priced, I'm thinking of doing the same but won't decide until I go there and compare. Once I find out everything for sure, I'd be more than happy to share any additional info, as of yet I've signed the contract and paid $500 for the catholic ceremony fee, no down payment on the wedding package yet. ToyaToyaToya- She had family over there so she ended up shipping 8 boxes. I might do the same or send everyone with an extra luggage. I'm also looking into hiring an outside person to decorate. To rent from the resort is just so pricey! I hope to gather more info when I go in March!

Just curious, I figured top shelf wouldn't be the same as here in the U.S. I still have not heard from a wedding planner so I'm going in March to do the onsite inspection and actually speak to someone! Are you getting all your decorations from the resort? I spoke to someone who recently got married there and she ended up bringing a lot from here because of the prices they charge. None the less her wedding was absolutely amazing! If you'd like I can give you her photographers name on facebook and you'll see her amazing pics! Thanks again!

Hey all! Does anyone know if you do qualify for the unlimited private functions, does that include all food and alcohol and if so is it top shelf alcohol? Do you get to choose? Just wanted to know if there were any limitations involved. Thanks! Vanessa

So we are officially booked for October 12, 2012! I'm concerned about not being able to communicate with my on site wedding planner 3 months before! Am I able to book where I would like my reception/cocktail hour before I speak with a wedding planner? I'm just concerned on availibity especially since I won't speak to a planner until 3 months before my wedding! Can anyone help with this? I'm also planning an on site inspection how long before my wedding is it recommended for me to go? Thanks gals! =)

I'm getting married on Oct, 12, 2012 at the hard rock and they are giving me a hard time bringing an outside photographer. According to them in order for me to have an outside photographer He has to be from the US and be a guest at the resort. Being a guest at the resort isn't a problem, but I wanted to use a photographer that resides in the Dominican Republic. Just wondering if anyone is also having these issues? Thanks!

hey all! I'm getting married Oct 12, 2012 at the HR! I reserved the date, however I need to see if their priest is available for that date, I wanted to have the ceremony in the beach, but without permisiom from the bishop i dont think that will be possible has anyone seen pictures of their chapel/gazebo?
