The resorts that my TA gave me to look into are these resorts: 3 night, 4 day Now Lamier - 461 pp land Melia Caribe Tropical - 449 pp land **Paradisus Punta Cana - 512 pp Majestic Colonial - 368 pp Majestic Elegance - 395 pp Makes me a little nervous that you ladies are getting cheaper prices, I don't understand that especially since mine is going to be during hurricane season. They will price match, do you know where your TA is getting her information. JB, Thanks! I had tons of fun making them with my FMIL and they turned out great! I can't wait to be able to get the DIY projects on here!! I LOVE the NOW resorts so I guess we will see when they open up and how the reviews go??

That's not a group rate yet just if we decided to book seperate but that does also include private transfers and all the taxes and fees. It ended up better for other resorts. She said that that price was high for what you get. No that resort isn't on the list at all actually, I'm going to have to look it up tomorrow at work. I will send you the over the pic of the boutonieres tomorrow :-)

OK Ladies so here is what I found out today. 1) Emy is not the wedding coordinator, and they still don't know who is going to be the wedding coordinator when they do open. That makes me VERY nervous 2) My TA said we need to wait and see if they even open on time because if they don't, that is not a good sign at all. 3) The Rates that my first TA gave me was COMPLETELY wrong and that really makes me mad!!! For 3 nights, 4 days it's 461 per person. My new TA gave me a couple of different resorts which is what I am going to look into, if you ladies are interested I can tell you those resorts also!

AcutieRn, do you have her correct email?? It's [email protected] I haven't had a problem with her at all, very quick responses. Maybe email her again, maybe it's going to her junk mail??? Hey ladies!! I have a phone meeting with my TA today to figure out all the details so hopefully by the end of the week I will have my date set!!! I am glad that we all have each other to kind of go through this process together so we can see what deals they are giving each of us!! My future in laws came into town this weekend and we made the guys boutonieres and they came out great!

Yea that price is for the basic room so I am sure we will be doing upgrades! It cost 50 to start with them but that price ends up going towards your trip. I am in the process of switching TA within destinationweddings.com because my first one didn't help me what-so-ever. I have done all of my own research. Thanks to this forum I found a couple different people that I would love to work with so today I should be getting a new person. I will let you know how it goes! Hey girls! I got that price from destinationweddings.com. We are also going in August, which is considered hurricane season so maybe that is why it is so cheap. I about feel out of my chair when I saw the quote. That is only for LAND for seven nights, the airfaire won't be posted till August, Septemeber or October. They don't know yet. I am hoping I book as soon as they are available so I can get them as cheap as possible

JBMarch: I didn't know that, that is the only reason I liked the Divine package... so I guess I will be going with the cheaper package then. That sucks actually!!! Wedding date is going to be August 11, 2012 and I just got room rates for 2 people on the land part is 961... WHAT??? That is soooo cheap! I really want to screem at my Destination Wedding Travel Agent right now! So far I have done ALL of my research by myself and she just says yes or no... really??? I pay them to help my find a place for my dream wedding and of course they couldn't give a crap about it!!! I called the Director of Sales TUESDAY and left a message because of course she didn't answer, which didn't surprise me. I left a message and she still hasn't called me back. This is ridiculous!!! Sorry I had to vent a little bit!

AcutieRN, Thanks for all the advice. Does anyone know who the resort dj is going to be though??I am probably just go with the divine package which includes the dj so that is why I was asking? As far as the hair and makeup go I was going to do a trail run also. Hoping they do a great job so I won't have to find an outside vendor but would like to know one as a back up with anything happens, you know? Are you ladies having problems with them responding to your emails?? I have gotten a response within a couple of hours whenever I email her, hopefully she will get back to you ladies soon! Our date is open and I am hoping to book this weekend or even on Monday!! YAY!! I can't wait to have this part over with!
