Unfortunately we had a similar misfortune in that our WC too our original birth certificates, my husbands divorce & my adoption certificates along with the translated & legalized versions and we never got them back!!!!! To be honest I didn't realize it until we got home as I thought we had only given get the photocopies & translated copies. I emailed our WC & she said the judge kept everything & that he needs them!?!?! I am very upset!!! We can get copies from our Province but that isn't the point-I wanted the originals!!! Soo please be extra careful if you're having a legal ceremony.

We're having HDC as our wedding photographer & are super excited about it!!! I'm now wondering if anyone would recommend having a videographer at their wedding as well as a photographer? And if so, which company would you suggest? Thanks

30 days till take off for us!!! I'm sooo excited & also a bit freaked out too in that I won't have all done that I need to &/or final decisions made!! lol Everyone's attire is bought, tailored, etc. I go for my 2nd dress fitting in a few days..so basically it's 'small' things like a guest book (is everyone taking one of these?? or?), what to give the flower girls to hold instead of flower petals (I love the 'here comes the bride' sign however I can't seem to find any!) and a few other minor things YET they all seem to add up in my mind! lol I don't see it gettting any easier EXCEPT I keep reminding myself of what other brides have said upon their return, DON'T STRESS! lol

We've decided to set assigned seating as we have 61 guests coming to our DW! As such I'm looking for ideas, suggestions & what past brides have done for making a seating chart and/or table #'s! thanks

I'm strongly leaning towards ordering travel mugs from Factory 21 for all of our guests & am tossed on when to give them out?! The whole point is for them to use them at the resort so any suggestions on when to give them? I thought on the plane but then that means I'll have to lug a big bag full on to the plane! Maybe at the airport? Then there's the dilemma of making sure to see everyone before check in! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also any suggestions on the logo or phrase on the mug besides our name & date?

Hellow fellow MJ brides!!!!! I'm curious as to anyone who has booked and/or stayed in the presidential suite for their wedding reception/night? We've booked the Wet Bar for our private reception however the appeal of the private bathrooms & large indoor area as well as a special place for us to stay on the night of our wedding has me wondering if we should book it for the reception/evening. Any info would be very helpful & greatly appreciated!!

Hi Astef! I'm having the same dilema as my girls are also wearing a one shoulder strap dress. I'm leaning towards earrings & a bracelet and not wearing a necklace however I'd also love to hear other ppls opinions/suggestions

Hi Vancouver Bride I decided on HDC & am SO excited to have them be a huge part of our day!! I kept reviewing pics from all the photographers I had in the 'mix' and in the end I loved HDC's the best...they also have great reviews, great customer service & the prices seem good too Hope this helps!

I love the bracelet!! It's gorgeous! I have been thinking of wearing a bracelet and not a necklace as my dress has one strap with detail on it and I think wearing a necklace will be 'too much'. Where is the bracelet from?

Any thoughts on if it's appropriate/flattering if the BM dresses have one strap and so does the bride's gown? They are of different material and of course color..complimetary or too 'matchy'?

Hi Jen We're having a legal (civil) ceremony & no you do not have to be there a certain # of days before the wedding date..they just recommend 1 or 2 to get things sorted out. Legally though, you're fine . There is a lot of paper work to have a legal wedding in the DR (for it to be legal back in Canada) however I feel it's SO worth it

Ps. Also any suggestions on how far into the reception should we hire the photographer for? Thanks!!

Our ceremony is at 3:00 and the private reception starts at 6:30...can anyone share an idea (or their own) agenda for the reception? Any ideas, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated
