It would be lovely with the leaves on the ground and fluffy snow falling.... but so far the forecast is for the sleety type, or freezing rain. Not so pretty. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for decent weather though! And same to you! Maybe pack along an old fuzzy blanket you can drape around you between picture locations to keep your legs from freezing in that skirt?

Sorry you are having such a tough time Parents get weird at big events when there is drama, don't they? and no, it should definitely not be your job to babysit her! All will work out.

No OOT bags here either. We are giving out Bubba Kegs instead, and a few things go into them.... sunscreen wipes, if I can find them, for example. Most people we know travel anyway so they know what to bring, and we are sending out a "What to Pack" list as part of our pre-travel brochure. OOTs would just cost us money we do not have, take up space, and we know our specific group would not appreciate them so much. Plus, we are the first to have a DW - no one will really know what they are missing anyway! That being said, our "ladies" - the bm, moh, and both moms - are getting sort of oots for their gift, but I am giving them theirs at the airport or maybe even my bridal shower or spa weekend, so I do not need to pack them down and they only need to take what they want there. Another idea is to pick up little favours when you GET there... something local. And treat that like a welcome gift instead (like tequila for Mexico, or postcards, or something like that.)

We actually are not having flowers. I do not want to pack down fake ones, and we are not paying the prices to have the hotel cover it. Our package includes one centrepiece for the head table; if we decide to go with a long table, it will go in the centre, otherwise it is with us. We picked up some sea glass and shells and will be scattering them down the centre, probably with tealights or something (thinking dollar store battery ones, then they can just stay there like disposable ones.) Very simple, but the goal is to not pack tons down there, save money, and enjoy the natural beauty.

Are you using real or fake starfish? You could attach a clip to the back (hot glue might work)and then the raffia would just get pinned into it. I think that might work; hopefully it makes sense! PS - Love both of these pictures!

Thanks - Me too. I was thinking I would save it for the day, but I think now I will make a CD to listen to for getting ready and also use it to listen to while DIY ing.

You could always do something a little wonky.... We are making our cake toppers out of toys. Han Solo and Belle (from Beauty and the Beast). That way it is very personal. Not high on the classy factor, but definitely fun!
