Thanks. If there were more than one GM, there would be no question in my mind, but for just the two of them... I guess a bout could make it look different though; I had forgotten about that! I am also thinking of putting one in short sleeves, the other in long (though who am I kidding, he's just going to roll them up anyway). The bridesmaids (2 of them... I know, I know, uneven numbers!) will be in coral (our colours are coral and blue).

I made them cards. I mailed one of them with coconut bath salts. My MOH got a paper gift bag with the bath salts and coconut body butter, with the card too. I had seen a picture of cards like this somewhere, thought they were cute, and knew I could do something similar.

There are so many wonderful Mexico venues to choose from! What part of Mexico are you looking into? Our back-up plan is the Riviera Maya area... if for some weird reason the Dominican can't work out. We've been to a few places in Mexico before, and wanted to go somewhere completely different. But it is sure gorgeous there!

Okay, I had every intention of starting at the beginning, and then I couldn't get to my computer, so I am making sure to post first thing this morning! Hope I am doing this right... I am not sure so much on some of my goal measurements... I mostly just want to see the inches go down! And hopefully by quite a bit.

So, my FI has chosen to only have one man - his best friend - stand up with him. Should I get them to wear matching clothing? FI wants to wear linen khaki-coloured pants and a white linen shirt, which I am please with. His GM will be wearing something similar, but now I am wondering if I should make it different somehow. A blue shirt instead, maybe, or short sleeves? (Blue is one of our colours). Of course, when I ask them, they say they do not care. I want to take advantage of the sales this summer, so I would like to have my mind made up in the next couple months. What do you think, ladies? Should the two guys match or be slightly different? Or completely different? What do you think?

Hah! No, the wedge was just on beyond the rack... I am calling myself dressless because I have not gone dress shopping yet. So I feel silly, for having the shoes first. Oh well. FI is trying to talk me into a shorter dress, and he figured the best way to do that is to have me look at shoes, since I am fairly shoe obsessed. Well, I knew I would have to get a wedge, and this was in our colour. They were a great deal. $29!!! If you are on beyond the rack, check them out, they have similar sales on all the time. The DIY barefoot sandals were quite simple. I am only concerned about the size. Me and my MOH are sisters, with similar feet and ankles, but I just had to kind of guess on the others. I just looked at a pic of one and started in on it! I am rather pleased with them though. As for beads and string, I am sorry I cannot help out whoever asked about that one. I already had all of these in my house. I have a lot of crafty things lying around, so I like getting to use them once in a while. So they were completely free! I hope they don't break in the sand, I had not thought of that. Well, I am not wearing them down the aisle anyway, but still... There are some craft stores where you can fill up a little pill-bottle size container with any beads. I used to do that, but it was not at a chain store, and it was a long time ago. Just look around and see what you find! Good luck!

Yup! I made some for me, my bms, and the moms. They are all a bit different. They aren't for the ceremony (for me, anyway, the girls can wear whatever on their feet they like), but I thought they would be fun for pictures. Mine are these; the ones with white on them, of course! Simple, but I love them anyway. Also, I just heard that dressless me will be getting my shoes soon... They were on beyond the rack, in my colour, and I could not resist.

Haha! You know what is crazy?! I did the same thing! I knew I wanted colourful wedges (no question, we will be on the beach, and I'm about a foot and a half shorter than FI). Beyond the Rack had coral wedges (one of our colours) on this weekend for $29. I am not even looking at dresses until this summer, but I went and got them anyway. For that price, even if they do not work out, I can just have them! So glad I am not the only one! I feel a little less crazy now! Haha!

I would suggest finding a resort, booking that resort, and then decide on photographer and/or videographer. I think that would be the thing that books up quickest. At least, that is my first focus! Then fun stuff!, like STD, bridal party, etc.... It all depends on what you want to do!

This is what we have... We are doing boarding pass STD, and it is an entire pass attached. We are exchanging vows in a tropical paradise, under the sun, with the turquoise sea as our backdrop and white sand beneath our feet. While we would be honoured to have you share this special day with us, we certainly understand that it may not be a reality for some, and we know that your thoughts and well-wishes will be with us. We are also planning an at-home reception upon our return, and would love to see you then. We hope that you are able to mark your calendars for our dream wedding!

I crave salty most of the time, rarely sweet.... but when I do crave sweet, I go to the fruit. After all, fruit is nature's candy!

I found bikini bags at Walmart for $12 a piece.... if anyone is looking.... I picked up one for each of my girls, and one for me! I'm also talking to FI about his attire and his best man's attire. FI wants to wear khaki coloured pants and a linen white shirt. He told me to decide what his best man - the only one standing up with him - will wear. So now I am deciding between the same as FI, or a light blue shirt. Neither of the fellows care. What do you think? Should they match? Or be slightly different? We are purchasing all attire.

Such a great idea! We will be having a small group.... 10-15 probably, no more than 20. We are doing a small photo book and having people sign it yearbook-style. We are using the same book for our AHR though. On the back inside cover I am going to record the people who are coming to DR with us first; then we can keep it separate in our minds when we look back at it, and tell who was at which event years down the road.... Hopefully!

Well, I meant to come on the 15th to post my weigh in, but after the gym that evening, when I got home, FI was in the house... which was wonderful since he is currently working, and living, out of town, and I did not think he would be home this weekend at all. So, needless to say, I spent every minute with him, and didn't get to post my weight and measurements and such. So I will be sure to do so at the next weigh in! Good luck to everyone this week!

There is indeed a Palladium Addict site, with a whole section for weddings. I've only ever been to the Palladium Vallarta, but that was lovely too!

You are not getting married until 2013 summer and you have tried on that many? I wonder if I should start. I was going to in this summer, but thought that might even be too early. Have you had an okay experience so far, despite not finding the dress?

Okay, so we still cannot book for July.... Whoever was wondering about dates, summer in the Caribbean is the cheapest time to go, but weather is not as great. So research a bit... And whoever was wondering about OOTs and favours... I am doing OOT bags I suppose. I was intending on just doing bubbas with a few items in them, but now, with vistaprint, I figure why not just get the free bags from there to put the items it? Plus we are getting really nice favours we are putting in the bags.... digital video cameras I found on clearance. We do not have very many people coming out I think... so I would rather splurge on gifts for them than on other things. I do not think I will do first aid or hangover kits in the bags though.... welcome information (passport style), bubbas, the cameras, lip balm, aloe, and a deck of cards. Most people who are going in our small group travel frequently. I am SO organized and ahead of the game... though I feel better now seeing how much all of you have done already! Don't feel so crazy!

Check out Hidden Worlds. I went ona tour there.... ziplining, jungle tours, and cenotes.... And they are amazing there. We almost thought about switching our destination to the Mayan Riviera just so we could do TTD at Hidden Worlds cenotes. Loved it so much. So beautiful. I am sure I have seen pics from there before somewhere....

This is awesome! I want in! I started taking healthier steps a couple weeks ago. I zumba once a week, and head to the gym 2-3 times besides that. And I am watching what I eat, which is helping I think. I feel better anyway. Right now, FI is gone until the end of August. When he is around, I eat worse/more.... BUT I also have an awesome work out buddy. So, I am now eating better, but not so motivated for the gym. Hmm. I have done Shred before and loved it. I used to do it before work every day. I just already get up at 5, and I cannot handle losing more sleep! But otherwise I would start again for sure. Last spring I lost some weight, but moreso, inches. Probably the healthiest I ever was. Then I went and got lazy and gained it all back, so I would LOVE to get back to where I was.... or further. I will post my measurements and such when I get home. Again, thank you so much for starting this!

Could you maybe post it here? I am curious too...
