    Thanks for the advice ladies, I never knew what "throwies" were till now! But I love the way the lanterns look at night, they woul dloook great in my backyard for our AHR!

    I had the same problem in the begining, no one could get get ahold of our TA. In fact 20 of our guests went through a different travel agent because they were fed up. It makes it very difficult to organize the guest list with the wedding coordinator at the resort, when everyone is listed under different groups!

    My mom is planning a shower. She didn't ask me if I wanted one, which I don't. But it is tradition and you are right, relatives/friends that are not coming to the DW may want to opportunity to give you a gift, words of wisdom, or just celebrate. This is the same for our Jack and Jill. Some ppl think that we should have one because we are going away, but lets face it, going away does not always mean saving money. We are still going to have the 200+ ppl at our AHR, which is a huge expense. I told me family and friends that I am not planning a jack and jill, but apparently they are anyways.

    Thanks for the advice Tori. I hadn't really though about seating everyone. Now that I think about it, I will probably try to do up the seating plan while we are down there. Just have the Name cards already to go. We are going with a very diverse but big group. I figure some might make friends and want top sit together, so I'll wait until I'm down there. But definatly will assign seating, nothing worse standing arounds and not know where to go!

    I just came from Party Packagers and got a buch of stuff for my kids OOT bags. I've never been in there before and I got some really good deals. They also have Tote bags that come with a beach mat, would be nice for a bridesmaids bagplus half price!     I should have also said that, I have amde it clear to our friends and family who are coming to Jamaica that we do not want them to bring or give us gifts, as their attendance is gift enough.
