  1. I was thinking the same thing, but then because I am not having a private reception, I thought it would be nice to be able to have music, maybe people can make speeches and drinks for an hr before dinner...I am still undecided because it seems crazy to pay 500. for a sound system and set up, becasue drinks are basically free anyway....

Regarding the open bar questions, if you are having your wedding at the Wet Bar or the Parrot Bar, there are 2 bars right around there that make it VERY easy for the guests to walk to for a drink..so the open bar is really not necessary unless you do have the money to spend on it.

  2. I am not a NOW bride but I have been following this thread for a long time. This pic of the fountain area is absolutely gorgeous!

Scroll down for the flower and cake info. There are lots of options depending on the package you choose.

Dee, I wanted to decide on the reception location as well, but I have a feeling that until we come and take a tour with the WC it would be nearly impossible. Pictures don't show the whole abiance unfortunately. However, for the ceremony location I chose the fountain site. It looks beautiful :

  3. I am with you, the amount of people with us will be small too and I don't think I am going to do any favors on the table because we are not having a private function, just dinner reservations at the rest. I think that once I finish the OOT bags that will be it for me....but I am torn...

I'm not sure of the etiquette on this....I'm confused and I don't wanna do the whole seating frame thing because it's going to be small and i feel like it's not necessary for my style! I'm like sit wherever you want! so what do i get then? it seems like alot of people do the seating thing for the favors.

  4. Hi bondgirl10072010,

Thank you for the ideas and for showing me the jewelry pieces. I absolutely love them...I am definitely going to check out the links you sent me. I just found out that one of the MOH might not be able to make it now, I will know for sure by November and then I think I am going to be looking into the jewelry you showed us once I know for sure if I have 1 or 2

    Hi asiamarie1!

I have a few ideas for you if you're interested:

    - have one MOH wear fuschia and the other MOH wear orange (may be easier than buying dresses and having a sash dyed)

    - have both MOH's wear fuschia or both wear orange and then custom design either fuschia or orange jewels! Think of it this way, you don't necessarily need them (if you don't want) to represent both colors in the fabric, but you could highlight and accent with jewelry that incorporates your other color (if that makes sense!)

-To give you an idea, I've included a few pics of recently custom designed fuchsia jewels (earrings, bracelets & barefoot jewels) that incorporate either turquoise or lime green. Orange could easily replace either color if you'd like. I have some gorgeous orange beads that are the same style/shape as the fuchsia beads in the "Floating Bougainvillea" earrings.  Hopefully these ideas helped!

I think the style is 83690. And my favorite thing about the dress, it has pockets!

  6. canadiangirl- I guess since Kellygrrrl is retiring her starfish we could always purchase one and start passing a new one....or check with the other girl who is passing a blue starfish.

I am also going to get some sort of flower, to pin on the back of the chair sashes to off set those colors. For the centerpieces, I am doing a few small ones of lime slices with flowers on top and submersible LED tea lights. I put it all together with my dining room table so I could see if I was doing an over kill, and it turned out great! The crystal organza is very pretty, it makes the colors sort of light, basically, not so bold, so you can put 2 colors together and its not crazy looking. Just an idea! I can send you the website I ordered mine from, the prices were great & they were delivered within 3 days.

  8. Hello 2012 Brides! My Fiance and I are getting married on 12/12/12 in Punta Cana, DR. We are still deciding between 2 different resorts, the Majestic Colonial and the Hard Rock. We plan on getting our STD's out by the end of the month once resort is finalized so that we give our guests plenty of time to pay for the trip. We currently now of 10+ that will be booking and can't wait to have the finalized number so that I can begin making my OOT bags. Congrats to all the brides out there. I love this site and look forward to all the information that other brides can provide!!!
