I left enough room at the top to be able to cut a hole out of them to fit around the door knob or make a whole and put string on them

Congrats, our date is 12/12/12 and we also thought about an AHR on NYE but then decided against it. Especially for the time of year and we tend to get a lot of snow..We are not having an extravagant reception at the resort either only a reserved dinner for all guests, we as well are only having about 20 people with a mixture of family and friends...It's your wedding and you have to do what makes you more comfortable.

Awesome job I too am thinking about making the MOH's bouquets myself, well with a little help from on of them....but it just seems the better way to go, being that I can't find exactly what I am looking for in premade ones.

I have ordered a ton of stuff from vistaprint and only paid shipping costs, really does cut down your costs..My STD postcards were free, my travel brochures were free and I used the rack cards to do Do not disturb signs for the guest as well...all free among a ton of other things...lvoe this site

I was told that we would be able to book airlines 11 months before our date. Yes we are using a TA that our guests can use and if they are all flying out of the same airport she said she maybe able to get them a group rate as well...

Kat2012 Congrats and we will be sharing the same wedding day. I can't tell you anything about Cuba or Mexico but I can tell you that there are quite a few resorts in Dominican Republic that have decent rates. We are having our wedding at the Majestic Colonial and not having a private reception since we will only have about 20 people. But the rates for the resort were 740. per person for 7 nights, and then airfare on top of that. I have also heard that the NOW Larimar has been offering some great rates lately....Just make sure that you pay close attention to what the wedding packages offer especially if you want to have a private reception...add-ons can add up.. Good luck in your planning and I look forward to hearing more about it...

Thats amazing that you have 46 guests booked. We just sent out our STD and have put a deadline on them of October 28, 2011. That way we will have a good idea of how many people are coming. We will be having a small wedding though. Most likely only about 20 guests, give or take...but we expected that because we have both been married before and we realize a lot of family can't travel that far....But I am ok with it because my best friends will be there and close family, that's what matters the most!!

I didn't have time to read all of this but I do love this thread. I am 5'7 1/2 and am plus size on the bottom regular size on top. I too am going to try and lose weight before the wedding which isnt until 12/12/12...I hate how hard it is to find clothes that i am comfortable in. But finally my favorite store Maurices where I would by my tops now sells plus size clothes as well.Not all stores but thankfully the one in my town. I always feel like I am sitting in my bottom half and I hate....Reading most of these posts I am hoping will get me inspired more....I am only looking to lose about 55 lbs total...but hoping I can go it...if I don't I bought my dress to fit me as is, and if I do I have a friend of a friend who will alter no matter how much I lose...she is that good!!! I look forward to reading more posts!! Thanks girls....

I would be interested in knowing how much you were able to get as a group rate. We were going to go with the HR but the rates were so high for our guests. We are only paying 200 per couple a night at the Majestic. When I priced the HR they wanted more like 350. per couple per night.
