JB:Yes, I contacted Pastor York early as well. I had heard the same thing. He said he would be happy to do my wedding on April 17, so glad to have him. Is he doing yours for sure? I hear he does an amazing job. I also love his quick reponses by email. Well, my TA said she really wanted to lock in prices so she contacted Emy by phone. She said she has just been busy with opening of resort and confirmed my date. Yeah!!!!!!!!! We are all set. She also got pricing for ocean front rooms--said it is only $80 more per couple per week. Looks like we will be doing that. She is going to start sending me info today and I will pass it on as I get. it.

I hope so, ha ha! I am starting to think she hates me already!

JB:I am so happy for you guys! I know you will be happy with your decision. I will send you the contract ASAP as soon as I get. it. The problem I am having now is that my TA needs my confirmed wedding date to block for a group. Still no response from Emy either, I know she is swamped but I am frustrated because I can't move forward without it. Dee Sanders: When I mailed my request/contract for wedding date I just wrote unsure along the wedding package line. I really am having a hard time deciding as well.I think that is the beauty of a destination wedding, we can just wing it and it all turns out beautiful in the end. I think the Divine package comes with the white chair covers and the eternity will just be the party chairs-I think JB March posted a pic of them several pages back. I think either option will be nice with sashes. Read up on the NOW Jade thread-they talk about the menu a bit and how they have been able to change it up. I think it will be the same for us.What options are you considering for food? Have you heard back from Emy? I still have not...still waiting on my confirmation letter to book my room block and my photographer. I emailed her AGAIN today, I know she is busy but my TA needs it! Hi Girls, I am getting married at the new NOW Larimar in Punta Cana in April 2012. They are previously NHReal of Punta Cana. They are having their grand opening on Sunday, since it is under new management it has been hard for us over the the NOW Larimar thread to get a lot of info regarding wedding packages. We have been sent the information regarding the different packages in general as well as the menu options. What we are looking for, if NOW even provides this, is more detail on things like pictures of flowers that are included, pictures of decorations that are included, pictures of cakes that are included. I have searched this thread but can't seem to find anything. Do they have a "wedding book" like some other resorts do? If so can someone please PM me? Conrats DeeSanders:Soooo excited you are def going with NOW! I think we will all love it, especially once all the transition is over. I can't wait to start reading the trip advisor reviews next week! Does anyone know if they are still on schedule for the May 1 open date?

You guys are prob. right about it being opening week and they are busy. I still have not heard back from her though...kinda crazy! I think my rates include all tax and transfer. It is based on 7 night occupancy(Saturday-Friday), all of my guests will be staying that long. She did say she is working on pricing for 5 nights and that would be in the contract too. I will send it to you guys right away when I get it next week! I was just very persistent. I emailed her every day and said I would not settle for a rate higher than $120 a night and the every sixth room had to be included. It took a bit but it worked! She said the same thing to me, that the room would be refunded immediately to the final payment. DeSanders:I don't really know how to set up the flight alerts, my FI travel 5 days a week for work so he does it for us. He will be home tomorrow and I will ask him and let you know. I think some people do it through Kayak, Expedia, etc. Moni Woni:Where are you flying from? That sounds like a major pain with the airline but you ended up with a fantastic rate! Great job! I agree, if we didn't have this site (and Etsy) I don't know what I would do!

Oh one more thing, This makes me a bit nervous...I still haven't received confirmation on my date from Emy even though they charged my card the $99 and she said she received it that day and she would send me confirmation soon. My TA has been emailing her daily asking for the confirmation letter so we can block rooms and today she sent a response to both of us that if I would fill out the paperwork and send in my money she would hold my date for us and send us the letter!!!!!What in the world? I sent her the email she sent me saying she had my money and info right back but she still hasn't responded. That was like 2 hours ago. Now I am worried....

She did not say when we would be credited, but I will ask her right away. We were planning on paying for out mother's rooms anyway so that is why I didn't ask ahead of time, it is just a bonus that it worked out that we will have 2 free rooms. Also, are you guys hearing about the free room upgrade with every 10?My TA said she would ask about that too. JB, thanks for the info on the kids. She sent me back the same quote as you had for kids. She said I won't have an actual contract to sign for about a week or two. She is going out of town. I spoke with her by phone too so I don't even have an email to send you. So sorry. I will send it over as soon as I have it in my hands. I hope you can stay with NOW too, I really understand about pricing though. It is very complicated! That is good to know about flight pricing coming in May...I will have to set up some alerts to keep me advised of pricing. I hope to find some for around $600 closer to end of summer, right now they are 900-1200 out of KC and Denver! It is cheaper for us to fly to Chicago the night before and leave from Chicago, but that uses up another day of vacation:(

Hey guys! I got it all worked out, FINALLY!!! My TA quoted me a price this morning of $117 per person for double occupancy for 7 nights including transfers. I also will be getting every sixth room free. This is it for me, its the deal I wanted! All of my family is staying for 7 nights, so we should have 2 free rooms. We are giving those to our mom's just for being our moms! Yeah, so excited. She is drawing up a contract and I should be good to sign it soon. I am pretty happy this worked out, I really wanted to stay with NOW. JB:Have you gotten any pricing for kiddos at NOW? She was unsure and was going to let me know,looks like we will have three kids all 2 and under. And you mentioned flight pricing coming out soon? Do you know how far they post it in advance? My TA was thinking I wouldn't know anything until at least summertime. Chris, my FI, is saying flights may be cheaper to book in the fall since gas will be cheaper then. My TA said she is getting closer to around $119 for double occ. That being said she thinks they aren't going to go for the every sixth room free. I just don't get this...why advertise it when you are not willing to give it to people? She is assuring me that I will be happy with NOW, she has several Mexico NOW brides who said only good things about their experiences. Is it May 1 yet? Ha ha! Maybe once they get up and rolling this will become an easier process. Until then, I just wait!

MsClarke: I feel your pain! I feel like everything is pretty expensive right now too. I am wanting airfare plus land for around $3200 a couple and it seems almost impossible. I also have been playing the waiting game with pricing and am very frustrated as well.I have only been dealing with it for 8 weeks though, not 4 months! I would say if you are considering a cheaper resort check out the NOW larimar. It is just changing managment and will be run by Amresorts(same as Dreams management) as of May 1. Since it is newer management you may find that the specials are cheaper. Most of us over there are being quoted about $120 per person per night so around 1600$ per couple for the week. This is only a bit better than what you are being quoted at Dreams. Good luck, I know it is frustrating!

JB: I love your dress! It is amazing! They have done such a good job on it, very close to original. I don't think it looks peach, I think its the light and the reflection off the sash. Its perfect! I had not heard of that knock off site, almost wish I would have! They are doing a great job for you. I would ask them to send pics without the jacket though just to make sure it is exactly what you want. Also, your save the date monogram is adorable! Did you do it yourself or hire someone? Have you checked out the dinner cruise options? Is it expensive? We thought about it but I hadn't researched it much yet. I totally understand the budgeting for guests. We are having so few people that I am not having a reception with a DJ so I figured I could spend a bit more on a dress! That being said, I would like to treat our guests to something nice like a cruise or excursion too.

It is a strapless, slim A-line gown featuring beautiful lace accents. The bodice has a delicate lace overlay highlighting the empire waistline as soft satin ruches asymmetrically to the skirt. The slim, A-line skirt is soft as the satin creates romantic caught-up details throughout. It has not been altered in any way and has been stored at the Boutique. I am a street size 8 and this dress is a size 12. My measurements are 38/30/40. It has not been hemmed so height is no issue. Its beautiful, it just wasn't perfect for me.I paid about $850 for it and am asking $650 OBO. Feel free to PM me if you want pics of me in it.

I am still just trying to make sure I made the right decision with NOW.I still have no confirmation that I have my date and time even though I paid for it. It has been several days, they said they got the info but just no confirmation. I am also going on two weeks without hearing from someone regarding room rates. I guess they don't really want me to book since I am getting no response. I am seriously emailing every day as well as is my TA. So frustrating!!!
