JB: Oh my goodness, I am right with you about the lack of response!!! I can't take it anymore. And you are right, its not just the lack of response, it's the constant resending of paperwork we already have in reponse to other questions. Its like they don't even know who we are, or care for that matter. Everyone who emails them apparently gets the same reponse as they are doing the same thing to my TA. This is why it's taking so long for the contract to be made.AHHHH!! The only thing keeping me going is Pastor York's reassurance that the weddings there are amazing and that Claribel does a great job. And after what happened to DeeSanders....starting to worry a bit about my decision. Love the bridesmaide dress. It looks orange to me! Very cute and will be cool in the heat. Sarah:Any news on pricing? Also, thanks for the tips on lanterns at Target. I never made it over the weekend. Will try to go this week. I spent a lot of yesterday making my STD's. I decided to go with boarding passes instead of luggage tags. I made them in Word, and they look pretty good. My question to you guys is do you know if i have imported fonts onto my computer and used them, will they print out ok if I take them to Kinko's? I tried to print a sample at work today and since the fonts aren't installed on the computer here it printed wrong. Would kinko's work if I save it on my flash drive?

I love them, they are so cute. I was actually just looking at them to wear every day but they will go with your wedding colors perfectly. Sarah:I am on my way to Target today! I will check out the dollar aisle for sure. We are also planning a big "housewarming" party for June so I need to get some cute decorations for that too. We are having around 120 people to the party so it will be bigger than our wedding, ha ha! We live on a lake, so I am going to try to keep them all out on the beach, but I don't know how well that will work out. So I need cute outdoor stuff to put on tables and things. Anyone have a good website for paper laterns? I want some for the party the I could possibly take to Punta Cana.

No contract yet, she said she is waiting on the resort! If that is the case it may be next year before I get it, ha ha. Hopefully this week,will send it to you asap. She did tell me that if you want the "free" upgrade in room that is included in your wedding package that you have to book the deluxe pool view and then they will upgrade you to ocean view. She said you have to ask to do that or they won't give you the upgrade when you get there. Good to know... Spent the day on our wedding website. Hey girls! We don't have a Christmas shop either, bummer! Those finds are great JB. I love those bags! Sarah, that barefoot jewelry is really pretty! I would say go for it. I initially wanted to be barefoot, but the dress I bought only comes in certain lengths and can't be shortened due to the lace at the bottom. I am only five feet tall, so I am already going to have to wear at least 3 inch platforms on my flip flops even with the shortest length they offer.Grrrr.... Anyone heard from DeeSanders? Haven't seen her around here since the mishap with the credit card...hope she got it all worked out. I spent the morning working on my monograms. Think I have some good options! Took me 3 hours though. Oh well, now I am on to making my website. I need to get more posts too so I can open attachments so I can start on save the dates. Not sure if you guys know about it, but a great website is ayleebits.com. It is helping me a ton. Have a good Saturday.

Awesome designs girls! This may be a lame question, but I have been trying to do mine in Word. Anyone know how to get a circle around your logo? I used to have word 2007 and could do it no problem, but not that I have word 10 I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks

Hey girls! I am a NOW Larimar bride in Punta Cana. We can't seem to get the WC to respond to us lately so I was wondering how much Pilar told you the day pass for the outside photographer is? Is it around $75?I had heard that at one time, but I wasn't sure and have booked an outside photographer already. Also, when you guys say expenisve for flowers, how expensive and what kind of flowers are they including in the packages? Thanks for your help...we are getting nowhere lately with the WC at the Larimar. They just changed from NH Real to NOW, so we are thinking that is the problem. Thanks!

Moni Woni:Nice find! I can't wait to see pictures. So I finally got my monogram to upload, but when I transferred it to jpeg form it changed it a lot! I had a shadow behind our names and dates and now it looks like a slashed line. Any ideas? JB March:How do I make it as big as yours?

DeeSanders:OMG, that is AWFUL!!! They charged my card $99 immediately and that was it. We have been checking the charges daily though because we were worried about it. When did the $99 go through-yesterday? And then today was the random stuff? What kind of charges and what amounts? I would call the resort directly and raise heck. That is unacceptable. Emy prob. doesn't even know it is happening. I am so sorry. Hang in there. Cancel your card right away too-how sad and awful. How did you finally get your monogram to upload? I have it saved in word form and no matter what I do I can't get it to upload.

DeeSanders:They charged my card the same day I sent it over. I had sent Emy an email two times that day asking if she got it and she didn't respond. I tried not to worry about it since the card had been charged the right amount. It took her about 3 weeks to send my confirmation email. I think it ended up being the same for MoniWoni. Can your TA call over and ask? That is what my TA ended up doing. They can't give out her direct line, but I think most of the TA's have it. I would be uneasy as well since they have not charged the card. Maybe also email her daily, sometimes that works too. JB:I bet they will get you your confirmation email in a few days. I just wish they would at least respond to us to say they are working on it! I think my monogram is done finally. I am having a bit of trouble uploading it as well, but I will work on that tonight so you guys can see it.

I wonder why it is so much cheaper to fly from Chicago to Punta Cana than anywhere else? My TA has even said we may have my guests from Kansas fly to Chicago on Friday night and fly out from there on Saturday because it will save so much money. Air from there is around $400-500 and everywhere else is pushing 1000! Sara you are lucky to be leaving from there. Keep us posted when the new rates come out, I am curious and have not signed a contract yet. Anyone heard from Emy or Claribel recently? I have had a few questions but not heard back in a couple of weeks.Really want to know if I should be ordering my real touch flowers or what the resort will be offering. Angel's accents, the company I want to order flowers from if need be is already booked through December! Unreal! Well,hope planning is going well for everyone. Hey guys! Back after a busy Mother's day weekend in my home town. So I heard from Pastor York this weekend, he said he did a wedding at the NOW on Saturday. He said it was amazing and he noticed no major changes in the resort since the change in management. He said everything was beautiful and ran very smoothly thanks to Claribel and Emy. He did say Emy does help with wedding stuff. He said not to worry, even if it takes a bit to hear back from them. I thought that was good news. Looks like everyone is getting a lot done! Moni, I love those flowers-they look awesome. I have heard nothing but good things about Real Touch. I am considering using Angels Accents for my flowers. Are you considering using real touch? Have you gotten any info on what flowers are included yet at the resort? Sara:Those prices are ridicoulously low! How in the world did you get air that low? Are you flying from Canada? If I could get these prices I wouldn't sign my contract that my TA is working on. You are using AppleVacations? Wow, I am impressed. DeeSanders:Love the bouts they look awesome and such a great price! Great job. No contract yet, she is writing it with the resort this week. I am anxious about it-especially if Sara is getting those crazy low rates. JB:I like the idea of the seashell "flowers", I think I would just include them around regular flowers though. Well, I have tomorrow off so I hope to do a bit of work on my ideas for save the date and a website. Hopefully it will turn out as good as all of yours!

JB-Love those inspiration pics you posted for Moni! I really am wondering what flowers they will offer. I am sure it will be tropical only and I refuse to pay $350 for the upgrade. I really want light pink and white peonies with light green and white hydrangias. Looks like I may need to purchase a real touch! Thanks for the help on the monogram, worked a bit on it last night. Moni-Love the wording, I make steal it as well! Ha ha! Do you have access to powerpoint? I am working on my monograms too and I am finding this the easiest, even over word. Not sure if you can use that program with a Mac though? JamieBride-Those prices are AMAZING!!!!! Thats almost as good as the opening special. Pass that info on to DeeSanders, she is having trouble getting pricing for next Aug, so that is pretty close to you in time. Soon2be-We are all still getting different price quotes for next April. You should be able to get something locked in now though, I have. Have your TA be persistent with the resort. They kept blowing us off too but we hounded them until they gave in. My pricing is as follows:All rates are per person and include tax and transfers and are double occupancy(I have pricing for singles too if you need it): Tropical view 5 nights $600, 7 nights 820. Ocean view 5 nights $680, 7 nights 935. This is for the week of April 14-21. I have heard prices drop starting the second week of April as spring break is over. I believe "preferred club" is extra. We have gone to several Amresorts and the one time we did preferred club we did not feel it was worth the extra money, plus we want to spend our time with our guests, not in a fancy pool that excludes them.Hope this helps!

It isn't the contract yet, it is just the prices she quoted me which I posted yesterday on here anyway. As soon as I get the contract I will send it through to anyone who wants it though. I am getting close,I should be able to get it to everyone next week. Do you work in a hospital? I work for a plastic surgeon, its pretty fun and much different than the hospital. I really like the ideas of all of the colors, I think they will come together well.The tying of the bows is what i noticed first,very fun. I really like the lower left set up as well. We are not doing much in the way of set up for reception, I am staying almost too simple I think. Oh well, that is why we decided to go with a destination wedding! JB:Love the dress, the did such a great job. You look awesome, once you have it altered it will be perfect for you. i really love the sash, I am addicted to them. It was the one thing I wanted to for sure have on my dress. It will go great with the colors you have too.The color of the dress matches your skin tone well too! Jamiebride:Welcome and congrats! You are not behind at all, you have plenty of time for this fun planning stuff. We decided on a beach ceremony also, that is what I have always wanted. I have heard that the beach area for weddings at the NOW is more secluded than other beach weddings, so that helped. I have not heard back from the WC about what my options are going to be for receptions. I agree with JB that the buffet is only for 50 or more guests. That being said, I think if your wedding is on a Friday night they have a beach party with a buffet and your guests can do that. Not sure if the beach party will stick around once they get up and going though. I also am hoping for an outside reception that is in a garden or poolside-but they have not answered my questions regarding these options. Be patient, ha ha.

Sara:Sounds like you are doing great with all of your DIY projects, thanks for the advice on printing. I was thinking about doing it at work, but you are right, that would be a lot. JB:Thanks for the info on using Word, I will have to test it out when my FI gets back this week. He has our laptop that has word on it, mine doesn't. May have to get it now! I am getting closer to getting a contract with my TA. She sent over the page for me to sign today that says how many rooms we are holding! I am so glad we all decided to stick with NOW too! It will be so much fun to plan together. I have spent the last two hours picking my way through the STD/Invite/monogram threads and I just can't figure it all out. I am creatively challenged apparently! Although I do scrapbook, so I should be able to get a handle on it eventually. How did you girls do your monograms? I love them. What software are you using? Powerpoint or something? I don't have access to much at home or work. I am a nurse and we don't use computers very well, ha ha! What about a wedding website, are you guys setting up your own? JB, I love your STD's. They are amazing- you made them yourself? I finally received my confirmation letter today from Emy, so I really have to get on it! I am out of town this weekend, but next weekend I have free. My FI thinks I should just buy all of this stuff since we have so few people coming but I really want to try to make it first! I think I want to do STD luggage tags and passport invites. Ahhhh, the hours I will spend figuring this out.

Lisa, Congrats! What a beautiful ceremony, you looked gorgeous.I loved your vows too. I have a couple of questions for you, first were your flowers real touch? I think I saw somewhere along here that you were getting real touch, but I can't remember. They were very pretty. If so, who did you get them through? Also, did you do your own hair and makeup or did the resort do it for you? I love, love, love your hair! Very similar to what I want to do....were they extensions? If so where did you purchase them? Hi Kara80, Yes, that is it! It is now branded as a NOW resort and will have similar resturants/bars as the NOW Jade. The decor will stay the same. What did you think when you were there?
