Our color is purple. More of like an eggplant/plum purple. So far we have about 73 people booked which is a lot more than I thought would come! We put on our invitations to give us a reply by March 18th so hopefully people will let us know by then so we can really get a good number. As of now we are booked for the north beach but I go back and forth with doing the beach or gazebo. I think the gazebo looks great in pictures but I have always wanted to get married on the beach so I don't know for sure yet. Other than that we haven't really done much else. I have a whole email folder of ideas that I have gotten from this forum so pretty soon I will have to nail down what decorations we are doing. We are trying to figure out what my fiance is going to wear. He really wants to wear a suit so we are probably going to go with a white linen suit. I have seen some past weddings with pictures of grooms with white suits so I think it will look good. I just don't want it to look cheesy!

I am using the dj from the resort mainly because I think that is my only option. I emailed discomovil and they said that they no longer could dj at drc.

Yea I want to wear a flower in my hair too and also don't know if it will be too much. I always thought I would wear a veil and then when I went to buy it the bridal store made me question it. I am probably going to look through pictures of past beach weddings

I am confused if I want to wear a veil or not for a beach wedding. Is anyone wearing a veil? I was thinking that it might be windy and just get in the way

Yes we will definitely have to meet up! I am jealous that you are going to be there so long. I'm starting to feel like a week isn't long enough especially because several guests are staying for the same amount of time. We were thinking of taking another trip a couple months after and calling that our honeymoon What are your wedding colors? How many people are you expecting?

Hello, I haven't posted anything for a while and just got caught up on like 40 pages of posts. This forum is so helpful and has given me so many ideas. Now that my wedding is less than 4 months from now I am starting to freak out! I noticed that there are a few brides near my wedding date (May 18th). I get there the 16th and leave the 22nd so if anyone is going to be there during that time we should meet up! If someone has pictures of centerpieces, buffet menu and bouquets can you please send it to [email protected]. I have emailed evangelina but she only likes to answer some of my questions so it is very frustrating. I read on here that someone numbered their questions so I tried that yesterday so we shall see if she answers them all.

You look gorgeous and I love your dress. My dress is very similar to yours! I want to do an all white bouquet for myself and I love yours. Is that a choice they gave to you or did you send a photo of it to them? Did you have to pay extra for that one or is that what was included it the package? Congratulation!

Hey there, When are you getting married? We are getting married May 18th and we haven't booked room rates yet. My travel agent wants me to but I want to wait until you can look at the flight info first. A lot of times you can find a cheaper rate (like on expedia) booking room and flight together and then hopefully the travel agent can match it. Are you using a travel agent?

They only gave me 2 options, 4 or 5. I'm not sure why that is but I'm sure there is some reason for that.

Oh yay! You can come check out my wedding I haven't done much besides putting a deposit on the resort. I figure that I have over a year to figure that out so I will probably wait a little bit to decide on those things.

Congratulations Aimee!! Our wedding date is May 18, 2012 at 5:00. I couldn't decide between 4 or 5 but then thought the lighting would be better for the pictures if we did it at 5. What day are you getting to the resort? We will be there from May 16-23.

I think you have to get there 4 days before if you are going to have a legal marriage. I am getting legally married before I get to Mexico so we are only getting there 2 days before. Well if you are going to be there til the following friday then we will for sure be there at the same time! We will definitely have to meet up. Congratulations to you too!!

So you are the reason that I couldn't book that weekend I was really surprised that it is already booked for next year but that must mean that it is an awesome place to get married. How long are y'all staying? We are gonna get there Wednesday the 16th so if you are still there we should meet up. It seems so far away and I'm so excited! Hopefully time will fly by

Good to know that I have some time My ta is really trying to get me to secure 10 rooms and I am having a hard time deciding if I want to get the regular rooms or the preferred rooms. What is everyone else doing? I have a friend who got married here and she said everyone got the preferred and it was awesome but she said that she couldn't really compare it since she didn't have anyone staying with just the premium rate. So many details, so glad I have over a year to plan!

Hey Everyone, I am just joining this website and I wasn't sure that I wanted to book my wedding at DRC until I started reading some of the stuff that y'all have posted. Our wedding isn't until May 2012 but I figure it is never too early to start planning I actually tried to book our wedding for the 1st 2 weekends in May 2012 but they are already booked!!! I thought for sure we could book this far out and get the weekend we wanted. So we don't have it secured yet but we are probably doing it May 18th. I am going to very busy reading all of the past posts. Are any of y'all doing Dreams of Love or Dreams Ultimate? I was leaning towards the Love package but now pretty sure I want to do the Ultimate. I just didn't know if it was that significant of a difference. Can anyone tell me the difference between the silver and gold dinner party? Thanks, Sarah
