Thank you so much for your advice. I actually ended up filling one room that day. Apparently people were waiting for our travel agent to get back to them and haven't booked because of that. I was not happy with her that day and kind of flipped out. I agree that Oct is waaay too early for many people to book and know their schedules....now i realize that. Back in June I thought that 5 months was plenty of time for people to figure out if they are coming or not but I guess i was wrong. I did however sign a contract but I feel like working in the industry they could have given me better advice, Im sure im not the only one who ended up in this situation. I felt pressured by them because they kept scaring me that prices will be a lot more if i don't reserve rooms NOW. I pray that i can fight for my deposits. My bridal shower is on Sunday and I am feeling nervous. I hate public speaking and im nervous about my thank you speech. It's silly but im actually feeling sick to my stomach about it. aaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!! Just had to get that out.

EMERGENCY!!!!!! So our travel agent just informed me that we have 3 rooms not booked and deadline is FRIDAY!!!!! or we will lose our deposits. Is anyone interested in booking March 7th-14th 2012?? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!!! Has anyone else dealt with this before? Is there any way at all for us to get our deposits back? My travel agent said that she deals with a supplier not the hotel so Im assuming its LOMAS. Is there anything I can do? Call them crying?? Im crying right now. Thats 1200.00 down the drain (200pp was the deposit) Its so frustrating knowing that more people will book just not by Friday. They only gave us 1 week extension. Please help!

Hey Everyone! The count down is now 150 days! I am having my shower next weekend and then its back to wedding planning. I'm using Claudia Rodriguez photo-anyone worked with her? She is one of the preferred vendors that wasn't on the original list. We are thinking of getting the mariachi band for the cocktail hr. Wer using a DJ, whatever one the resort recommends. Lomas and flowers: Okay so I looked at the lomas website and I think I picked out my bouquet (im going to order shells and a few real touch flowers from etsy.com to add to the bouquet) But I am not impressed with their centerpieces. Is it me or are they totally overpriced?? 3 glass vases for 100 to rent??? I think Im better off going to the dollar store. Anyone have any ideas for original but not costly centerpieces? Oh forgot my main question: anyone know the table dimentions? for the round tables? Thanks!

I am from Toronto Canada. We are having our ceremony on the beach with the reception at Zavas Plaza. My colors are coral and aqua blue. Maybe we can share some stuff. I was looking to bring my own fabric for gazebo and lights etc...lanterns maybe. We are expecting about 30 people i think, maybe more. i will find out soon enough. It's hard to know because some people I thought for sure would come, can't and others i didnt expect to travel are now coming, so we will c. Have you chosen a photographer yet? I am going with Claudia but still have to pick which photographer we want. Our friends are all really excited about the destination wedding, it will be a first for everyone and we have a fun crowd so it should be a great trip We just attended the last wedding of the season so now we're next :S Starting to get nervous. oh yay! im not alone in March anymore Where are you from akopca? Its been a while since ive been on here and boy does the time fly. the countdown clock on Weddingwire actually makes me wanna throw up. My shower is coming up and ive been busy getting that ready so wedding planning took a break for a while. My registry experience was not as fun as they make it look in movies. It was stressful never owning a house and having to decide what i need and what colours and i just felt so overwhelmed. The mothers kept being practical and i couldnt decide on stupid china patterns lol Then my fiance and I went together and it was fun. We just decided to say "who cares lets just get what we want" and without the pressure we actually enjoyed it. I am having my dress made, I just tried it on the other day and fell in love with it!!! so excited but so nervous about having everything done. i am a huge procrastinator. Congrats to everyone! some of the pics and videos on here look absolutely amazing and I cannot wait!!! After attending many weddings this summer all I can say is "Thank God we going away!!!" we are all doing the right thing ladies. woohooo!

I love the seashell bouquet!!! Its so unique. I just cant help but picture using that during the bouquet toss and killing someone lol but it really is beautiful and a great alternative to flowers. I think I may use this idea for centre pieces.

Wow the invites and the playlist look awesome...props on Prince choices Im a big fan !!! Ive been very busy at work so my planning had to stop for a bit. Can't wait for school year to be over so I can finally do all the fun stuff you ladies write about I also wanted to say thank you everyone for such great tips and advice. Where did you order your maracas from? I tried looking for plain wooden ones I could paint myself but all I could find were already painted ones that don't really match my colour scheme.

anyone watch the Royal Wedding? I was up at 5am w my best friend and MOH. It was so beautiful. really made me excited about my own wedding. I really feel that their love is genuine. Kate looked fantastic!!! Such a princess wedding, i loved it now im super tired and have to work still...ugh...thats what i get for getting up at 5am. Congratulations to all you April brides!!! Can;t wait to hear everything about your trip and wedding and post pics..pleeeease!!! Love is in the air today <3

Hi Girls,so the other day we all received an engagement party invite for this girl I work with. Her wedding is 4 months away and she is still having a shower and batchelorette and stag. Now the invitation had registry info in it. Personally I felt this to be very rude. Your engagement party is to announce your engagement and not for gifts I thought and when I googles proper etiquette it always says "never, ever put registry info in the invitation" Some people put their registry in wedding invite and although its not in my tatse I can understand this for a wedding or shower. But engagement party??? I fell like this girl is trying to make money.

Came to my fiance's house thinking we'll talk wedding but he is watching hockey.....quess thats the beginning of married life hahaha. Its okay Ill get to do what I like and that is web search wedding stuff and gossip with the girls haha.
