  1. Thank you so much for the thorough review Natalia! I'm sorry to hear of the hiccups (ants?! the dvd?!) but your positive attitude is a GREAT reminder of what the day is really about and from the looks of your beautiful pics, I'm sure your guests thought it was flawless! A few questions for you: with the DJ, did you go with JSAV or an outsider? I know many brides say an Ipod is the way to go, but I really want a DJ to make the announcements and keep the party goin (w/out having to ask one of my guests to emcee). I've heard we have to use JSAV (which I'm not opposed to if they're good, but I've found very limited reviews on them) - but I've also heard we can use an outside DJ, but they have to pay some ludicrous insurance fee, etc....? Also, with the hair/makeup - I was thinking it would be fun/convenient to have an outside team come to my room (MVP, Fernando,....still deciding), but I want to see how ASP's Spa pricing compares. Do you have their pricing list for bridal hair/makeup? Congrats on being a newlywed and THANK YOU for any answers you can provide to the above!!
  2. Great thanks! Just trying to get some quotes and finalize a DJ and hair/makeup team, as well as looking at BM dresses. Where are you with everything?
  3. Sorry just saw this for some reason! Still in the design phase of them - my lady (Cleverly Invite) is great, but these 'custom' invites are taking forevverrrr....lol....I'm starting to wish I had gone the DIY passport or ordered them online/from a stationer! I'm trying to reel in bridezilla & be patient I'll definitely post them as soon as I have the final proof!
  4. Congrats Mandi and welcome! Enjoy the planning - this site has plenty of helpful info and ideas!
  5. It's all so beautiful - congrats! I esp. love your dress & the BM dresses!!

  8. Welcome and congrats!! I'm getting married at Aventura Palace near Tulum - it's a beautiful area! Choosing a resort is definitely the hardest part, but I'm sure after much research, you'll be happy with the one you pick! Best of luck!
  9. Thanks for the suggestion to look at their FB page - we are considering this for our honeymoon spot and it looks perfect!
  10. These are so cute!! I like how you used other brides ideas, but really made it your own - very unique!
  11. Congrats and welcome! You definitely still have time to plan, so try not to stress Do you have your dress? Your colors picked? Booked your vendor(s) if you're using outside ones (photographer, DJ, makeup/hair)? There's an OVERWHELMING amount of helpful info on this site, so just jump right in! I did a site visit to Aventura in March and, if you haven't been, the resort is beautiful!
  12. I think Lindy S is right - it's around $140/150 - but I'm going to look at them on Monday with my MOH so I'll post the price then! Hopefully it'll be just as beautiful in person as it is online!
  13. So cute - the girls will love! I esp. like the personalized spa robes!
  14. My vote is #1 - they are both pretty, but the first has a lighter, more 'airy' feel (like a DW!) You can't go wrong with either, but I like the first

Congrats on your Jamaican wedding and welcome to the forum! It truly IS the best source for ideas, advice, etc. - happy planning!
  16. These turned out perfectly - your guests will LOVE!!!!! They are so personal too (I like the memorable dates at the beginning and the note from you two at the end). Great job
  17. No (I wish!) they only sell them at Liz Fields retailers. Just go to their website and click on 'Store Locator' and hopefully there will be one near you! Here is the link for the dress/style #: http://www.lizfields.com/Product/Bridesmaid-Dresses/Short-Halter-Style-362/ I'm trying to decide between this dress and another, but the girls like this one so it may be a winner!
  18. Here's one I like from Liz Fields (it's a finalist for my BM dresses, but ours will be coral) - I like it bc it's chiffon, so lightweight and 'beachy'
  19. Congrats Melanie & welcome to the (best) forum!! Dive right in - there are so many great ideas and helpful insight from other brides!
